(Fingolin can make a perception check to find them cause of prestidigitation, Everyone else is swinging blindly. Tennanaz would know there is a person right in front of him, just can’t see them.)
Grunting at the pain, Fouder steps forward just enough that only his face pokes out of the fog cloud, in order to ensure that his companions are not within the area in front of him. He grips onto the holy symbol hanging around his neck, channelling as much divine, tempestuous energy as he can to cast Thunderwave.
CON save of 13 required, or they take 16 thunder damage and are pushed back 10 feet - the roll is typically 2d8, Fouder will use his Channel Divinity: Destructive Wave to do maximum thunder damage:
Channel Divinity: Destructive Wrath
Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to wield the power of the storm with unchecked ferocity. When you roll lightning or thunder damage, you can use your Channel Divinity to deal maximum damage, instead of rolling.
[Reaction] Fouder also prepares himself to be on the receiving end of another attack, knowing he is low on health. Should he get hit again, he will unleash his Wrath of the Storm to retaliate with lightning damage.
Wrath of the Storm
When a creature within 5 feet of you that you can see hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to cause the creature to make a Dexterity saving throw. The creature takes 2d8 lightning or thunder damage (your choice) on a failed saving throw, and half as much damage on a successful one.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (3). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
As he is using lightning damage, and he has the Elemental Adept feat, any 1s that are rolled in conjunction with damage for this become a 2 (Spells you cast ignore resistance to damage of the chosen type. In addition, when you roll damage for a spell you cast that deals damage of that type, you can treat any 1 on a damage die as a 2.)
As far as I can tell, Wrath of the Storm does not require an action to use so should be fine, but let me know if not and it won't be used.

Sensing the presence of a number of bodies in front of him in the fog, Solomon moves backwards out of the obscured area, and positions himself in the centre of the alley, mentally preparing himself for any number of attackers. "Fall back!" he yells, hoping the soldiers would home in on his voice.

Hearing the soldiers enter the bank of fog, Arell quickly judges himself at a disadvantage within it with no way of seeing his opponents or even be able to tell exactly where they are. He makes his way further back, seeing his compatriots emerge from the billowing mass as well.
Mechanics:
Turn: Move: Retreat out of the fog, 10 feet between me and the edge Bonus: - Action: Ready an Eldritch Blast vs the first enemy to come into view: Attack: 17 Damage: 1 (Rolled with advantage for Faerie Fire, if not applicable take the first of the two rolls)
Fingolin feeling uncomfortable in the fog decides to lunge forward with his rapier, as he thrusts it forward he feels the blade sink deep into... something. The following scream lets him know he struck true.
Solomon and Arell step back out of the fog to see Reginald in a defensive posture and the two elves blasting a hole into the wall.
The screams of the soldier shriek out into the air and is suddenly muffled by a thunderous shockwave erupting from the fog cloud. The group hears a thunderous boom followed by the sound of the soldiers armor clanking one the ground several feet away.
Fouder knows he must have hit a majority of the men by the sounds of how much clattering and clanging occurred. The echoes of the boom echo through the empty streets and building. You can hear just two men grunting on the ground as they try to recover from the blast. The group hears the shouts from the commander “Retreat!” He also begins to say something else. Not shouting but talking, as far as you knew there wasn’t anyone else for him to talk to. its difficult for you to understand with all the rest of the noise. The group doesn’t see anything happen, but there doesn’t seem to be any retaliation.
The two elves continue to blast through the wall with their fire bolts “We’re almost through!”.
Groups initiative - as far as you know the soldiers should be retreating (the ones still alive anyways). But you still can’t see anything.

"I'm going to help get through the wall." Arell says to those around him after hearing the soldiers retreat, then turns to step up to the two elves blasting fire at the wall. "Keep it up, I'll lend a hand." With a flourish of his fingers he starts weaving arcane energy together, then thrusts it towards where the wall is starting to weaken.

Fouder steps outside of the fog cloud, tentatively, scanning the area in front of him to assess the locations and conditions of the soldiers as best he can.
Perception: 6.
ooc: Dammit Fouder...
If the area appears to be clear, with no soldiers approaching, he will dispel the fog cloud.
Tennezaz will stay back with the elves but will make sure to be ready for the soldiers to burst through the fog. To be ready if they charge through he will ready the Dodge action.
“Do we pursue?” Solomon relaxes slightly as the soldiers advance dwindles to nothing, but maintains a firm grip on his shield and stares straight ahead as he questions the elves. “Are you concerned with your enemy returning empty-handed, or not at all?”
Fouder sticks out his head to find five dead soldiers scattered and rag dolled from his spell, the other soldiers and captain are nowhere in sight. Feeling relaxed and even a little proud of himself maybe, he lifts the fog. Fingolin confirms that the soldiers are indeed dead and not regrouping. Ekkiwe spots the two bloodied soldiers turn a corner down the ways, the captain appears to be putting a green stone in his pocket.
Tennenaz relaxes and his finger loosens off the trigger as the fog disappears.
With Arell’s Eldritch blast and another round of fire bolts there is a hole big enough for Reginald to crawl through and big enough to get the egg through.
Elyse responds to Solomon’s inquiry “I don’t care if they return empty handed, just make sure that WE don’t. I’m not the blood thirsty soldiers like they are.”

Tennezaz will move to loot the corpses for anything that might be of use, not interested in there armor or weapons which were more then likely to heavy to carry.

Fouder nods at Fingolin. "Many thanks," he says, as he feels the healing energy enter his sore body. He feels stronger, too, wiser, more capable of casting. He rubs at his forearm. "I was one good strike away from going down."
He looks across to the hole in the wall that Reginald has crawled through. "I suppose we ought to keep moving. If anyone has noticed the sound of thunder when it's not storming, we might soon be surrounded."

Arell nods at Elyse and Fouder, agreeing that, for the moment, running seems more important than taking down the soldiers that escaped. "I'll take a quick look, see if there's any trouble on our path." he says, moving to climb through the hole and scout ahead a few paces. He realizes that the combat could have turned out very differently, and the perhaps in the future he would be better served asking for some help of his patron. The deal was already made, after all, no point in letting it go unused in times of trouble.
Mechanics:
Using my Eldritch Invocation gained from the new level to cast Detect Magic as I scout ahead, if relevant about 1 block/100 feet between me and the party Stealth to remain unseen: 13 Perception to detect trouble: 7
"Anything useful Tennezaz?" Solomon stands over the tiefling as he searches the bodies, keeping an eye out for a second wave. "If not, then we need to go, now."
He turns and makes his way towards the gap in the wall, before addressing Elyse. "Where to now, other than, presumably, north?"
(Sorry guys mentoring a new hire at work, so I have less time right now to keep up)
Fingolin racks his brain, but he can’t quite discern what that stone would be for.
Tennanaz searches the bodies and finds a few sets of chainmail armor, long swords, and spears as part of the normal equipment of the righteous hand. He also finds pins, looking like silver gauntlets placed on the chest of the “lapels” of their outfits. You find some standard clothing that seems to be in good shape, boots of various sizes. You also find a golden necklace in the pocket of one of the soldiers. It has a pendant that hangs, locked it seems.
Arell casts his spell as a light shade of purple covers his vision. (Light night vision from Elder scrolls IV) before he sticks his head through the hole in the wall, the necklace Tennanaz just found lights up bright yellow with Abjuration magic. The group follows Elyse and the others through the wall. There is a tarp like overhang that gives protection from onlookers where everyone takes a second to wait for Arell to come back.
Fouder feels invigorated by the healing magic, restored body and mind. Knowing that his connection to whatever up there is still strong enough to protect himself and his allies.
It’s during this time the Elyse answers Solomon’s question. “There is a tunnel that goes underground for a bit right outside the Castle’s walls. I think it was an old tunnel used by the Noble Families to escape in times of need. One of its exits comes out near a pocket in the forest, Cembessa’s camp is close by. But you kind of have to know what you’re looking for to get there. Some kind of magic makes it.... hard to distinguish.”
Arell takes a minute or two to scout ahead. He doesn’t see any more soldiers in the area, or at least the few buildings ahead down the next three streets. But something catches his eye as he stands alone in the streets by himself. A break in the clouds, but not just clouds moving apart. As he squints his eyes against the sun he sees the clouds part, as if pushed away by force. You see Kolyyt has continued his search high in the sky. Arell isn’t sure if he is spotted, but he’s confident he’s far enough away from the group to not tip them off.
Tennezaz will take necklace and one of the pins from one ofnthe corpses, pocketing them for now since the rest is not what he is currently in need of. "If any of you are in heed of weapons or armor take what you can from them. None of what they have are of much use for me at this moment."
