The look Mal gives Badger is not one of agreement, then a light seems to shine behind her eyes. "I think I might understand what you are getting at." Mal will then approach the door and see if her shadow appears. If it does appear she will make the motions of walking over to the Font and mimicking reaching her hand into it to grab the crystal. Then she will mimic pulling it out of the font and then dropping it on the ground.
Mal walks over, but nothing happens. She tries closing the door and opening it, and indeed, on the far side of the room, she sees an person that looks like her....or at least her back. She steps forward, but it steps forward, so she backs away into the hall until the person reaches the font. Then she makes a motion as if she were dipping her hand in to find the stone. The thing stops imitating her and instead reaches in, with a cup suddenly in its hand, and scoops out some soup.....raising it to its mouth, though you can't see cause it's facing away, and apparently drinks some soup. Then it stops moving once more.
Mal does this again. The thing drinks more soup, and the amount of soup begins to drop away. Soon the thing has consumed all the soup. The creature vanishes, and a crystal eyeball appears in the bottom of the bowl. Badger's mage hand fetches it and now the font is once again empty.

"No need to fret Grenk, I had not a clue till Badger's muttering got my attention and then it clicked. I was extremely nervous when the shadow starting drinking the stuff as I was sure I would be dying shortly, but it all worked out." Mal says as she clasps Grenk on the shoulder.
Now where? There is a big block of stone blocking the only real way forward. But it does have a button on it. Otherwise it seems you need to head back the way you came.

"With that stone, you want me to try and move it? Or if you really want to know what's on the other side, I could tell you but if there isn't a release on that side, I'd be stuck over there." Grenk says.
Badger shudders when he glimpses the spectral form of Mal inside the room. He averts his eyes at first but eventually builds up the courage to watch, as long as he doesn't see the face. Of course he also privately observes that his prediction that "Mal would be next" has been fulfilled...
Regarding the door, the button seems a bit too obvious, but Badger is having trouble concentrating enough to think about what it might mean, and what kind of traps a diabolical mind like Acererak might create...
Short rest then? Badger could do with regaining some Hit Dice.
While resting, Badger goes over in his mind what they have seen on this level so far, laying the crystals out in front of him: one from the statue behind the illusion, one from the dead body in the tunnel, and one from the font. (Did I miss any?)
Badger also takes a moment to perform a quick augury, and pulls out his bag of bones. Casting them to the floor, he ponders their arrangement for a moment until he suddenly gasps in surprise. The bones lay in the same arrangement as they did way back in the furniture shop in Waterdeep. The five-pointed star, the maiden and the Alpha rune. Of course he didn't know it at the time, but now he realises that the A rune stands for Acererak, the architect of this whole catastrophe. The five-pointed star might refer to the five layers of the dungeon. The maiden... unclear. He would have to think on this.

Taking the hour to study the back of his eyelids, Badger stands up feeling recovered from his fright. Glancing over at the erratic-minded human, Badger decides to attempt rudimentary communication again. With his frog perched ridiculously on his head, Badger points to himself and says: Badger. Bad-ger. Then pointing to each of his companions in turn, he repeats their names. Finally Badger points to the human in the same way and then raises his bushy white eyebrows questioningly...
Silas shares his crystal eye with Badger and the group.
The man looks at Badger as he points at everyone and says their names. Finally he motions to the man. He points to himself, "Yaks bore mal cantika sundor. Shay ussa layfor ...RAMSEK."

Mal will sit where she stands for the hour rest with her eyes closed and then will eventually say, "Well if the stone can;t be budged physically we might as well push the button. Anyone have a pole we can use to push the button or a magical way to push it while we stand safely away?"
Badger's mage hand makes itself useful and you all stand back as you push the button. The stone grinds downwards into the floor, covering up the jackal head and gold medallion on it. Through the gap you see a large room, lit by four magical guttering torches. The four torches illuminate stone sphinxes crouched in the corners of this fifteen-foot-high room. The torches cast flickering light across hieroglyphs carved into the tiled floor. At the center of the room , a gold-inlaid funeral barge stands atop a three·foot·tall stone dais. Resting on the deck of the barge is a small golden sarcophagus decorated with horned rabbits. A dark shaft opens in the ceiling directly above the barge, while to the left side of the room, a corridor is visible through a set of fangs carved in the wall. The skeleton of a dwarf sprawls on the floor just inside the room, clad in a tattered yellow turban and dusty chain mail, and clutching a bronze shield. The vulture hieroglyph matches the one you could see through the dial on the other side of the door.

Mal looks into the room and just shakes her head. "We all agree, that there is no way this room does not have some kind of deadly trap in it right?" Then she start to mumble to herself and looks at the first tile floor and checks for traps. If she does not find anything she will take a rope out of her backpack and try and catch the dwarf skeleton and drag it back to them.
"Right, trap. Always a trap," Grenk mutters. He looks at the dwarf and where he lays. "So he made it past the first tile which is a vulture and died on the big foot. Bet a gold coin only the bird tiles are safe."
Mal hooks the body and drags him backwards. As soon as most of the body is on the vulture tile, it clicks down and then the stone block begins to grind upwards. She hurriedly pulls the body through before the rock once again seals the doorway. The dwarves yellow turban is set with a peridot gemstone (500 gp). The corpse also yields a non-magical shield and a belt pouch containing a 500 gp diamond and two one-inch-diameter crystal eyeballs- one dark blue and one vibrant purple.
"Yay, more eyes." Grenk grunts as his belongs are gone through. He lets out a low whistle as the diamond and gem stone are discovered. "Should we ever get out of here, we'd likely be rich."

Slightly dejected, Grenk sighs, "you all are too smart for me. Glad to have ya on my side but dang I thought I could figure this one out."

"Splitting up the party has so far been pretty disastrous for use, so why stop now." Mal says dejectedly.
Grenk will give a half assed attempt at pushing the stone while Mal speaks. If it doesn't move he shrugs. "A break sounds fine."
