"There was also a door of the archery range, but that probably leads to a storage area for their training equipment." Royan waits by the door and talks to Kastix about there options. "As much as I don't want to waste any time, I think I am going to need to stop for a rest before we carry on. At least to be able to pull myself together a bit and refocus. This sounds like a dangerous area we are going to and we need to be ready. Maybe we set up camp in the entrance hall again."

We don't want them to think we are just out taking whatever we can dig up around here. They might get a bit anxious."

"Fortunately, the dragon was kept in another room," commented Erky, "and I would rather not give away the journal. Highly doubt those kobolds are well versed in history, or reading to begin with." When rare books were involved, quiet gentle priest could be surprisingly stubborn.

Rhayna agrees with Erky regarding the journal.

"I am interested in seeing what is behind the door that appeared to need the ability to rebuke the undead to open.  That was by the fountain that we got the fire breath potions.  Rhayna, any chance your god has favored you with such power?  A short period of rest would be nice as well as I would like to examine this rod further."  Kaylyn says.

“I can try casting Identify on the door...” Rhayna replies to Kaylyn.

"I believe that you must speak the words that turn the undead.  The door said Rebuke the dead, open the way.  I believe turning the undead would do it.  I had hoped since we all seem stronger that perhaps your god had bestowed this power up on you."  she answers.

"Yes, but of course. I can certainly do that!!" Exclaims Rhayna. "So, perhaps we should go back that way?"

"Can you rebuke the dead now?" Kastix asked the Clerics.

((By my recollection, I saw Royan and Kastix cross the pit and were talking in the next room, with the statues. The others must have come across to join us. Not near the fountains yet, just talking about them.))

((Lol, as I read it back, I realised this could be misread. We are standing in the room with the statues, not talking to the statues :P ))

For the sake of clarity, let's say you are now in the round room near the entrance to the citadel. Somewhere between the troll coffin room and here you spent some time identifying the items, and now you are deciding whether to rest or continue immediately, and whether to go through the kobold hall and up that way, or just east at the cage room and check out the 'rebuke the dead' door.

It sounds like you are all agreed to try the 'dead' door. Question now is whether to wait an hour to attune to new items or continue. Although items have been credited to inventories, technically you don't get the benefits until you are attuned.

Also: did anyone officially claim the dagger?

"You know, I could really use a rest, if you all don't mind." Royan takes out his waterskin and has a drink before looking for his something to bind his wounds.

"Allow me," Erky felt ashamed he let his comrade suffer while he was enjoin knowledge hunting. He touched Royans's shoulder, closed his eye and begged Oghma for forgiveness:

"Yes, a rest."  Kaylyn says.

She leans against the wall and holds the rod in her hands and studies any markings on it.  Over time she feels she understands the use of the rod.
