Edmond to the group - These evil, filthy Goblins got what they deserved. They've been preying on travelers and honest merchants for some time. Who knows how long their de ...deper er ... derpedations would have continued without stalwart folk like us to stop them. We see before us the contents of 6 crates, containing arms and armour of craftsmanship beyond the abilities of these filthy Goblins and with the mark of the reputable firm of Lionheart Coster. I'm sure they will be most grateful to us for the return of their very fine weapons and.... er... is that Splint Mail? Can I have a look?... his eyes glaze over as he starts going through it all.
Sildar Hallwinter: (to Misty and Gniff) "Sorry for the caution, but i didn't want to be in the hands of one evil to be rescued into another. Thank you again. If you guys are willing to escort me to Emberhorn City, i'll give you 50 gold coins. I don't suppose you all managed to rescue a dwarf called Gundren Rockseeker?" Sildar turns to address Gniff "My boss and I were taking some supplies to the capital as part of a mining group, and we were attacked by goblins. They took us captive... well they at least took me captive. Now that you guys are here, it seems like the goblins will no longer be a problem."
@ Gniff, the Wolf seems to be waiting for an answer to a question but you can't tell what without the power of your spell. the Wolf's disposition seems to be one of happiness and accomplishment.
@ Tandon, (OOC: the wolf killed the two goblin prisoners if that wasn't clear.) Tandon watched as the wolf killed the goblins (read the previous post).
@ Hati, (OOC: same as with Tandon, the wolf killed the two goblin prisoners.) While waiting for some response (that the wolf can understand) from Gniff, the wolf starts licking his fur trying to get the blood out. Hati cleans his blade sitting next to the wolf. the wolf looks over to hati.
(OOC: reminder let me know if you guys take loot from the crates or not [DM"s comment in the off chance you guys try to return opened crates as if they were full. and for helping keep track of who has what loot.)
(OOC: @ everyone, what does everyone do?)

Edmond's aptitudes were more in the gymnasium and the training yard more so than the classroom, however he was getting the notion there was something more going on than Goblins stealing from travelling merchants.

"Well, we were here to do a job and it seems it is done." Misty says as everyone gathers again around the opened crates a bit later. "I think we can return some of this, or at least sell it back for our coffers." She nods to the piled supplies. "I'd like a set of that half plate if the rest of you are ok with that." She says to the others as she sees the armor. "After that I think we should pack up what we can and take it back to the city for sale to whomever wishes to purchase it, depending on what you all want as well."
Misty will look over her own armor, the half plate she takes, for any signs or symbols of ownership.

There is no symbol for the Lionshield Coster on any of the armor or weapons, but the crates have the symbols on the sides.

“Well maybe we should put it to a vote then before we start returning it. I mean, maybe someone is missing it, and maybe they’ve counted it long gone....if the owners aren’t gone themselves if this Sildar is to be any example. I’m the end though it’s not likely we’ll be carrying much of it back. We, or an owner, will have to come in with a cart like the one we had. (OOC Honeslty it’s been so long I have completely forgotten if we brought the cart or walked here lol) I could go either way on it but I can tell ya what, some of these things are definitely that Klarg fellas,” Gimble says to the group.
(OOC Another assumption but I assume now that we’re out of combat we are all grouped together again in Klarg’s chamber)

Well then Gimble will make his way to the team after his 30 min of fishing through the loot. Once he finds them he would bring the party up to speed on what is in the other area. He would ask about the new guy (not having heard the request for an escort)
“What would ya like to do? I know I need to check in at town to let them know the caves are clear. Did ya manage to determine where these guys were coming from or why they were here? Seems a lot of effort for some goblins.”
"Well sir, if you are headed back to that large city I can most certainly help take you there. You can count on me," Gniff says with a smile. He leaves the group to rummage and loot the crates, not really interested in this particular task. He does however turn to the wolf and having had some divine inspiration he chances and casts Speak with Animals with his new spell slot.
"I am sorry friend, I missed what you said," he says to the wolf.

Gerrack moves over to Sildar and listens to his tale. "If w-we take a s-short r-rest here, I c-can help you t-tend to t-those wounds," Gerrack tells Sildar. "T-then I believe we will be h-happy to e-escort you to E-Emberhorn City," agreeing with Gniff.
After hearing Sildar ask about Gundren, Gerrack asks Gniff "P-perhaps the w-wolf knows of a d-dwarf hostage?" While the party is resting, Gerrack will move around the assorted piles of loot and pick out a few things that he finds useful, as long as there are no objections: some darts, a spear, a candle, an empty waterskin, and an hourglass. On further consideration of the crates of goods, he also takes 2 breastplates, thinking to trade them back in town for something more useful.
Returning to Sildar's side, he asks the man "D-do you have any su-su-supplies, or did the g-goblins r-rob you b-blind?" He gestures to the things the party has collected in the cave, inviting him to equip himself for the journey.
Once she has the group back together, Misty would also agree to help Sildar back to town. "We need to go that way anyway." She explains to him. "Be worth escorting you as well." To the group she says, "Best carry what we can of this, and leave the rest for someone to return and get with a wagon. No way can we carry it all out of here."
Edmond finishes cleaning his weapons, including Klarg's Javelin.
Gimble is right. There's more to this than some Goblins relieving travelling merchants of excess cargo. It's almost as though this place was a caravan stop....for smugglers
