Badger Initiative: 22
Badger's eyes pop out of his head (figuratively) when he sees the monster burst out of the water. He gets a feeling of deja vu from the time fighting the T-Rex so long ago, and as if reliving the moment, he casts the Slow on the monster.
DC 15 WIS save. Use Portent roll of 6 on Froghemoth's first saving throw, and the roll of 8 for his next one (at the end of its turn)
The creature is still in the center of the pond, 20 feet from the edge, just it's long tentacles were reaching out to wack people. Mal manages to plant her feet on the ground and grab onto a rock, as the tongue tries to pull her into the waiting maw of the creature. The tongue's sticky fleshy surface slowly pulls off of her and zips back into the things mouth. Her rapier lashes out and slashes one of the tentacles as she moves away. The shadow wolf leaps to the edge of the water, but can't get closer without submerging itself....as its shadowy form growls and yelps. A fiery blast from Mandra bounces off the things head, leaving a sizzling mark, as magical energy from Badger makes the thing suddenly slow.
Seeing it's prey run away, and having fire thrown at it, and feeling strangely slowed, is enough to make it slowly sink back into the water, vanishing beneath the surface, pond scum moving in waves as the turbulent water bubbles from sudden submerging creatures.
Everyone else's turn. The creature is now under the water.

Sickle eyes the water with a ball of fire in hand, waiting for the creature to reappear. If it doesn’t after a round, he suggests, “We could Lightning Bolt it....or go around.”
"I can use the bolt in this thing," Silas points to the floating Ioun Stone around his head.

"Well these are ruins, I wonder if there is a hole we can use to get inside from the back or even the roof. Why don;t we check all the sides of the building to see what we see and then we can deal with froggy over there if we have to." Mal says.
The group can easily walk out of the shrine property on either side, through some collapsed walls, clear around the pool, and around to the building on the far side. You reach the shrine building. It seems to be solid on all sides, much like the last shrine. The roof as well is solid, built of large slabs of stone. The two huge stone doors have words carved into the top of them. Orvex translates them to the group, still glancing back at the pool behind you. "Kubazan urges us to tread without fear and to give back as much as we take." There's a fancy looking keyhole in the doors which appear to be locked.
As you stand there, 15 feet from the edge of the pool, but at least forty feet from where the creature had emerged. Sickle, looking back, you spot an eye stalk bob out of the water and look around. It's near the far side of the pool amidst some tall water grass.
Boris positions him between the group and the water with an axe out, keeping an eye out and protecting the group while they examine the doors.

Sickle points out the eye stalk coming out of the water. Listening to Orvex, he muses, “Perhaps the key is in the water....and we need to trade it something?”
Badger looks at the pond, rubs his nose furiously, and says, Urgh, I'm not going to tread in there, certainly not without fear. I might teleport in, but perhaps it would be safer is Mandra could fly over?

Sickle looks in his belongings and pulls out a small box made of interlocking velociraptor skulls. Checking to make sure it’s empty, it’s contents safely tucked elsewhere, he says, “Badger, can you have your hand thing carry this to the edge? Maybe it will take it as an offering?”
