[OOC: There are no deodorants as we know them in this world (i.e., something that both stops perspiration and kills body odour), but there would be perfumes and other cosmetic substances (e.g., hair pomade) that could be used to cover up the smell of body odour. Also, the Prestidigitation cantrip might be of use to a spell caster, if used cleverly. As to whether Masterful Mixtures has any of these sorts of things, I will leave that up to you to decide. Perhaps this could be a new line of products.

Have a whiff and see whether some potpourri might be of assistance. 

Guilliame doesn't need to take a sniff of the man as it is quite easy to smell the large amount of fragrant sandalwood oil he is wearing. Guilliame then quickly comes to the realisation that the man is seeking feminine company for the night and his enquiries are most likely for something to help him in the bedroom.

"I can give you something that is a bit of a pick-me-up that might give you a bit more spring in your step, so to  speak, in another way of saying."

Offer him some ginger at a large mark up.

[OOC: LOL. Make a Persuasion check to convince the man to pay your heavily marked-up price. Also, how much do you want to charge? According to the Player's Handbook, a lb of ginger costs 1 gold piece, which equates to 1 Constantine in this setting.]

You wouldn't need a whole pound for an evening. Perhaps a piece would be 1/10 of a pound. Try charging 5 Lions for that.

"I'll buy that for 5 Lions," says the man eagerly, following Guilliame into the shop. "How do I take it? Do I just eat it, or make it into a tea?"

"Taking it with tea will maximise it's effect. Just let me rejuvinate it for you."

Do a Prestidigitation with some sparks over it and hand it over to the customer.

The customer seems very impressed with Guilliame's display of magic and hands over the 5 lions eagerly before exiting the store with the small knob of ginger clutched tightly in his hand. [I have added the coins to the shop's till.]

With the customer gone, Guilliame picks up a broom and starts sweeping the floor.

"Are you getting changed to go out to dinner?" asks Granny Naomi, dress in her best set of clothes, as she enters the shop. "If you finish the sweeping, I will do the rest of the close while you get ready."

Get scrubbed up and put on my best tunic. Top up money pouch with 1 Engle , 10 Cons and 10 Lions. Put it under the tunic.

Guilliame is soon ready to head off to the school to meet up with Velma and it is not too long before the two of them head off towards the School. However, Guilliame finds the going initially a little slow as Granny tends to want to stop and talk to the people who greet her in the local neighbourhood. Still, the afternoon is pleasant and it isn't too long before they are approaching the School.

Granny begins to look a little hesitant. "Is that man still there?" she asks. "The one that can hear people's thoughts?"

"Master Minton. Not at the moment. He has disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Also I don't believe he can read minds anymore. It seems to be quite a relief to him."

"I did not hear of any of this," says Granny, seemingly shocked at the news. "Do they have any idea what happened to him?"

"A mysterious woman turned up at the school and had an effect on several people there. I missed all the action but you can ask Velm about it. She saw something first hand. She is a bit embarrassed about something though so don't push her too hard."

"Mysterious women at the School of Occult Studies..." says Granny slowly before quipping, "I would have thought that was the usual course of events."

By this time, Guilliame and Granny have reached the entrance to the School and Guilliame knocks on the door while his grandmother looks around attentively. "I have never been this close before," she says. "Are you sure they will let me in."

She then jumps a little as Bruxa starts barking on the other side of the door.

After a few moments, the door opens tentatively and the young Seb looks out.

"Hello Guilliame," he says after looking intently at Granny. "Who is this that you have brought with you?"

"Hello Seb. This is my grandmother. We've come to pick up Velma."

"Hello Grandmother de Marchant," says Seb politely before turning back to Guilliame and adding, "Your grandmother cannot enter the grounds proper, but she can stay here in the gate house with me while you do... It is a new policy." 

Meanwhile, Bruxa is making whining sounds and Guilliame can see him straining against the chain that connects him to his kennel.

"That is okay," says Granny Naomi, though Guilliame can hear some disappointment in her voice. "I can play with the dog while you get Velma... That is if the dog is friendly?"

"Thanks Seb. Bruxa is very friendly. I'll go and see if Velma is ready to come now. If she's not I'll come straight back."

When Granny gets to see Bruxa properly, she gives a low whistle and says, "He is big. Does he jump up on people?"

Seb steps in between Granny and the eager dog and says with a smile, "Do not worry. I will keep him in check and he is generally very friendly."

Leaving the two to pat the dog, Guilliame makes his way to the library where he finds Velma collecting books off the tables.

"Hello Guilliame, is it that time already?" she asks. She then hands Guilliame the stack of books she is carrying and adds, "Help me take these books to my office and I will put them back in the shelves tomorrow."

She then quickly gathers up the remaining books and leads the way towards her office.

"I am really looking forward to dinner tonight. Is your grandmother coming?"
