No time for an action while falling, just a reaction. With the feather fall spell active, Sickle is able to avoid the spikes by moving his body, and takes no damage, gently floating to the ground pressed between several spikes.
You all look up, Silas attempts a spell on the creature. You think you hear him mutter, "Not again...." as a grotesque, bulbous creature borne along on three sturdy legs, its eyes and nose set along a vine-like stalk that snakes from the top of its bloated body, and with two rubbery tentacles ending in spiky, leaf-like appendages slams into him.

Grenk free falls a moments and sees he's rushing towards the ground and spikes. He curls himself inward, like a rock, and instictually flexes all his muscles upon impact.

I think that means he crushes through and breaks the spike?
Startled by the fall, shocked by the piercing spikes, stunned from the sickening poison, shaken by the sight of Boris' dead body, and surprised by the creature's sudden and horrid appearance, Badger raises his only non-impaled limb and releases as much of his remaining magic as he can muster in a blast of energy at the creature.
Chromatic Orb at 4th level, using Portent 17 as attack roll: Attack: 23 Damage: 25 poison damage
(OOC: If no-one objects, Badger will take the Bracers of Defense as he is the only one that doesn't wear armor)

Grenk uncurls from the cannon ball form he made as he smashed through the the wooden spike and brushes some splinters off of himself. He looks up and sees a new foe and sighs and then smiles. "Well, I guess it's time to test the new sword..." he mutters more to himself than to the others. "Cover me," he yells as he rushes forward with sword and shield in hand. He lightly cuts his arm to draw forth his blood magic.
With a growl he calls out, "Burn you unholy beast." He then slashes at the creature twice.
Bonus action: Cast Rite of Dawn on the sword to deal +1d6 radiant damage +2d6 if the creature is undead. Rite damage to self: 2

Silas, you're falling. Once again. Looking up at the stupid, bulbous face of the ugly creature covered in rotting flesh. Bested you twice. Well, you'll get yours one day you ugly beast.....you are thinking this when a womans hand reaches out, gripping your wrist hard, and swinging you to the side. You swing, your legs just scraping over some spikes as you hit the side wall heavily, and then slide down, just next to the nest of spikes, then land with a heavy thud. (4 damage).
Grenk, you draw your blade, but...looking around, see the nest of spikes between you and the edge of the pit, and second, the creature is 20 feet up at the original height of the floor, so it's out of your reach, you'll need to pick your way through the spikes and then try to clamber out of the pit before you can fight the beast with your new flame sheathed sword.
A green vapourous ball flies over your head and smashes across the creature that stomps about in pain from the poison that splashes across itself. It turns and flees, attempting to go back down the passage.
Sickle?

Sickle hesitates, glancing about at his companions, worried for their health, mostly worried for Boris. He decides quickly, throwing a Produce Flame at the fleeing creature. Attack: 22 Damage: 4
Then he casts [spell]Healing Word[spell] on Boris, hoping to revive him. 5
The flame strikes the rear of the creature as it flees away down the dark hallway.
Sickle casts healing word. Boris does not stir. Badger extricates himself from the deadly spikes, and moves over to Boris, his eyes open and gazing up at the ceiling...lifeless several hideous spikes piercing his body.
Mal hangs by a rope tied about the handle, while Silas picks himself up off the ground. Grenk, itching for a fight after such a disastrous entry into the tomb glares about, wishing he had something to strike with his flaming sword.
Sickle looks down at the amulet that just saved him a world of hurt...and sees the magic is now gone from the woodland charm.
Both doorways stand open, the one behind you risen into the ceiling, the one before you having sunk into the floor. Your view from the bottom of the 20 feet deep pit is less than ideal however.
You hear faint clicking and "wooshing" sounds from down the hallway where the creature ran.
Attack: 11 Damage: 2
Attack: 10 Damage: 1
Attack: 24 Damage: 3
Attack: 19 Damage: 1
Followed by a heavy thud. Then it's quiet. Everyone glances at Silas, who is covered in grime, bits of flesh, and looks like he's been beaten to within an inch of his life, with two black eyes and dried blood down his face. It's only been an hour...what the heck is this place you wonder. You notice a small lizard scurrying along the side of the wall from the hallway Silas emerged from, headed towards the exit. It looks like it may be smiling, as much as a lizard can smile.
Badger closes Boris's eyes, and checks to see if he was carrying any vital equipment, before picking his way back through the spikes toward the inner doorway and preparing to climb out. So it seems the curse of Sir Darak's family is finally complete, with the last of that line taken in gruesome fashion. Badger casts his mind back, certain that he prophesied of this, but his powers of recall seem to have forsaken him due to the day's traumas and the built up exhaustion. (And the fact I'm on my phone in a cafe and not at my laptop).

Is thee any spot along the wall that Mal can get to without then falling into the pit? Somewhere he can more securely fasten a rope to help the others climb out and then I guess continue down into the belly of the beast?
(OOC: Mal.... he? I'm tempted to have her stumble into a sex change trap just to make your life easier...)
Mal reaches up to the ledge, pulling herself up into the hallway where Silas had come from, and where the beast had run down. She peers into the dark passage. About fifteen feet into the gloom she can make out the unmoving heap that looks like the monster. It's not moving. She finds a very healthy root growing just inside the passage, and moves the rope from the slanted down lever, to the root, letting it down into the pit.
Grenk, Badger, Silas, and Sickle climb up out of the pit. Absent of both Boris and Mandra, whom they just so recently managed to find. Grenk, Sickle and Badger can all see down the dark passageway, while Silas and Mal see only inky darkness beyond a dozen feet. A moss-covered corridor extends beyond the second door. Tree roots hang from the sagging ceiling, and the air reeks of rot and damp. Ahead, a bas-relief carving of a bearded devil's face adorns the wall at a T-shaped intersection. The devil's open mouth is a well of utter darkness. The three legged monstrosity lays in the hallway dead. Its eye stalk lays unmoving on the ground and the creature is burned, coated in layer of magical poison, and has several inch long darts sticking out of its body. It smells hideously from here, covered in chunks of human remains.
