So to answer your question, no, he did not. You are welcome to ask him questions. Hopefully you have better luck.” Rhayna replies to Pax.

In a rapid-fire three minute interrogation, with Kastix asking the question, Sekkar translating the question, Gorlak answering, and Sekkar translating the answer, and with Rhayna confirming the truth or otherwise, the following information is gleaned:
"Do you know about the new monsters of the underdark?" (truth) Demons have been easier to summon, and are encountered more often outside the city. Also some hunched dog-like humanoids - very savage. I know of no other new monsters, although ooze activity has increased, and the myconids are behaving strangely. "How far are Drow's territories from the city?" (truth) It is 27 days travel to Menzoberranzan. The drow have outposts throughout the Northdark, the closest of which is 3 days travel to the north. "Know any ways to the surface?" (unknown) No "Know any good spots for supplies?" (the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the honest-to-god truth) Yes. I maintain a cache within these caves. The Empty-Scabbard Killers are also well resourced, and supply us with our every need. There are several locations throughout the city to obtain supplies, but my people only enter the city for missions, not for shopping. I myself can move freely within the city, and shop regularly at the Blade Bazaar. "Do you have a permanent smile?" (truth) I do not understand 'smile'. "Have any bosses that will be upset we've had a little chat?" (unknown) No. "Got any treasure troves nearby?" (unknown) No. "Where would you like your corpse left?" (truth) I would like it returned to my brethren, the Empty-Scabbard Killers. "Any tips for trekking around the underdark?" (truth) Teleporting within faerzress is highly risky, I recommend avoiding it. Don't eat Nilhogg's Nose before entering a troglodyte den, and never pick timmask. Running water almost always flows toward the Darklake. "You think we should enlarge you when you become dragon food?" (truth) No, I think it would be less painful to be eaten while normal-sized.
Pax waits patiently while the whole exchange takes place, the almost nauseating exchange of information back and forth, back and forth.
Seemingly miles away from her playful cheerful mood she was in only three minutes ago, her face seems harsh once again, and she appears all business like.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Who supplies the empty-scabbard Killers? Where do they get their resources? What benefactor is behind the organization?" 10 (truth) We have people planted in every clan and guild - even on the Council of Lairds. We have many agents within the Darkhafts, and some in the Stone Guard, the Kavalrachni and the Xarrorn. Obtaining resources is a simple matter, and the clans themselves are our unwitting benefactors.
Others seemed to know what they were doing and Sekkar was satisfied with the role on translator but out of curiosity he still asked: "Where did you get the egg? What did you plan to do with the hatchling?"
As Rhayna focuses on the spell, she can sense Gorlak struggling against it, sometimes succeeding and sometimes not. However, even when her will overcomes his, she notices that he answers anyway, perhaps to sow doubt about which answers are true or false, or because he can't resist taunting the group.
Where did you get the egg? 12 (unknown) I laid it What did you plan to do with the hatchling? 15 (truth) We had no immediate plans to hatch it, only to retain it. What’s your relationship with the demon worshipping derro? 22 (unknown) We found them useful to our plans Why were the Empty-Scabbards killing people in the city? 4 (truth) We assassinated selected underworld operators so that our activities would not be discovered by accident. Were you hired by someone? 6 (a little too much truth) No, the Empty-Scabbard Killers have their own motives, as they have done for centuries. Long we have watched and waited, placing ourselves throughout the echelons of society. Now our plans are hatching, and that which comes forth will shake the kingdom, and gain us control over the throne. Was anyone in the city suspicious of your activities? 11 (unknown) Of course not. We are well-practiced at secrecy. You were the first to witness any of our number in hundreds of years. Where did you learn to summon a demon? 8 (unknown) From my master Why were you trying to turn the Cairngorm into monsters? 6 (truth) They are allies of the Deepking. Their destruction will loosen his power among the clans considerably.
Rhayna feels (and warns) that the spell probably has less than two minutes left, and there is time left for only about a half dozen questions.
Pax raises an eyebrow at a few answers, but cool and calm asks, "Where specifically do we take your corpse once we kill you? Where do we take it so that it may be returned to the empty-scabbard killers?"
