Round 3 (Still nothing from Ireniana after 5 days, so I'll bot. Hope all is well.)
Kaylyn (24): Hex Durnn (DEX). Eldritch Blast MISS Royan (20): Javelin v Goblin5: HIT DEAD Ireniana (18): Shortsword+1 v Twig1: Attack: 17 Damage: 9 HIT DEAD Shortsword v Durnn: Attack: 10 Damage: 7 MISS Rhayna (11): No action

Abandoning her curse on the shaman, Kaylyn instead curses the mighty hobgoblin chief, who momentarily shivers with dread, but manages to again raise his shield to block her follow-up spell. With several sleeping goblins around him, Royan casts his javelin at the next goblin attempting to enter the room, who takes it right through the chest and falls back through the doorway with a gurgle. More goblins are amassing, but they seem less combat-ready than the first few that appeared, wielding only clubs and small daggers, and wearing no armour.
Ireniana can't resist the urge to favour attacking the twig blight over the chief, and she easily dispatches it with her delightfully responsive new sword, cleaving it in half like a piece of kindling wood. As the pieces fall to the floor she feels a strange sense of satisfaction at vanquishing the creature that dared to harm her. Her mind then again registers the chief before her, and she attempts to strike a fresh blow at him, but her old sword again feels reluctant to fight, and the chief again blocks with his shield.
As Rhayna lays in a pool of blood, struggling for breath, a booming voice is suddenly heard from the vicinity of the throne, with sufficient force that every soul feels it reverberate through their very bones. The words are decipherable only to those who understand the language of the goblins...
TURN, MY CHILDREN! TURN NOW AGAINST YOUR OPPRESSORS!
At this apparent signal, the goblin fighting Royan tumbles backward in a quick somersault, and charges at the hobgoblin archer! Surprised at this change in the battle, the archer tries to fire it's prepared arrow in reply, but can't manage to aim at the small foe before it, and the arrow clatters off the floor. The other goblins with clubs and daggers also abandon their fix on Royan and likewise charge toward the archer.
The great chief hobgoblin falters in his measured attacks on Ireniana as he hears the call and witnesses its effect. His concentration broken, he manages only to avoid Ireniana's blows, but fails to avoid the pillar of flame called down by Erky. The remaining twig monster beside him attempts one more futile slash at Ireniana's leg before suddenly dropping motionless to the ground. With a growl of frustration, the chief turns back to Ireniana, determined to dispatch the hated elf and regain control despite the turn in the battle.
ROUND 4 actions please. Everyone is still conscious, although some are seriously injured.
The hobgoblin archer is under attack from 5 goblins. The twig beside Ireniana is asleep, but the chief is still fighting fit. Some motion can be detected from behind the throne, including the glimpse of some ragged robes and the occasional feather poking out.
Erky did understand and fresh involuntarily practise in the goblin language helped as well, so he yelled from the top of his lungs: "Do not kill goblins!!! They are attacking Chief!!!" Hoping, it was informative enough, he added his flame to the mix of attack at the Chief Hobgoblin. Sacred Flame1 (DC12)
Kastix just shakes his head in confusion and after Erky's shout just shrugs before sending a Fire Bolt at Twig#2. As a bonus action, he'll use font of magic to convert two sorcerey points into a level 1 spell slot.

Kaylyn sees the goblins change their focus of attack and hearing Erky seems to confirm it to her. She continues to hold the hex on the hobgoblin chief as she sends another bolt at it.
Eldritch Blast Attack: 27 Damage: 6 + 3
As a BA she focus her thoughts on Irieniana and heals her (Healing Light) for 4 health.
Royan is confused by the sudden shift in focus by the goblins Clearly, they felt some type of resentment toward the hobgoblins, but he was unsure who they would react once their new target was down. Would they then turn on the group as invaders, or thank them for the opportunity to rise up? As he quickly scans the group, Royan notices that Ireniana and Rhayna look injured. Quickly, he moves to stand beside Rhyana, sword in hand, and readies an attackagainst anyone that threatens either himself or the cleric.
Round 4 - this hobgoblin chief ain't gonna go down easily. He's one solid unit.
Kaylyn (24): Hex (c) Durnn. Healing Light v Ireniana (6hp). Eldritch Blast v Durnn: MISS Royan (20): Move, Ready Ireniana (18): 3x SSw v Durnn. MISS x3 :( the honeymoon is over Rhayna (11): Whip v Hob2. HIT DEAD

Oops, forgot Bane on Durnn. 4. OK, make that a miss.
With the goblins apparently no longer interested in him, Royan returns to the eastern door and stands guard over the bleeding Rhayna. Also beside them is Kaylyn, sweating under the exertion of her spellcasting - holding a curse on the chief, sending celestial healing to Ireniana, and continuing to fire arcane energy at the chief, who again blocks it with his incredible shield. Royan watches as even the deft Ireniana struggles in vain to land a blow on the mighty foe, but can't help but admire the skill of the virtuoso warrior.
Suddenly, Rhayna's eyes snap open, and she leaps up, grasping at her side for her whip. She strides over to the northern lip of the central shaft, seemingly oblivious to the mighty duel between Ireniana and the hobgoblin chief right beside her. Striking out with vengeance at the archer, her whip tangles around his neck. The hobgoblin merely snarls at her, raising his bow to finish her off, but with a deft tug of the whip, Rhayna causes him to stumble forward slightly. His feet catch on the huge chest he was standing behind, and unable to prevent himself from falling, he tumbles down into the shaft with a strangled cry, yanking the whip from Rhayna's hands.
Seeing another of the hobgoblins fall (literally this time), the remaining goblins charge up beside Rhayna and join the battle against their chief. Their pathetic untrained swings infuriate the huge hobgoblin, but do no other harm as he effortlessly kicks them aside. All his attention is focused on the elf, but as he fights on, he suddenly shudders as if overcome with horror. His subsequent swing at Ireniana is not as masterful as his previous ones, and Ireniana blocks his sword aside. At the same time, a withered hand clutching the feathered staff can be seen withdrawing again behind the throne.
Erky and Kastix continue to hang back safely in the doorway, doing their best to support their struggling friends. Erky continues to pray for aid from above, and gives a little fist pump as he sees the chief irritated further by another heavenly beam of light. Kastix, recognising the advantage the chief was gaining from even the smallest allies, leaves the safety of the doorway to stand beside the twig monster and burn it to ashes with his conjured fire.
Round 4 done. The hobgoblin chief is the only opponent remaining, and he looks only mildly wounded, and still confident of taking down the whole lot of you - but mostly Ireniana. The shaman is still mostly out of sight. It's getting quite crowded around him though.
Bear v Durnn: Claws: Attack: 11 Damage: 4 Bite: Attack: 8 Damage: 4 MISS x2

So instead I'll say he attacked, then backed off for some reason... Now he is in the space between Erky and Kastix)
Seeing that the tide of battle had clearly turned, Royan put all his attention on the chieftain. First he pushes Kastix towards the door, as much for Kastix safety as to clear a path. He then moves in to attack the hobgoblin. With his longsword. Attack: 21 Damage: 7

With his three soldiers down and his underlings turning against him, the hobgoblin chief is under unexpected pressure. Unwilling to relinquish his authority, his pride compels him to press on, convincing him he can slay the elf and capture the invaders. But his battle reflexes are noticeably diminished since his recent mild seizure, and he is late to raise his shield against Kaylyn's latest blast of magic, taking it full in the face with an angry scream as his skin blisters and burns.
Ireniana is tiring from the extended duel, and is unable to penetrate the chief's armour with her sword thrusts. Royan slides in beside Kastix, trampling the ashes of the twig monster, and swings a low sweep under the chief's late-raised shield, which bites deeply into the back of his right leg just below the protection of the chain shirt. On the hobgoblin's other side the scimitar-wielding goblin - the very same that was clawed awake by Erky's bear - takes advantage of his chief's pain to slash across the hamstrings of the hobgoblin's left leg, and he drops to a kneel with another frustrated cry. (The other goblins refrained from their attack, cowed and momentarily daunted by the fury of the dark-haired cleric beside them, who was busy calling down divine vengeance against the fallen archer).
The goblin shaman finally emerges from behind the throne, pushes through the goblin throng, and thrusts out her withered hand. A green plume of putrid mist emits from her palm and envelops the chief's face, but he grits his teeth and shakes his head to clear the fumes, struggling to rise once more and fight on.
Finally, Erky calls yet another beam of heavenly light down on the chief. Unable to elude it from his awkward half-kneeling position, he is enveloped in the fiery pillar, and with a final yell of anger mixed with disbelief, he slumps to the floor. The remaining goblins swarm over his prone form, beating his unconscious body with their clubs until a word of command from the shaman forces them to withdraw.
At a signal from the shaman the goblins prostrate themselves before the intruders. The shaman herself bows lows and calls out in broken Common: Please, stay your hand. We submit to you.
