Solomon narrows his eyes at the deva, realising that celestials were no better than demons; deranged wielders of untold power. Like a spoiled child with a crossbow, they must be appeased, not bargained with, lest they lash out at the slightest infraction. Unless of course you weren't intending on appeasing said 'spoilt child'...
"Like my friend said, the elves took the egg that way", he says, pointing north. "I do not know its current location, and I do not know where Cembessa and her forces reside, other than to the north, but I'd imagine the egg is getting closer to her, and further away from you, as we speak. The longer you parley with us, the more the egg slips from your grasp, so allow us to retire from this area in peace, so that your soldiers may recover, and your search may resume."
With a last glance around the room, Arell makes his way back to the hallway and down the stairs. He had taken a few moments to check the closets and drawers, but nothing remained. His clothes were gone, his jewelry, even his shaving cream and razor had been taken. There might be an old pair of boots under the bed, but the mere though of having to place his bare hands on the boards made him sick, so he just left. He doubted those would still be there, anyway.
He glances out the windows as he comes down the stairs, but sees no sign of Fouder or Solomon. With some sorrow he realizes they might be dead, too. No point in waiting for them.
With heavy steps he moves further down to meet up with the others in the basement and is surprised to see an entry into the tunnel from here. "Upstairs is clear, no sign of Fouder and Solomon. We should keep moving."

Kolyyt insight check: 16
A crack of impatience breaks through the calm Facade of the angel before you. He quickly covers it up before stating “You have wasted enough of my time. Pray that you never find yourself within my sights again. I would blast you into nothingness but I mustn’t concern myself with like likes of gnats. With that he slams his hammer down, the force propelling himself into the air once more as he takes flight. The shockwaves radiates out: Con save 17 or be thrown back 20 feet, prone and take 17 radiant damage. On a save take half damage and only slide back ten feet.
Fouder exhales sharply as he's thrown backwards through the air, clutching at his chest as he lands on his back on the rough ground. Groaning, he watches sky as he tries to steady his breathing, looking for Kolyyt, hoping not to see him at the same time as he hopes to see him flying in the opposite direction to Arell's shop.
Elyse is relieved that the group is looking forward to continue moving on. “I’m sure they will find their way.” As the group continues down the broken tower, now made tunnel it is pitch black. Shuffling through the rubble and debris you find yourself in a winding maze of a tunnel that’s half stonework and half dig out trench. About 200 feet in the pitch darkness there is a fork in the path. Left is stone, the right is dirt. The airflow doesn’t seem to change much between the two and at a quick glance they both seem to go on a distance. Reginald pipes up, “Which way Elyse?” She replies “Blasted, why isn’t it ever easy. No one ever mentioned a split to me...”
Solomon braces himself for the shockwave, but is thrown back like a ragdoll nonetheless. Stumbling to his feet, he summons his sword to his hand, and uses it to prop himself up, until he is able to support his own weight.
"Fouder my friend, if I ever get delusions of grandeur again, and decide on meddling with power beyond my comprehension, please give me a firm slap. Maker knows I deserve one now. I apologise for dragging you into this situation, but something drove me to help those elves, forfeiting my life or not."
The half-elf takes a second to recover, bent on one knee, before rising, an expression of dogged determination set across his face.
Second Wind: 6
"We should rest a while, for I doubt Kolyyt trusts us at all. Delaying our return to the others can only protect them from harm."
Tennezaz nods at what is said and follows after them, giving the group a look when the elf suddenly seems to be lost. The tiefling does not show it much but it is clear he is impatient as he begins to mutter to himself in the gutteral language of the abyss.
"It's important to be true to yourself," Fouder returns, as he sits up. "You should never apologise for doing what is right. I would be proud to have even some of that conviction."
He closes his eyes. "I agree. Shall we take a brief rest? I have taken quite a series of batterings, today. That will give the others even more time to get away."
If we take a short rest, Fouder will roll one hit die and regain 6+3 hit points.
Fouder and Solomon take their hourlong rest. As they get close to feeling rested, the men begin to stir and awaken. Finally awakening from the resurrection. Kolyyt has not been seen.
Elyse turns to the group “All together or do you want to split up?”

Short Rest: 8
Despite the pair sheltering amongst rubble in the shell of a building, Solomon find he is able to shut his eyes for a good 30 minutes before the ground becomes too uncomfortable. Rising stiffly, and with a grunt, he rubs his back and nods to Fouder, who he sees is already awake.
"What do you propose our next move should be? I am wary of being followed - perhaps we should seek a different route to Cembessa?"
"With him flying through the sky it would be better to split up but if he is as powerful as you say then strength in numbers is a viable strategy as well." Tennezaz muses as he lets his tail whip about in mild annoyance.
"I'd rather we continued together, we already have two missing friends. And we need to make sure the egg is well protected."
Fingolin looks around for any tracks or other clues to which path has seen more use. Then he sends Ekkiwe 60 feet onto each path to look and, more importantly, listen for any noises through his senses.

Ekkiwe's Perception with second roll for advantage on hearing: 2310
You send your familiar down both paths. As the left one goes first it seems to head back into the fallen tower more than the underground tunnel. Smelling around Ekkiwe smells something different than the dirt and rock, squeezing through a small spot between some rocks where the path seemingly, (she...he?) finds a small area with a wooden door, albeit sideways closed. The door seems as though it’s an inside door of the fallen mages tower.
the right tunnel, stone and packed dirt in darkness, it does have more foot traffic, but seems to continue on further than its vision will go as it just fades to black. She notices other things like a piece of fabric or a bootlace indicating that this is the path most taken.
"Interesting! Ekkiwe might have found some supplies. There's a door behind some rubble down the left path, leading, I believe, into a room inside the tower. There's a good chance no one managed to get through to ransack it." Curiosity getting the best of him, Fingolin goes down the left path to inspect. "This might require some muscle, help me out, please."
"Yes, the ground does not provide the best mattress. You know, I used to have a great bed, back before all this, at the temple. I slept like a baby," Fouder sighs. "I don't think I'll ever get that good a sleep again."
He rises, stretching his limbs. "I suspect you're right. We should travel overground as far as we can. The last thing we need to do now is draw even more unwanted attention."
Feeling somewhat relaxed now that they were out of visible range from Kolyyt stalking the skies, and deeming it unlikely that the soldiers would stumble upon them quickly, Arell relents and follows after Fingolin. The ring around his finger was causing him some distraction, the sensation somewhere on the verge between itching and pain, but somehow he could not imagine taking it off. Besides, the Fae Lord must have some interest in his safety, so there had to be more than just a near-painful sensation to the ring.
Upon reaching the door, Arell stops to listen if he can hear any movement on the other side. If there is none, he will simply try to open it slowly, keeping a careful eye on the structure surrounding the door for signs of imminent collapse.

Solomon nods in agreement and slings his backpack over his shoulder. "If you are ready, shall we make our way north? I am tempted to avoid the site of the battle we witnessed earlier; the outcome did not look good for Cembessa's forces and we may just walk into more of Kolyyt's troops." The half-elf looks thoughtful for a second, before adding "Or Kolyyt himself. At least we would not need to waste any time attempting to bargain with him."
He snaps his fingers, which causes Skink to appear in a puff of smoke, perched on his shoulder. He nods to the creature, who jumps off, and starts to skip over the rough ground ahead of the two men, sniffing here and there as he goes.

My weasel's broken, I guess Solomon forgot to pray to the weasel god this morning, unlike Fingolin.
