Before leaving Kaylyn casts Prestidigitation and create an instantaneous, harmless sensory effect.  That effect is the sound of the occasional scuffing of boots and makes it at the end of the hallway before you turn to see the archery targets.  "That should keep them thinking someone is still there.  Let's get moving, all of us.  We stay together." She says.

"No wait in the nine hells I'm staying alone in this place," Kastix stated, "I'm many things, durable is not one," 

Following Meepo, the party quickly retreats the way they came. The magical sound of scuffling feet in the corridor behind makes it hard to tell whether or not you are being followed. Climbing back over the small wall, running easily through the caltrops room (through the gap created by those who collected some), back through the 'fire fountain' room, and back into the corridor heading toward Meepo's dragon cage room. The two kobold guards stationed there are alert with bows drawn, but hold their fire as Meepo is the first to round the corner. Meepo barks a short warning in Draconic as he runs past, presumably to warn them of possible pursuers, and continues through to the main hall. Two more guards stop him before a door on the north wall at the eastern end of the long dragon hall, and Yusdrayl approaches. They converse quickly in Draconic, with Yusdrayl looking concerned. Finally she turns to the rest of the party and speaks:

Meepo informs me that you are attempting to counter-attack a goblin ambush. Your plan is not without significant risk, and for the sake of my people's safety I cannot afford to commit any warriors to this attack. We must remain here to guard against retaliation should you fail. But as you have committed to rescue our beloved Calcryx, we will allow you to pass this way.

She nods to the guards who unlock the door, which opens into a short, empty corridor. One of them enters the room and runs to the far end to unlock another door, while the other instructs you to walk only in the very center of the room. As you cross the room, you notice that the entire floor is a well-concealed pit trap covered by a false floor with a slim catwalk through the center on which you walk, but you manage to traverse the room without incident. With a nod from the guards, you pass through the second door into another short corridor, this one L-shaped. The doors are closed behind you and you hear them being locked once again.

"Alright, so I guess we go this way. Meepo, anything I should know about this door?"Royan takes a moment to check it while he waits for Meepo to answer. He looks for locks, makes sure it is sitting as expected and listens for any noises.

Perception:  10

"You think I could hold them off where taking this long of a route? You really want to kill me huh?" Kastix asked turning to Meepo and staring daggers. 

As they approach the door, Meepo lets the rest of the party go in front, hiding behind them.

"Sometimes goblins behind door. Meepo think not now, they gone shooting arrows. But be careful!"

@Royan. You don't hear anything behind the door or see anything that would suggest a trap.

"Alright. Let's go." Royan carefully opens up the door and steps through, shield and longsword at the ready.

Ireniana nods and draws her swords. "I am ready."

"I'll be just a few steps behind you as always," Kastix speaks. 

Royan steps into the room, closely followed by his companions. The stench, garbage, and carrion in this room are evidence of years of use by unsanitary tenants. Tattered hides stretched on frames form six unstable hammocks around a much-used firepit. Battered cooking equipment is mixed indiscriminately with broken or worn arms and armor.

Scattered around the room are lumps of putrid half-eaten jerky, and vinegary wine in poorly preserved water skins, two of which are open and leaking on to the floor, evidence that the occupants recently left in a hurry. An adjoining door on the northern wall is wide open, giving access to the room beyond...

...which appears to be another long hallway, lined with a double row of marble columns carved with entwining dragons, apparently identical to the kobolds' audience chamber. No movement can be detected in the hall, but several torches mounted in crude sconces burn fitfully around this chamber, filling the air with a haze. The low mutter of goblin voices echoes through the haze, apparently coming from the end of the hall or just beyond... 

The torches provide bright light in the hallway. The smoke is not enough to be suffocating, but enough that anyone in the hall will be lightly obscured.

“Huuuuu.... Are those the same columns....” Rhayna starts to take out her Journal. She zones everything out by the prospect of recording more ancient artifacts.

"You think whoever was there left to arrow range," Kastix state more than asks.

(Intelligence Save DC10: 8) Rhayna is enthralled by the hallway, but she realizes that this is not exactly the time for exploration. Her companions may need her help with the Goblins. Though, the hallway's calling is difficult to resist...

"So let's take this door on the west and bypass all the baddies.  It sounds like they all congregated to the east waiting for us."

Kaylyn says, hopeful to avoid a fight.

Rhayna successfully avoids becomes too engrossed in her archaeology, and has the sense to break it off when prudent ... depending on what happens next.

As the group walks through the hallway, Meepo comes to a sudden stop. He sniffs the air twice, then scrambles over to the third door on the left as fast as his little scaly legs can carry him.

"Calcryx! Calcryx, Meepo is here! Meepo is coming!"

He pushes and pulls the door, yanking it back and forth, but it doesn't budge.

"This guy is going to get us killed," Kastix moved so he's off the side of the door that Meepo is trying to open and just wait there.

Royan grabs Meepo firmly by the shoulders and pulls him away from the door. “We deal with those goblins first, then we get Calcryx. We go in their now and those Goblins get sick of waiting and come in behind us.”
