Gimble perception 18
@ Gimble, As you walk from Orccheck's you notice someone is following you. At first you think it is coincidence, after a while you figure out this person is following you specifically. The person is a wearing a cloak hiding their face, as well as any identifying features. Based on their size you have determined they are medium sized (OOC: meaning its not a short race like a dwarf, halfling or gnome. And not a more monster race, orc, loxodon, or minotaur) Once the person notices you noticing them, they dash into a side alley. (if you follow), You attempt to follow them, not long you lose them in a crowd.

"Here, let us pull a couple tables together, so the others will have room when/if they show up." Misty says, getting up and helping to pull a second table over to their table. She then sits down again. "We have not had much luck at finding your boss yet, she informs Greg. It is still our primary concern though, but we need to find more information, such as the location of this place he is likely being kept." Looking to the others, as they join them, misty gives them a nod of greeting. "I was just telling O'alana that we should talk with the Princess's representative, to get paid for the tasks we have done so far, as well as finding Sildar to get his promised payment. Along those lines, we should also take the gear we have already aquired, from the bandit base, and sell that. Do we want to do this together, or should we split up and some of us work on getting the reward payments, while the others work on selling off the loot?"
Gimble sees the group gathering at the table and walks over.
“Mornin,” he says with a bit of a huff and puff still mildly out of breath from chasing the person following him. “What’s for breakfast?”
Gimble begins rummaging through his bag for the healing potion and places it on the table.
”I already sold what I had. Again, got great business from Grumm over at Orchecks. He gave me 71gp and 4sp which I then turned back 45gp for his only healing potion. I figured we’d need it.”
Gimble flags down a server and orders a big breakfast of sweet rolls and meats and eggs.
”Oh, and I met with my guy, I’ll share more when everyone is here, including the fact that I was being followed here.”
@ O'alana, (OOC: are you looking for something in particular on Casmir and Greg?)
@ Misty, O'alana, Casmir, and Gimble, Greg and Gimble sit down at the table and join you three. After you flag her down, Elsa comes over. Elsa: (to Gimble) "A gold piece for that big breakfast. Can I offer you a drink to go with it?" After Misty mentions Sildar, Sildar happens to walk into the inn. Sildar comes over to your table. Sildar: (to Misty, O'alana, Casmir, and Gimble) "Ah, Adventurers, glad I caught you all before you left. Here is your reward for helping me." He drops a bag containing the 200 gold on an empty spot of the table, and he drops it gently enough that none of the coins spill out of the bag. Greg: (to the party) "Wow, you adventurers get paid well." Sildar seemingly ignored Greg, continues. "If you need anything, or find out anything more. Feel free to contact me. I will likely be at the palace. If something changes I will try to meet you all here at the Stonehill Inn." (If no one stops him) Sildar departs from the Stonehill Inn. (Assuming Gimble pays for his meal) Elsa comes back with Gimble's meal. Elsa: (to the party) "Wow, that's a lot of gold to have lying on the table. If I didn't know any better, I would say keep your eyes on it."

Gniff has the directions/locations for the three locations to report. the three locations are City Hall, the City Guard Barracks, and Emberhorn Palace. [reward: 25 gold from Harbin Wester the Princess' Steward] {Currently in progress.} 2. Cleared the bandit base, return to Emberhorn city for Sildar to reward you. Report to Harbin Wester for a reward. Report to Mr. Chin for a reward. 1/main quest: Find Gundren Rockseeker for Greg Greenspear. Gundren's location is likely at the Goblin Castle or the Goblin Castle is the best place to look for that information. [reward: 600 gold from Mr. Chin] 2/secondary quest: (minor update) The bandit leader has escaped, be careful of future bandit attacks. [reward: 50 gold from Harbin Wester.] 3/secondary quest: The Princess' Steward wants the Orc Raiders who have been raiding the towns north of the capital to be wiped out. He will reward anyone who brings back proof of their destruction [reward: 100 gold from Harbin Wester the Princess' Steward] 4/secondary quest: The Emberhorn Kingdom is struggling to negotiate with centuar tribes across the kingdom over land disputes. Convince the Princess or her steward to participate in the negotiations. [reward: ???] 5/side quest: Try joining the Fists of Justice Adventuring Guild [reward: Fists of Justice membership] 6/side quest: Investigate Thornton's Shop and Exchange [reward: ???] 7/side quest: Investigate Sister Garaele [reward: ???] 8/side quest: Bring the lionshield coster's crates to the lionshield coster shop. this quest has grown increasingly difficult due to the party's poor reputation. [reward: 50 gold per crate] Alternative: tell other interested people about the lionshield coster crates location. Alternative 2: Investigate Linene Graywind for possible Red Brand Bandit connection. Check at the lionshield coster for results or check with Harbin Wester. 9/side quest: You freed the Prisoners, maybe check in if they got back to Emberhorn City ok. [reward: ???])

Misty pulls the coins over, getting them off the table and out of sight of others in the common room. "We can split it once the others arrive. She says, not wishing to keep such a large sum on herself. (How many ways do we need to split this?)
"Let's lay everything we have from the bandit camp out on the table." misty suggests. She places anything she helped carry there, and waits for the others to do so. She would then cast identify on any items that are magical in nature, casting it as a ritual. "Now, who wants to take on the duty of taking all of this stuff somewhere to sell?" She would ask the others. "I'll go with the group to the palace, so we can get rewards for cleaning out the goblins from those caves."
Gimble looks to Elsa, “Surprise me with something that pairs well,” and he hands her a gold piece.
”Mornin Sildar, thanks for making an early stop for us. We were just talking about coming your way. We’re you able to find some rest last night? I slept like a log.” Stay pull up a seat, join us. Your insight may be needed as we decide what our next steps are.”
Gimble turns to Misty, looking around the room, maybe this isn’t the best place to put all our stuff on the table? I can take a few people over to Grumm’s but I wouldn’t be able to carry it all. We also need to inquire whether or not they found those crates in the cave and reap the rewards for that too.”
Casmir looks, surprised, at the bag. "So we get paid to do the right thing? That's incredible. Tyr's ways are really mysterious". He looks to the others and continues, "I only joined halfway, though, so I should take a smaller share. Changing the subject a bit, I was thinking of checking on the Dendrars - you know, the family we freed at the bandits' base? Would anyone like to come with me?"
@ Misty, You identify (OOC: out of the list of items in the group private chat that are magical) a potion of invisibility, 3 potions of healing, a +1 longsword (OOC: it still can be checked for historical value by doing a history check, from any player, or trying to get it appraised by a willing NPC.), one of the scrolls is a scroll of augury, the 3 bottles of alchemy supplies, is one bottle of mercury, one of dragon bile, and one of powdered nightshade, another scroll is a scroll of charm person, the last scroll is a scroll of fireball. Your spell was not able to identify the gems since they were not magical in nature.
@ Gimble, (OOC: technically @ everyone else at the table too, Misty, O'alana, Casmir), Sildar stops before leaving the table. Sildar: (to the party) "Thank you Gimble, I was hoping to do more work, but since you all saved me and did me a favor, I can accommodate." Sildar sits down. Elsa grabs the coin, gives Gimble a wink as she leaves. Sildar: (to the party) "What insight can I help you all with?"
@ Casmir, (OOC: everyone at the table), Sildar: (to the party) "There is no shortage of gold, unfortunately for the kingdom, we have more problems than heroes. I can only hope there are more champions of Tyr like yourself, willing to help in these trying times." Greg: (to Casmir) "I don't suppose that these people you rescued have a good amount of money? I might need to look for a new boss if the search for my old one takes longer.... or if he is... if he didn't make it."
@ everyone, (OOC: let me know what the plan is. It looks like three different objectives, Report in the quests, Sell off treasures and excess weapons, and Check on the people you rescued.)

"I think we need to revise then." Misty says when the desire to visit those they rescued comes up. She considers things for a long moment. "While I agree visiting those we helped is of value, I think splitting up so much might be problematic. I think maybe we should go and visit the family we rescued on the way to the palace, this way we can take care of both items, but not having one of us out on their own." She looks at those around the table. "Who can aid Gimble in hauling our loot to the shop for selling, or should we all go to the shop first, so we can carry the stuff there, then leave Gimble to do the bartering while we move on to the family's home?"
“Actually, I’d appreciate two people at least to go with me. One at my side and one trailing behind a bit. See I was followed on the way here from Orchecks, all I could managed was a medium sized person covered by a cloak. (OOC did I get a color or texture at least?) They fled when they saw I noticed them. I don’t think it was related to the bandits. I’d like to see if we couldn’t make them think twice about following.
As far as the objectives go after we’re done in town, Sildar I’d like your opinion on whether we go after goblins in a castle or the orcs. I’m leaning towards the goblin castle first. (OOC Gimble describes the castle details that Chin gave him) Do you think you could secure some more details about either target and also secure some more potions for us?”
"I will go with Gimble." O'alana volunteers. She nods at Misty and says, "You people should split the loot; I have no share. Which shop are we heading?"
"No preference," she says to Gimble, arms crossed in front of her as she pouts and points out bluntly. "I hate goblins and orcs equally. I am happy to do either."
@ Gimble (OOC: it was a dark brown cloak, the cloak covered up any discernable features. Best you can figure is they didn't have a tail or wings, since those features would stand out.)
@ everyone, (OOC: I will post a story update when there is a concrete plan, and I might start giving players warnings if they continue to not post, particularly branch who has not posted in a long time.)

Gniff practically bounces down the stairs, all smiles and energy. He waves at the group as he comes to join them, "Morning everyone! Wow, those beds are something else. I am not one for sleeping in but I just could not resist. Sylvanus looked kindly on my rest."
After catching up on the decisions to be made, "I will gladly help Gimble haul some of the gear. Maybe I can get some new armor! Oh, and personally I am more inclined to disperse those goblins. They are a nuisance in the forests."
"Do we even know where the goblin castle is located?" Misty asks Gimble. "Last I was aware we still did not know its location... Plus the orcs are a danger to travelers, while the goblins are not going anywhere, I'd prefer to deal with the orcs first, as it is something we can do some good at right now."
@ Gimble, Sildar: (to the party) "I know of that castle you describe. I would call it a ruin not a castle. Its older than the Kingdom, hence its disrepair. You say goblins have taken it over? As for weighing in on which we should do, consider this... The Kingdom's military is working on the Orcs, as far as I know, only you adventurers know about these goblins. Do you know how many are occupying those ruins? I can probably get a potion, is it my connections you are after or do you need money?" Elsa comes back to the table and hands you your drink. There is something about this drink that has a very pleasant smell to it.
@ Gniff, Elsa watches you as you join your friends. Elsa: (to Gniff) "Can I bring you some breakfast?"
@ Misty, (and everyone since I'm giving OOC information the party would know) (OOC: Gimble has given the party directions, but know how to get somewhere and following directions are two different things. Right now Orc and Goblin raiders are potential problems. As far as the party knows, the Goblin Castle is closer to the city than the Orc Raiders, but the party does not have any specific information about the Orc Raids) Greg: (to the party) "Do you mind if I tag along with you all while you are in the city?"

Gniff lights up at Elsa's question, "Oh yes! I would very much enjoy some breakfast thank you!" Noticing O'alana Gniff practically scrabbles onto the table, "Hi there! I am Gniff, a warden of Sylvanus. I don't believe we have met!"
Gimble takes the drink from Elsa with a wink. Sips it slowly to taste it first. “Thanks.”
To O’alana Gimble smiles. “I don’t know who you are, but I’m Gimble, and I like you already. Thanks for the help.”
To Sildar he says, “I don’t think money is quite the need but your connections or the knowledge you’re able to garner from those connections would be helpful. Case in point with the ruins. If you could write out some directions for us that would be great. I don’t know how many, but if they are connected to the ones who held you, I’d wager there are many and they are organized. I’m open to ideas to scout the place out.
To Misty he turns and replies, “I hear you on the orcs, but as Sildar has just shared with us the military should already have something in the works. However, I am open to discussion. My last point is this, where is the likely place Greg’s boss could be AND how much time do you think he has left?”
After hesitating for a minute, Gimble than asks the group, “Who has those signet rings, I’d like to take a look at those please?”
"Very well, seems like the goblins will be our next item of business then." Misty says with a nod to Sildar and Gimble. She pushes up from the table. "Are we ready to head over and check on that family then?"
(OOC: Gimble, Niff, or O'alana have the rings, as you three now have all of the loot from the bandit hq. I want to put it out there that I dislike hording of loot in a group, so please let's make sure we all share evenly.)
