Rhyana takes a step back, (if it doesn't cause a reaction attack from the Wraith), and will cast Toll the Dead on the undead creature. (WIS save 14. DMG: 3)

Kastix shouts in annoyance, "got nothing better," he casts fire bolt.

Kaylyn, now out of sight moves west, northwest into the entry passage of the room.  She is careful to stay away from Joetero.

When the wraith comes into view she sends a blast of eldritch energy at it.

With the memory of the attack from the specter still fresh, Rhayna attempts her signature twin-book-smash cantrip on the wraith, but in its desperation to feed it manages to mentally shrug off the attack. Kastix is a little rattled from the close call, and his signature flame cantrip flies wide and hits the ceiling harmlessly. The wraith reaches out again and this time a spectral hand latches on to Kastix's outstretched wrist, and the tiefling feels the vitality drain from him. Once again, the disembodied voice calls to all, heard only in the mind but seemingly originating from the chamber below: I can help you! In the sarcophagus!

Zeno takes another shot with his hand crossbow at the shadowy being.

Zeno wonders mentally, "If you're not the creepy shadow, what are you?"

Joetaro is going to hold his action. If the spectre comes near him, he will attack.

ROUND 2 cont...

Kastix grits his teeth at the pain of the wraith's touch, but even as the creature grips his hand Kastix extends his fingers and wreaths of flame shoot forth and surround the wraith. It lets go of the tiefling's arm and thrashes about in fear as it feels what vital force is has gradually leaching away. Another arcane bolt from Kaylyn narrowly misses the writhing wraith, but a more tangible bolt from Zeno's crossbow pierces the fading red eye, and with a sudden flash of red the wraith vanishes, leaving only the echo of a whispered scream.

Kaylyn drops her invisibility and mutters a bit about not helping much. 

"Ah well."

She then turns her attention to Joetero.

"I was going to do this earlier but the others opened the door too quickly.   Anyways, let's get you cleaned up.   This ought to work."

Kaylyn then starts casting Prestidigitation and cleaning him up. 

Kastix looks down the hole, "Were they buried with anything good? I really dont want to stay here longer than need!" 

"I think the right question is whether this the last chamber or not. Did not exactly had time to look around." Sekkar jumped back into the hole again, this time visible, and tried to get anything with the darkvision - who knows with that stuff, it might as well be better seen without light. He was trying to listen to the voice as well, though, not opening any sarcophaguses or anything at all - he personally had enough undeads about for today.

Rhayna follows Sekkar and studies the last chamber for any historical value. (History: 28)

(Drat, got so busy that I forgot something very important...)
(Oh well, too late now)

(Stuff it, I"m gonna pick it up from here...)

Kaylyn casts her cantrip and successfully removes all the goo from Joetaro's back, and although the smell lingers, the worst of the effects are removed. (No longer poisoned) But inexplicably, the process seems to have adversely affected Kaylyn, and she is filled with a sense of fear and apprehension toward Joetaro, and feels compelled to flee into the previous room.

Sekkar drops back into the hole and scans the darkness, but the room seems empty of anything interesting to the lizardman other than the sarcophagus. No words are heard, but everyone can continue to feel a telepathic sense of excitement and urgency originating from the sarcophagus. Finally Rhayna lowers herself down into the chamber, casting her light cantrip and illuminating the room. Sensitive to the light, Sekkar turns to look at Rhayna, and observes that she is a couple of inches taller than she was before.

The cleric notes that the walls are decorated with murals, painted using rich pigments and inlays of semiprecious stones, but these are purely artistic and provide little in the way of historical data. As she circumnavigates the room however, she stumbles over an invisible obstacle at the foot of the sarcophagus. 

"Thank you," Joetaro says as he follows Kaylyn into the next room. 

By the time Joetaro catches up with Kaylyn, the warlock has overcome her sudden and unexplained fear.

After cleaning up Joetero Kaylyn suddenly looks at him with apprehension.  "Uh, I'm going to wait out in the other room." She says nervously, eyeing him with suspicion.  "Let me know when the others are done."

She then quickly moves to the previous room while keeping an eye on Joetero.

"I have got to stop casting spells in this place, something is wrong." She mutters to herself as she leaves.

As Joetero follows her she yells at him "Don't follow me!  Leave me be!" and she shrinks back from him and gets ready to go up the stairs to keep away from him.

As Kaylyn reaches the stairway the fear of Joetero leaves her.  She rubs her eyes and looks at him blinking.

"I'm not sure what happened there.  I cleaned you up and was suddenly afraid of you, but it has passed now.  Something in this tomb affects my magic and strange things keep happening.  But I think I'm OK now.  Let's go check on the others."

She rejoins Joetero and goes to see what the others are doing.

 "Guys, can we hurry up with the tomb raiding before we become even more nutty!" Kastix shouts down into the hole.
