Ireniana nods at the goblins before turning to Erky. "We are not the ones who killed him, so we should not have to worry about the consequences of that. Perhaps we could explain how we found the body and the creature that ate him."

I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
"No-no, he meant that Hobgoblin upstairs, not the bugbear eaten by ... something. The one we all killed with help of Shaman? And he is afraid of another one here, his boss."
"Erky, tell them Balsag is dead. He was a bugbear and had 2 big rats and they are all dead. We can show them the dead rats and tell them Balsag fled from us and was killed by some other creature down a dark passageway. Tell them we retrieved our whip from his dead body."
Kaylyn says as she also turns Rhayna
"Rhayna, show them the whip the bugbear took and you now have back as proof of what we say. "
Rhayna calmly walks back to the group. “Excuse me, coming through.” When she’s by her companions, she shows her whip to the Goblins. “I got it back from the Bugbear.”

(Well it's been a long time, and goblinoid names aren't the easiest to remember right?)
Most of the goblins start chattering happily again even before Erky makes his final translation, as they appear to understand the party's discussion in Common, but Erky's summary confirms their joy of emancipation, and they push past the party, through the doorway into the mushroom room. There they see the dead rats, which seems evidence enough for them to celebrate even further, and they run to the hole with the vines, climbing up while chanting the code-phrase Erky passed on (which in Goblin sounds like Durbuluk luk-luk). Only the one goblin that originally objected seems continually cautious, doesn't drop his sword, and instead of joining the rest of the group, with a still-suspicious look at the party, he turns and walks toward the third door on the left.

Royan watches the single goblin heading toward the door. The lack of excitement eh t made him stand out from the rest. Royan takes a step toward him. “You are free! Does that not excite you? You can go and join the others.”
In case that particular goblin did not speak Common well enough, Erky translated. "I think we better go with him. In case he is about to warn someone we do not want to be warned." After careful consideration, Weasel followed the goblin.
The lone goblin half-turns and replies to Royan ..: More goblins. I tell them. You go back. ... before he continues walking towards the door, with Weasel following at a distance.

Kaylyn's impression is that the goblin is somewhat doubtful of the party's claims, and he is acting cautiously. It is difficult to predict what his intentions are, but he doesn't appear to be lying.

"Yes, let's follow him." Kaylyn answers as she moves to follow the goblins through the door. She'll go first if none of the others move to get in front of her.
I will add this here as Kaylyn and Erky at least have shown interest in promptly following. If anyone would like to take other actions, or explore further elsewhere, please indicate.
The shifty goblin says nothing further in reply, but slips through the door hurriedly. With Kaylyn and others not far behind, they enter a room used to store old goblin weapons in need of repair, and see five battered scimitars, six shortbows and several dozen arrows. They see the goblin has exited the room through a door in the northeast corner, has passed through another small, empty chamber, and taken a quick right-turn beyond the door.
As they follow, they enter a large long gallery, extending south. Nodules of luminescent fungus hang from the ceiling and walls and grow in clumps on the flagstone floor. The light illuminates portions of grand bas-relief carvings on the stone walls that aren't covered with the fungus. Soil and compost cover half the chamber's floor, which allows a variety of feeble plants to grow. A bench containing simple gardening implements stands along the west wall. The goblin is hurrying toward a door at the far southern end, and is currently about halfway down the length of the gallery (30-40 feet away). If he is aware of the pursuit, he does not show it.
For Rhayna:
Rhayna's investigation of the columned hallway was somewhat interrupted by the goblin encounter, but her impression is that although the dragon-carvings are similar to the previously-seen hallways in the level above, unlike those other chambers this was not used in cult rituals for lower-order cultists. This hallway was probably used as a central place of gathering and dining for the cult elite that resided in the adjoining chambers. Here while meeting they could bask in the glory of the dragons depicted. Each pair of columns again depicts a different hue of chromatic dragon, and shows them standing in glorious dominance over other races, including all manner of humanoids.
