Pax stands in the crumbled down ruins of the great Drow city as her allies descend the rope behind her, emerging from a ripple in space one after another. The hero's descend the wiry underdark strand made of some type of tendon and thud to the ground. Flames and smoke rise from dozens of patches across the crumbled ruins that minutes before had been a vast city. The tangled remains of dark skinned elves lay interspersed with demonic bodies and blobs of mold infested slime, and throughout it all the crumbled rubble of an ancient, yet evil, place. Pax scans the tremendous result of the demonic summoning, the wreckage, ruin, and death. The scene had been the most horrific of her life. It would haunt her until she died. Though, looking across the desolation at the monstrous lord of demons awaiting them, it may be a short haunting.
The black mists swirl unnaturally about her, sparkling with cold, while her eyes had an unearthly nimbus to them. Sekkar stepped up beside her. The lizard warrior seemed to be grinning, though it could have easily been a grimace. Either way, it's anticipation was palpable, added to that was the humming from magical blade that awaited destiny. Her options for her first attack rippled through her mind as she tried to figure out how she'd do as much killing damage to this thing before it took her down. But her mind was interrupted by the words of Rhayna from behind her. "What's the plan?"
A simple question. An obvious question really. And yet coming from the one person who'd been as mercurial and quick to act without a moments thought...for as long as she'd known her. Rhayna had always been the first to walk into a dark hole, vanish through a mushroom, or grab any random thing from the most evil of wizards collections. She'd been the one of them Pax had struggled to understand the most. The least inclined to order. What's the plan! What's the plan? What's the plan.
She turned to Sekkar beside her, and through the murky mist and the partial visor of her helm Sekkar and her eyes met, and she grinned....which abruptly became a laugh, one full of unabashed joy. The laugh cuts through the horror before them, a schism between two realities, horror and joy. "Rhayna? My dear. Let's do what we do best. Let's go over there and kill the thing in the most unconventional way we can think of. Maybe we kill it with kindness. But more likely, lots of chopping and blasting." She grins back at the others...and then says, "Those inclined to get closer, come together, stay close. Trust me. Right before it hits us I aim to teleport us so that we're surrounding it on all sides."
Taking a short lead Pax glances back to make sure she's being followed, by Sekkar at least and then charges the lord of demons, a smile still stretched across her face as she gathers her magical energy and prepares to unleash it.
As whichever group members decide to charge, Pax keeps within 30 feet as she rushes forward. She has a Scatter held, and plans to unleash it the moment the creature tries to attack, damage, harm or influence any of them....trying to send each person to a different area surrounding the demon, as well as she can, or at least well and good spread out before it.

We will say Demogorgon is currently 150 feet away from the party (so no need for a map just yet) and surrounded by rubble but of sufficient size to provide characters with half cover if desired. Anyone can use ranged attacks while Pax and Sekkar charge into melee, but the first combat round will still begin at 150 feet.
When you're ready, let's have some initiative rolls!! No-one is trying too hard to hide, so there is no surprise round.

Kaylyn looked at Jimjar grimly. "Five gold eh? I'll see that bet. Everything we have done, all the pain, sorrow, and destruction has come to this.. to rid the material plane of the threat."
Seeing as the Demogorgon is currently 150 feet away Kaylyn stays up where she is at. The Tier Breche gave a good vantage point of the ensuing battle. She stepped back 30 feet away from Kirin and the Demogorgon so she is 150 feet away.
Flame-like shadows wreathe her body as she casts Shadow of Moil in preparation for combat, causing her to become heavily obscured to others. The shadows turn dim light within 10 feet of her into darkness, and bright light in the same area to dim light.
Initiative 20
Then she fires an opening volley as three beams of crackling energy streak toward the Demogorgon
Attack: 23 Damage: 14 + 4 to attack roll Force damage
Attack: 20 Damage: 13 + 8 to attack roll Force damage
Attack: 28 Damage: 8 + 6 to attack roll Force damage
And yes, Scatter can fire as a reaction. After Rhayna's turn (if Demogorgon is still on the field) then he will probably advance threateningly, and Pax can teleport anyone who is willing to the desired locations.
On the way down from the rope, Rhayna has a hopeless feeling, but a kernel of idea starts to form. With Pax’s pep talk she regains some of her confidence. Then she hears Kirin’s request for a healer to be on stand by, and she knows what she must do in order to be useful in what will be most likely the most important battle in her life. She concentrates briefly and summons a Couatl.

Rhayna: Yes there are surviving drow, but they are all either too frightened or confused or injured to be of much assistance. Do you have something in mind?
Couatl initiative: 12
Perhaps Rhayna's question about the plan was merely rhetorical, but the impulsive cleric is once again the first to act. With trembling breath she clasps her hands, utters her prayer to Selune, then casts her arms outward and conjures for a majestic being - a slender feathered serpent. The mystical sound of beating drums seems to fill the air as the couatl twirls, rising higher with graceful speed, and glowing softly as if with the light of the full moon. As it reaches the height of its spin, it released a cry like that of a hunting hawk, which bounces off the walls and ceiling of the cavern.
Rhayna, where would you like the couatl to appear?
If the sight of the advancing force, with their glowing swords and defensive darkness, wasn't enough to attract the demon lord's attention, then the flying serpent certainly is. With a menacing snarl of hunger issuing from one mouth and an echoing bellow of rage from the other, Demogorgon turns and shambles his hunched body toward the approaching adventurers...
Demogorgon moves 50 feet closer to the group. His eyes burn as with a fiendish fire, and his tentacles rake the ground, sending rubble flying... Does Pax respond?
Pax unleashes her Scatter. Herself and Sekkar both appear behind the Demogorgon, 30 feet apart and a few dozen feet back from is path. Rhayna shifts 40 feet to her left. If it looks like either Kaylyn or Kirin might get struck by rubble, then she'll both of them to one side as well. (Without a map, choosing locations is a little awkward, but she tries to give them good sight lines, keep them separate, and hopefully save them from any spray of rubble sent at them by the demon.)
