Kastix lets out a tried sigh before he moves toward Kaylyn and if he can reach her with regular movement, cast Cure Wounds to bloster up her hp. Dash if he can't make it this turn.
Cure Wound: 13
You mean Rhayna? Kaylyn is not currently in the room.
Zeno: Yes, that's right. If you reduce enemy to 0 HP with melee attack, can choose to knock them out instead. That's if no one else blasts him first. But he's touching the obelisk! What could happen? Will you risk it? Oh, the suspense!

ROUND 7 Rhayna 28: Toll the Dead (11) DC14 DEX save: 20 fail 9 necrotic Gorlak 19: (unconscious): death save: 18
Gorlak's sudden rush for the obelisk at Rhayna's expense seems to be startling enough for the ranged combatants to lose their aim, but at least a few quick healing spells restores Rhayna to consciousness. Zeno deftly traverses his own trap to chase Gorlak to the obelisk, stabbing him deeply in the back with his sword, and yet the oversized duergar manages to cling desperately to consciousness as he prepares to cast a spell. Kaylyn pops back into view just as suddenly as she vanished, although most except Pensive are too preoccupied to notice.
Still dazed from the mighty blow that fell her, Rhayna spots Gorlak through bleary eyes, raises her amulet, and two large ghostly books appear in the air on either side of Gorlak's head. Focussed on the spell that should effect his escape, he completely fails to notice them, and they slam together with a loud boom that echoes off the cavern walls, causing several crystals to dislodge from the ceiling and crash to the floor. The duergar finally can take no more, and he slumps to the ground - bleeding, burnt, bruised and bashed.
Congratulations all. You have all earned enough XP now to advance to Level 5.
Kaylyn wasn't sure exactly what happened when she seemingly transported to another plane of existance, or just had a really bad mushroom trip. But when she returned the palpable fear and panic that swept over her for a moment from Pensive nearly overwhelmed her. But a moment later those feelings were replaced by joy at her seemingly safe return. Looking around she sees that everyone appears to be up, though some of them are pretty beat up, but at least alive.
Gorlak, she sees, is down, breathing but unconscious and she is grateful for the reprieve so she can regain her bearings.
"Just how long was I gone? And was I gone gone, or just out of it gone? That was a trippy experience."
Zeno looks down at the bleeding, battered duergar sergeant at his feet, for a moment, then spins around. Seeing Rhayna rising, his shoulders slump, exhausted from the battle and relieved that she is alright, or at least alive.
He looks back at the duergar, "Someone want to help here? I think he might bleed out. I'd hate to lose him after all of this."
Pax pulls herself up to the top of the hill next to the others, untouched by the battle, glittering frost still coating her armor, and a black haze shimmering around her body. She looks around at the group, “Well done all of you. Very impressive.”
She walks up to Gorlack and pulls out some rope made of some sort of gut. She hog ties him securely and then uses a strip of fabric to gag him and cover his eyes.
Then she searches him and puts all of his gear to one side. She turns to Kaylyn, “You seemed gone gone. But only for maybe 10 seconds. What sort of trip, describe your experience.”

She then sits down and begins pressing a gem into the pommel of her sword, holding it there while quietly sitting on the ground and waiting for the conversation about how to proceed to move forward.
“My vote is we execute him for his crimes. I think we should also attempt to trigger this portal stone. I am curious where he was trying to escape to at the end.”
"Gone, gone, wow. It was quiet and gray, a lot of just plain nothingness. I just floated there and then I was back." Kaylyn replies. "Yes a rest would be helpful. Do you think we can rest safely in this cavern?"
Sekkar, too involved into battle, simply did not noticed Kaylyn's disappearance/reappearance and did not comment on it. He was standing above thoroughly swaddled Gorlak, admiring Pax's handiwork. "Good female," he nodded approvingly, "strong, crafty, not too bright. Very good." Sekkar looked a bit pale (in his case - not so bright green as usual) and bleeding, but was still standing. "We need that duergar alive. He is the one who knows everything about everything that happened here. We have to give him to the dragon or the priests. Would not go to the Stoneguards, though. If we are bringing the egg - we need to bring him too. Can someone heal him a little? So he can survive the trip?"
He finally sat down: "Would not mind just a little rest before moving, though."
"Anyone got an idea how we get back? I doubt we can force feed a mushroom to a Duergar," Kastix tosses out the question, "I think I got one or two spells left, not enough for more than one fight,"
(Do we get additional spells slots or need long rest for that?)

“Maybe can someone at least stabilize him?” Zeno will assist someone in trying to staunch the flow of blood from the multiple stab wounds.
“Kaylyn, I saw you for second, then gone, then back. I was so focused on Gorlak, I’m not sure how you disappeared. As for this portal...seems Just as likely it might go somewhere not-happy. Let’s rest.” He will search Gorlak for anything he might be carrying. He’ll also make a point to go down and grab a backpack from the Duergar camp area.
To Useless, he thinks, Can you tell if anyone else is coming? Are we safe for now?
As he settles down, sweeping the area around the egg free of his well-intentioned ball bearings, he starts ticking off what they know. “Ok, so the Duergar were in league with a shadow demon, and the derro which they may have been referring to as demon-worshipers. They had a red dragon egg, which likely has some connection to Themberchaud. They also have a dark portal obelisk, which seems to take you somewhere when you cast a spell on it. They were murdering Duergar in the city, and hoping that that would cover up their tracks until they could successfully accomplish their mission, which involved the demon worshipers turning the Cairngorm into monsters. Also, the derro are worshipping a fungus lady demon queen.
“The Stone guard captain believed there was corruption, which we have rooted out now. Themberchaud also didn’t trust his attendants, so maybe they’re connected somehow? Did I miss anything?“
As Zeno mentioned at the word “stabilize”, Rhayna remembered that she was a Cleric above all. She started to get up, and raised her hands. Before she was able to say a word, Kaylyn was already helping the Duergar, so she sat back down.
Then after Zeno started to go over all the evidences, she took out her Journal and started to record all that he was saying.
