Gimble goes to the door, and listens for anything on the other side. He checks to see if the door is trapped or locked. And if so will attempt to undo that.
”I got this one guys.”
Perception 21 Investigation 10 Slight of hand 14 (if necessary)
@ Gimble, you hear the faint echo of snoring, likely the hobgoblins sebastian spotted, and misty relayed to the group are somewhere past the door. Checking the door, it is unlocked.
"Snoring it is." Misty agrees. She runs a hand through her chestnut hair, mussing it a bit, then gives the others a nod. She grips the magical sword she still has drawn, ready to move in to do more butchery as soon as the door is open.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gniff steps up and lightly opens the door. The smaller halfling inching it open until a similarly small being could get through (Gimble), "Go on through, I will follow up." Gniff prepares to be the second through the door.
@ the party, (OOC: anyone trying to sneak, give me a stealth roll)
@ Gniff, (OOC: i know you said you wanted to go second, but since you are the only one with a stealth roll i'm having you go first), You carefully push the door open, as you step into the room it is noticeably dark so you are having a little trouble seeing. Directly ahead of you is another door. to your right you continue to hear the snoring sounds. The sound is coming from behind a curtain further down the room. You are not sure, but there appears to be light coming from behind the curtain.
@ the party, (OOC: what does everyone do next?)

Misty stays put, moving to the door but not through it. She wants to give those trying to sneak a chance to scout the way ahead before her noisy self gives them away.
Gimble signals the group over. “Perhaps a two pronged approach is in order,” he whispers. “Some through the curtain, and some through the door? I can move through the curtain first otherwise.”
(OOC if ya wana separate to come from two angles then let’s do that. Otherwise, I can send Gimble in first.)
Stannic whispers “It may be best to keep together. In any case, I am for taking out these sleeping enemies before they wake up.” He casts Shillelagh on the new quarterstaff he picked up and pushes through the curtain, ready for whatever is on the other side.
Misty stands by which ever entrance we are using, and is ready to follow whomever in. (I believe we are just waiting on the DM to sort this out, as we all have made it clear we are moving forward. I believe many are unclear as to which entrance we are using, or if we are splitting up. Misty is going with Gimble, which ever entrance he is using.)
@ Gimble, Gimble, you successfully sneak into the room, you see three hobgoblins, two asleep and one awake. You attack the one awake hobgoblin.
You manage to deal 12 damage, killing it.
@ the party, There is two sleeping hobgoblins. (OOC: We could do what we did last time and have everyone roll critical hits on the sleeping hobgoblins, but last time the only one that survived was due to someone rolling minimal damage, so I'll say if the party wants to kill the sleeping hobgoblins, i'll just say they are dead without anyone rolling.)

Casmir looks at the butchery with mixed feelings. While not looking at the grisly results of the necessary slaughter, he takes a good look around the room.
(OOC: Perception 3 He's probably more upset than he thinks)
Gimble smiled at the DM’s decision and loot the room. Whispering, he asks the group, “There can’t be many more here in defense.”
Gimble looks about the bodies for valuables and then cleans his blades on the bedding.
Perception 8
@ Gimble, (OOC: assuming no one objects to killing the two sleeping hobgoblins...) You find 2 gold pieces, 1 silver piece, 3 chain mail armors, 3 shields, 3 long swords, 3 long bows, and 60 arrows.

“So much stuff. What are we gona do with it all? And where to next. I kinda got turned around getting into this room and I don’t know which way is up at the moment.”
"There's this door here to the south, and a curtain to the north" Casmir answers. "If I recall correctly there's something big behind the door"
(OOC: The map shows a big circle with a "?" in the south room, and I believe Misty couldn't see what's in the rooms to the north. We could go that way first. Also, can Casmir get one of the long bows and 20 arrows? More range than the crossbow, and it's not a loading weapon.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Stannic stands aside as Misty and Gimble finish off the sleeping hobgoblins, and helps if it is required. He is not one for wanton butchery, but these creatures decided their fate when they attacked innocent traders on the trail, and he is willing to do his part to clean out this nest. "Hopefully we find your missing dwarf in one of these rooms. Doors protect more than curtains, we should check that direction first."
He moves to the door to the south and places his ear against it, listening for any sound coming from the room behind it. Perception: 18.

@ Casmir, as you walk to the northern part of the room and go past the rubble, the canvas screen is obscuring a door.

"So what you think?" Misty asks both Cas and Gimble as they check out the doors. "Which should we go through first?"
“It sounds like snoring. I bet we could get the jump on them again,” Gimble whispers.
Casmir votes for going where there's noise of snoring. He will let the silent ones go first then walk in to engage whoever is awake.

(That would be Misty's intention, so, if given the green light - that the awake ones are taken out, she would move in and start slitting throats.)
