"Let us go then. I would rather not be swarmed by those parasites." Tennezaz says as he keeps his crossbow at the ready, slamming another bolt into it as he recovers what he can from those he had already fired.
The group quickly makes its way inside after closing the doors behind them. You hear the thuds and scratches of the stirges slamming into the door.
After a quick breath you look up to see a ghostly blue figure floating in front of you. Dressed like a scholarly mage, the plain spectral robe dissipates at the edges as it fades ethereally. “Welcome to Blackstaff tower.” it says cheerfully. Before you get a chance to respond s bolt whizzes through the scholarly specter and strikes the ground at your feet. As the ghost momentarily fades, the group looks in the tower and sees a giant spiral staircase, inexplicably high from the building they just saw the outside of (it’s bigger on the inside). Up in the darkness you catch glimpses of another group in armor. Apparently Fouders loud spell has alerted Kolyyt’s group of your presence. You watch the group turn to flee up the stairs.
The group heads a door slam up the stairs. At the sound of the commotion you see other ghosts of wizards past begin to float towards the center stairwell. Not hostile, and not engaging..... just spectating. All shimmer with the same white-blue glow that dimly lights the interior with a haunted hue. The soft spectral light clashes against the flash of white from the lightening outside, the thunder feels distant behind the thick stone walls.
You make haste up the stairwell, ascending up in a counterclockwise pattern. The red velvet rug that runs down the steps, soft beneath your feet. Would feel luxurious if you weren’t so focused. As you march up there are several paths and doors that don’t meet where the stair lines up, glowing with glyphs and runes. Some doors have pedestals nearby, some script over head. You’re picking up quick details as you run by of this very strange and very old magical tower. You make your way up to the second floor where a set of red oak doors finally connect into the next room.
So the door opens quickly and you see a group of five humanoids in silver armor scrambling to move and throw furniture, bookshelves, display cases, anything they can find in your way to block your path. However it seems the some sort of magic keeps everything in its place and nothing is moving despite their struggles. It’s quite.... pathetic really. They see you open the door and they all jump behind some shelving and furniture. In what appears to be some sort of library.
Amidst all this, a ghost wearing a wizards hat and robe, thin mustache, can be seen perusing the cases in search for a book, oblivious to the situation.
A bolt flies from behind a trolley as it whistles pass the group.
(Roll initiative - I normally would but I’m cooking dinner soooo)
Peering in to the library, behind the turned over tables and shelves you see six humanoids, hard to tell of what race and skill set when they’re behind cover. But the blue shimmering light shines reflectively off their various armors. You see they’re grouped as three sets of two groups paired together. One direction on, one to the left and one to the right.
You hear something whispers like commands or details from the group directly in front.

Way beyond where the other group is, you see a door crack open and two others begin to poke their heads out?

Tennezaz will look to see how closely they are grouped together and of they are within 30 feet of each other he will cast Hideous Laughter on them. If not then he will hold his action until they move to where he can better see them.

Fingolin insults one of the soldiers in the centre group, "Coward! All that armour and you hide behind furniture. Come out, Wimp!", he says while taking cover behind his companions.
Fouder holds a hand over the edge of his axe blade, before pressing the palm just enough for him to draw a drop of blood. Curling his fingers in over the wound, he casts bane, aiming his enchantment at the leftmost soldier from each of the three groups.
CHA saving throw of 14 to succeed; on a fail, when the target makes an attack roll or a saving throw before the spell ends, the target must roll a d4 and subtract the number rolled from the attack roll or saving throw.
"We should save our strength. I have a feeling that stronger enemies await inside the tower. Come!" Fingolin enters the tower.

Solomon raises his shield in front of him and advances up the stairs, making sure he is protected against any further bolts aimed at them.
”So much for the element of surprise - after these bastards, before we lose them!”
Tennezaz curses as he moves to fire at th group of they do anything that seems as if it will be hostile.
