Fouder stands by the doorway, but elects to keep watch of the area behind them, in case any stray soldiers pass by. He knows he is not the most charismatic man, more reliable at saying the wrong thing than the right one.
Arell scrambles in as soon as the Elves train their weapons on him, standing up in a half-crouch, hands raised in front of him, only to scramble out of the way once more when Fingolin comes in after him. His heart is beating in his throat, but for a few precious moments time stands still and nothing happens. He had nearly shat himself when he heard the floorboards creak, but for now there was peace. Precious, quiet peace.
The elves talk to themselves a bit before addressing the group. Their wands pointed at Arell and Fingolin. “Do we trust them?” .... “What else are we going to do?”..... “What if they want to help?”... What if they dont?!”Eventually the female elf. Her black hair contrasting her pale skin. Her hand is shaking with adrenaline much like the heartbeat that Arell hears in his ears. She slams both arms dow on the table “Enough!” Standing up again while taking a deep breath. She looks to Arell and Fingolin and commands “Well get your asses in here before Kolyyt’s men show up, cover the windows.”
Waiting for the group to come in and ensuring the windows are closed and covered up out of sight she turns to you. “Why do you seek Cembessa?”
Arell breathes a quick sigh of relief. "There's more of us, don't be alarmed. We're not here to harm you."he says, then turns to the window and softly calls out. "It's clear, come in, quickly."
He then moves away from the window to clear space, and moves into the kitchen, doing his best to appear as he's feeling, a little out of his depth and not looking for a scrap."So, how can we help? Are you with Dembessa?"
Fouder sees absolutely nothing of note, so he turns and enters the building. "Greetings," he says, nodding in deference to the female elf, then towards the others. He tries to look at the egg without being too obvious.

Fingolin spends the time Arell needs to converse with the elves to observe their equipment and any symbols they might be wearing. Then his eyes finally rest on the egg, after trying hard, but failing to ignore it.
"I seek nothing but survival. I did not wish to become invovled with any faction until we knew more. Unfortunately majority rules so here I am." Tennezaz admits in an even voice, his eyes narrowed as he crosses his arms. He reluctantly put his weapon back on his belt.
Solomon grunts and groans as he forces himself through the window, armour, shield and all. He eyes the elves warily as he looks to the others who came in before him for a summary. “We are at peace with these then?”
The female elf waits for her companion to make a loop around and check everything out before continuing on with the conversation. The elf nods. The female elf brushes the hair behind her ear before sighing and relaxing her shoulders. You begin to hear the footsteps down the stairs before they stop and begin to quickly come into the dining room. “Elyse! Intruders!” The Firbolg exclaims while he lumbers into the room. The elf just raises an open hand before waving it and closing her finger tips together, motioning for him to shut his mouth. “Thanks, Reginald, your on the ball once again.”
She raises an eyebrow while she catches glimpses of the party trying to peak at the egg. “Well right now our job is to get that” pointing at the egg “As far away from Kolyyt as possible..... you want to prove yourselves to meet Cembessa? Make sure we don’t die in the process.” She rolls her eyes at Tennanaz, “You’re damn right, majority rules, my vote counts as 51%”
The rest that checked out the egg, don’t know for sure what it is. It being the size that it is and the fact that these demigods deem it necessary to fight over it. You feel safe in assuming that it’s a dragons egg, but nothing other than context clues affirms this.
Looking outside you don’t see any movement, which May or not be as comforting as seeing the soldiers still distracted.
The demonic looking tiefling gives the elf an unimpressed blank look, seeing as in his past she would have more then likely been someone he would have been sent to deal with. "I do not like this elf. If she is what we will be dealing with I think we should try the other side...." He will say when they do not have any of the elves around.
Fouder catches the way Tennezaz is eyeing Elyse. Under his breath, just loud enough for only the tiefling to hear, he whispers in Infernal. "Keep your prejudices in check, brother. We've agreed to nothing yet."
He looks back to Elyse.
"What is 'it'?" he asks, now in Common, gesturing to the egg. "Why does Kolyyt desire it so? And, what do you need us to do?"
Elyse nods towards Fouder “There’s a bronze dragon in there, waiting to hatch. I think that explains why Kolyyt would want it. Raise it as his own weapon... to serve his needs. The Warden Mistress couldn’t allow it, so we took it. Did you see any of that battle? They were covering our escape. We need to make it to the North side of tow , Kolyyt won’t rest until he knows he has it or it’s futile to push further. That’s why we need to get it To the North side of the city and regroup with Cembessa. Undoubtedly we will run into more soldiers on the way. I know where Cembessa is, help us get there and you’ll have your meeting.”
“And what will your ‘Warden Mistress’ do with it?”, Solomon says coldly. “Seems like a long-term solution for a conflict taking place now, regardless of who has possession of it.”
"It seems a bit pointless to discuss all of that here." Arell says to both parties, but he's eyeing the Elves to try and catch a hint of a lie in their words. It sounded plausible, but it could be just as well that the roles were exactly reversed, and Cembessa was the one trying to raise a Dragon as a weapon.
Elyse replies to Solomon’s question. “She’s going to let it go of course, let it find its home until it’s strong enough to fend for itself. Cembessa is about balance, just as The Maker was. She is the embodiment of nature’s grace and looks to restore the world to a state of flourishing. Nature needs to be protected, not used as a weapon.” She tenses up a bit more, the stress in her shoulders that dropped with conversation hike themselves back up. To Arell “you’re right, we need to keep moving. One of you will join us up front to help scout, the others follow behind Reginald to ensure the egg stays safe.... what are your names? You’ve heard mine and Reginald’s... this is Chryl and Lektyr.” As she points to the two other elves next to her.
Arell’s insight:
Elyse looks like a woman who takes her role seriously, if only to make sure everyone survives. Definitely hardened by the times over the past year. You detect that she firmly believe in her “faith” of Cembessa, she feels her words are true.
Whoever leads, roll a survival check. Others can keep watch or focus on other things if they wish.
Solomon’s demeanour softens slightly, as he hears the answer to his question he was looking for.
“Solomon Gilmaer of Neverwinter. For now, at your service.” He gestures to the others, “Arell, Fingolin, Tennezaz and Fouder are my companions; we banded together out of necessity in these trying times. Our last safe spot became untenable with the amount of opportunists nearby.”
Arell dips his head at Elyse, somewhat impressed by her conviction and the ideals she is representing in such dangerous times. He isn't sure if he fully agrees with her, but enough to agree to protect the egg. Furthermore, protecting the egg would give them a good introduction with Cembessa.
Seeing Solomon move to join the scouting party, Arell joins back up with the rest of the group and makes his own, short, personal introduction. He does not ask much of the Elves, nor does he answer much of himself when asked. It was too soon to act a companion to these people, so he was happy to keep it a more business-like relationship. Watch eachothers' backs, and keep the egg safe. No more, no less.

Fingolin smiles, relieved that his little leap of faith has paid off. Elyse might be a little rigid, but she seemed to be a good person. He joins with the group protecting the egg, keeping an eye out for danger.
Catching Reginald's eye, he asks: "Have you ever met Cembessa? Do you know how we could best handle a conversation with her?"

As is usual for him, Tennezaz will move off to the side slightly and blend in with the shadows as best he can, his hand always near his weapons as he keeps a look out.
