"Was he expecting you?" says the clerk, looking down at his ledger. "I do not have your name on my list. Still, today is not a normal day and I have been instructed to rescheduled all this morning's appointments. Would you like to schedule another time... Perhaps this afternoon."

The clerk repeats Guilliame's blessing as he heads out the door and Handsman Rudd also wishes him a good day as he steps out of the building.

He turns towards home but then hears someone call his name. Looking round, he see Basilly and Seeker Lomani walking up the street towards the Sheriff's Office, it was Basilly who called his name.

Seeker Lomani stops him by putting her hand on his shoulder.
"Hello Master de Marchant," says Seeker Lomani, cutting in to take over the conversation. "I see you are now working for the Watch. How did this come about?"

"Hello, Seeker. The sheriff asked if I could help out and I have to confess I need the extra income at present."
She nods and then, noticing the sword Guilliame is carrying, says, "It is strange that you use a straight blade rather than a scimitar... I take it you did not serve in the Sorendenese army?"
Guilliame sees Basilly's interest drift from the conversation to looking around at the throng of people moving in the now busy street; clearly he is looking for someone.

Basilly starts and looks guilty after Guilliame's question and Seeker Lomani shoots him a black look before turning back to Guilliame.
"I believe you met Apprentice Vidon last night," she says. "Have you seen him?"

"Thank you," says Seeker Lomani. "And a blessed day to you, Master de Guilliame."
She then takes a couple of steps towards the Sheriff's Office before stopping. "Basilly," she says, over her shoulder. "Wait out here until the carriage arrives with the men. I will be inside."
"Yes, Seeker," Basilly replies, looking the most anxious Guilliame has ever seen him.
Seeker Lomani then once more continues to walk towards the Sheriff's Office.

"I am going to do an Identify spell on the liquid in this bottle. I might be able to determine who made it. Good luck with your investigations. See you later."
Still looking anxious, Basilly says goodbye as Guilliame walks away. The last sight of the Sheriff's Office is of a carriage full of black-armoured Donai Temple guards arriving in front of the office.
Guilliame arrives home without incident to find the shop open and Granny dealing with a customer.
