Gerrack will continue scouting and follow whatever the party decides to do. If the party decides to keep walking in the darkness, he will keep close to the party on foot, and his "scouting" will merely be watching the surroundings carefully while holding his lit lantern in hand to shed some light.
"I agree with Misty. Let's find a nice patch and set up camp. I will see what I can do for dinner though we will need to supplement with a little extra," Gniff says as he thumbs toward the brush beside them. He promptly walks off the road but stays within yelling range to look for foodstuffs.
He keeps his eyes and ears open, for both friendly and unfriendly wildlife.
I'll take third watch this time... Is everyone ok without a campfire tonight? I know it's a bit of a risk when it comes to 4 legged predators, but I'm more concerned about avoiding the 2 legged kind.

“I think a fire would be appropriate,” Gimble says as he sets his pack down. “Well what a day. I could use a good bit of food and a solid nights rest.”
Gimble dips into his pack for some rations. “So when we get back to town, what are you all thinkin? I know I need to go meet with Mr. Chin to discuss payment for the job at the cave. But I think we should discuss what to do with the loot in the cave. Do we want find the owners and let them know about the items? Or do we want to sell the items off and load our pockets? We’ve already dipped into it some of the items. And I assume all the coins are in our pockets? Shall we just keep the rest? The other side of that coin is by killing the goblins AND returning stolen merch we may really gain some renown in town...which could also work to our advantage. Thoughts? .........oh and I can take second watch.”

Tandon sitting down with the group weighs in “I don’t know how well this place will take it if we start selling the items we..... procured. Maybe keep it until the next town to avoid suspicion. But I won’t mind getting paid for killin goblins.”
“I personally was thinking that same thing. As far as the job is concerned I can try to talk him up but there was difficulty doing that last time we talked. The job itself was only around 28gp on top of the 14gp he already gave me. So we’d have to split that pot. On the note of gold. When Misty and I were in Orcchecks Removals the shop keep, a guy by the name of Grumm, gave a healing potion for free with the expectation of paying him back. If it’s all the same, I’d like to give him this jade frog as payment if you are all ok with that. I highly recommend his place for purchases, seemed a decent enough fella.”
Misty spends some time working on her new spellbook with Finnian.
"Unless we are planning on getting a wagon and heading back out there ourselves, I think we should find the merchants and tell tehm what we found." misty adds as she hears talk about hte gear they had to leave behind. "They can do what they want about it from there. If they want us to retrieve it,t hen maybe we'll get a reward for doing that."
"I'll take first watch, with whomever else is doing it." She adds on.

Before going to bed she takes time to cast alarm around what she can of the campsite. Casting it as a ritual. If possible she will cast it a few times, trying to make a warded area around the camp, and using part of her time on watch to do so.
Finnian helps Misty organize her new spellbook and lays down his own ritually-cast alarm to help fill in any gaps in Misty's camp defense system.
"I'll be taking third watch as well. As for the matter of the crates, I'm with Misty. Best just let someone it matters to know about it, fetch it they'll pay us, and chalk up any missing merchandise to goblins if anyone asks."
Turning it all over to the authorities would be the right thing to do, and also a bunch of good will now might be more valuable down the road than a few extra gold pieces...
"I know I am new to the group but I agree with most of you. I mean we did take some of it but we would still get some good graces even letting them know where they might find their stolen goods. I mean, not the stolen goods you are all using, the stolen goods we left in the cave. Maybe attempt to turn the knowledge into a discount or something with them? Just a thought," Gniff says as he sits around the campfire.

The party decides to stop their journey as it gets dark and the party grows hungry as well as thinking that Sildar shouldn't push himself with the wounds he has.
Gniff is able to gather enough food for dinner for himself and four of the party (Outlander background) [OOC: the other three will need to provide yourselves with food. one of those three can be sildar.]
(OOC: Edmond is taking third watch for when the party is sleeping, Gimble is taking second watch, Misty is taking first watch, Finnian will join Edmond on third watch.)
(OOC: if you are putting out the camp fire during the watches those of you without dark vision will need a source of light or roll your perception for the watch with disadvantage.)
Sildar: (to Edmond) "Thank you. What luck i get rescued by someone with healing talents. You are a good man. If i was in better condition i would volunteer to help watch the camp but i fear i am not in fighting condition yet."
(OOC: @ everyone, is there anything else or should i advance the story to the next morning [pending any events during the watches] ?)

GERRACK is addressing the party
"I t-think it would b-be a-appropriate for me to t-take these a-armours to the L-lionshield M-merchants, if s-someone knows w-where their s-s-shop is. I-It will serve as a m-measure of goodwill, and p-p-proof that we found their missing g-goods. And they l-look as though they have no s-small value, s-so they may e-even partially r-recover their l-losses with these."
Gerrack would be happy to share some rations with Sildar if the man is hungry. He would also stay up and help Misty with the first watch. He would also light his lantern and keep it lit during his watch, in the event that the party wanted to let the campfire die out.
Gniff gathers a nice bed of dead leaves and branches and curls up with his blanket. Rising early morning Gniff follows his usual routine of ritually casting Speak with Animals. He checks in with the local animals to see how the night went and if there is anything about, also about them themselves.
He is happy to hear one particular detail, his friend Quinn is in the area! He respectfully asks for directions and excitedly speaks to whomever is closest, "I have to step out a few moments. Have to meet a friend, no need to worry I will be right back!" He quick steps out in to the forest.
Gimble would prefer to push on until we are finding a spot we will be camping for the evening.
Gerrack will continue scouting and follow whatever the party decides to do. If the party decides to keep walking in the darkness, he will keep close to the party on foot, and his "scouting" will merely be watching the surroundings carefully while holding his lit lantern in hand to shed some light.
"Getting pretty late." Misty comments as she glances around. "Let's pull over and set up camp."
"I agree with Misty. Let's find a nice patch and set up camp. I will see what I can do for dinner though we will need to supplement with a little extra," Gniff says as he thumbs toward the brush beside them. He promptly walks off the road but stays within yelling range to look for foodstuffs.

Hati nods in agreement, eager to sleep for some reason, "You all ought to rest. Weaklings shouldn't try to push themselves so much."
Gimble nods in agreement to Hati. “It’s a good time for a rest. Let’s grab and crash. We have a long way to go tomorrow.”
Gerrack looks for a nice place to set up camp:

Invite Quinn to the camp? We won't hurt him.
Edmond suggests to Gniff.
