In a low voice, Vignette responds "Sergeant Germaine Vilroy sent us ter 'elp ye'.  We understan' dat you've witnessed a crime? We're 'ere ter 'elp."

Nicely done.

"Ok, but wait a minute. Why didn't Vilroy come?" Coal asks, very dubiously.

Mia would observe and keep a keen eye around the room now that Vignette's taking care of business.

"She didn't want to cause a scene." Cora said. "She sent us to simply ask what happened. Can you tell us? We don't want any trouble."

That was partially true. Deep down Cora liked trouble. She liked being in it, she liked creating it, and she liked fighting her way out of it. Is that the kind of person I am? Maybe. Is that the kind of person I was? Oh, yes. Well what kind of person am I now? That's up to you.

Her mind wandered briefly, waiting for an answer, as if her brain was telling her she should go find trouble. Cora ignored the impulse. She did, however, casually brush open her long leather jacket so her fingers could very slowly caress the hilt of one of her sword swords holstered in it's thigh sheath. 

You know. Just in case. Her fingers move in an almost sexual manner, for if, or when, the shit hit the ******* fan, she would do what she did best after making love. Killing.

"Alright." Coal said. "I guess that makes sense." Coal hurriedly explains about her witnessing the kidnapping of a child from House Orien, the murder of her friend Razor, and Daask’s hunt for artifacts in Old Sharn. She talks in a hurried manner, and half of the words she's saying doesn't really make sense just yet to you all, and Cora was about to ask her to slow the **** down, but something caught the corner of her eye...

"****!!" Cora barked, pushing Bea out of the way. A bolt of fire exploded inches from Bea’s head, and Cora was hit with a spell. She flung back from the hit and she slammed into the bar counter, crumpling to the floor. Complete chaos erupts in the Cog Carnival. Coal runs for her life, shouting "You set me up!!"

The chase is on!

"Crap!" Athela barks out in a very unladylike manner, a marked difference from her usual composed self. "Come on, we have to go after her! Bea, get Cora back up!" She wheels after Coal, gritting her teeth. "We did not!"

An annoyed curse in Elven leaves Willows mouth before she springs into action, bolting after Coal out of the Bar before her body forms some more fur, subtle claws emerging and she gets a boost in speed (40 ft per turn). She attempt to weave herself through anyone who gets in her way, putting her flexibility to use. "Hey! Come back! That had nothing to do with us! It didnt even come near you." 

“Son of a...” Mia would snap alert, hand on the hilt of her sword and the other pulls out her shield. She’d activate her divine sense as she scans the room for the attacker while Cora picks herself up and Athela goes for Coal.

Vignette is caught right in the middle of the mass chaos and confusion.  Her only immediate reaction is to stoop down and pick up Cora from the floor, and offer any medical aid she can to revive her (Medicine: 21).

While attempting to revive Cora, she yells out to the rest of the team "...'Alf of you, protect Coal!  De other 'alf, find oyt who is attackin' us!"

Bea let out a squeak in surprise at the sudden shove, the blonde managing to stay on her feet only to stare wide eyed at the now crumpled up Cora having taken a blow from a spell. The world around her felt as if it were going in slow motion; Vignette trying to bring Cora back up, Willow darting after the warforged, Athela barking out orders. Her heart beat was pounding so loudly in her ears it was almost deafening, until finally she shook herself out of her shock and moved.

If Vignette’s medical efforts on Cora didn’t work, Bea would rush over to the rogues side and cast Cure Wounds on her, giving her back 9 health.

If the monks efforts did help, Bea would still rush over to Cora’s side and look to Vignette with fear in her eyes. “You’re pretty fast, a’intcha? You oughta go after Willow and the warforged. We got it here, promise.” 

Bea also gives Vignette some bardic inspiration for the chase! 

Coal sprints out into the street. A female shifter and 4 kobolds run into the Cog, see Coal and a few of you running away, and the enemy group splits in two:

The shifter chases after Coal, Athela, and Willow. The 4 kobolds attack Bea, Cora, and Mia.

Cora groans as she's healed and attended to and takes a moment to figure out what the **** is going on. She sees the kobolds and gets up, shaking off the fire bolt burn mark on her chest. "Oh, you little mother ****ers, wow, did you pick on the wrong person today." she drew her blades and kicked a few chairs out of the way to give her some space.

After helping Cora back up to her feet, Vignette was about to follow Bea’s advice and sprint outside in hot pursuit of Coal, when the Kobolds attacked. Deciding to stick around and help her friends fend off the Kobolds, she quickly unattaches her spear, spins it in a wide arc, and then tucks it under her arm and with the other hand, motions to one of the Kobolds to come here....

Those of you outside, Coal runs into an alley. The shifter chasing you all clearly wants her dead and doesn't mind killing you both, too.

”This is what they want, to separate us. Let’s make this quick.” She scowls seeing her path to the others blocked off by the Kobolds. “Come get me!” She’d taunt them with a few loud hits of her sword against her shield.

Seeing the Kobolds ignore her and head for her comrades, Mia would charge K3 who attacked Bea, hoping to gut him with her sword.
