"I don't like this person" Casmir says after Hamun Kost is gone. "Zombies are an abomination and should be destroyed"
He hangs his warhammer on his belt and slungs his shield on his back, ready to go back to the camp.
"However, I understand this is not a fight we want to pick. I still don't trust him, and I don't want to do him any favors. I'd rather not talk to the banshee lady for him. Now the orcs... As the wise Aurelius used to say, 'if it is the right thing, do it' so I'm fine with that."
He looks at Syl and asks "What could you possibly want from someone like him?"
“He clearly has Arcane knowledge that I lack. but I must admit the undead don’t interest me very much. Dealing with the orcs, I think we can agree on.” Syl says.
Stannic nods at Gimble “Yes, the Banshee said a Necromancer had the book the Sister sought. That could not be the same wizard, but perhaps..” he trails off in thought before looking over at Casmir, Syl, and Thok “I am not sure what Master Gundren would think of us running off to battle Orcs. He has hired us to get him safely to wherever the map leads. We should head back to camp.” He looks back at the tower “I am not sure we would get anything of use from his arrangement. I sure do not want to be a messenger asking questions between the two.”
@ everyone, the party returns to the two dwarves and the wagon with the oxen. Gundren: (to the party) "I assume since you are walking back, as oppose to running back the area is safe? Either way I hope you are all ready to leave and continue on our journey." Gundren climbs into the wagon and turns it around to exit Old Owl Well. Greg nods at Gundren. (OOC: assuming no one objects or tries to stop Gundren) The two dwarves get into the wagon and start moving. The four of you walk along side the wagon in various distances and angles to keep everyone safe. Gimble riding his recently acquired Mastiff. The party continues to travel along the dirt roads until it clearly starts to get dark. Gundren: (to the party) "Perhaps we should have stayed in that town. I was hoping we would make it to the next one before nightfall." Gundren looks around for a place to stop. The wagon and the party continue down the trail until there is more room to pull off the dirt road, and less trees clustered together. Gundren turns to the party Gundren: (to the party) "Does this place seem safe enough to you all?"

Casmir looks around, trying to see if the place chosen by Gundren is safe. (Perception: 3) "Looks just fine! I can take first watch"
@ Gimble, the area seems about the same as most of your camping sites. The area does seem a bit exposed, but not much you can do about it. With the proper placement you could do your rope, string, bell, alarm system you've done in the past. Your mount will also likely help in early detection.
@ Casmir, This place looks like every campsite you've had while adventuring with this group, must be perfect. Nothing to worry about.

“Looks good to me as well. It’s going to be a bit open but nothing we can’t handle. I can set up a rope and bell alarm type thing to help serve as a first line of defense. If we set the camp up having the rope and the wagon as protecting some of the area could help to create the barrier,” Gimble suggests. “If he has first, I can grab second watch. Although with it being this open, perhaps we watch in twos this time?”
@ everyone, with the party's approval, Gundren leads the wagon into the area. Gundren and Greg start setting up camp. Gimble and Thok start setting up an alarm system for when the party sleeps. (OOC: everyone take off a ration from your inventory, or give me a survival check to see if you manage to hunt anything down to eat. Your characters don't have to eat now, but at some point before retiring for the evening and start doing watches.)

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(thok has that outlander background feature that says it allows him to find food for himself and up to 5 others as long as there's small game and berries and stuff. That seems sort of trivializing this part, but could it assist in the group's checks or something?)
@ Thok, between your background and skill with nature, plus your ability to survive in the wild, you bring back what most survivalists would call a feast. You manage to get several game animals, as well as some eatable and healthy plantlife to consume. A mix of berries, nuts, and other typically eaten plants. Gundren and Greg seem pretty impressed with your haul, and comment how thankfully they are to have hired you.
edit: @ Thok/party, you also help prepare the camp to make it both as comfortable and safe as possible given the location and supplies the party has at its disposal. As well as expertly prepare all the food you collected for a nice evening meal. (OOC: no one needs to mark off a ration or hunt if they wish to eat what Thok has collected and served to the party.)
Syl also helps by ritual casting an Alarm spell where the group indicates. “you are a very skilled hunter! This is worthy of a royal feast. We are lucky to have you along”. Syl says, as she enjoys the meal. She will take a watch, as an elf she doesn’t need sleep but will be meditating for half of the night. On her watch, she is assisted by her familiar, a tiny elf owl, which hides in a tree with a good view, and watches and listens intently.
“Thor, can I get some of that meat for the dog? That’s quite the impressive haul too. So…Let’s talk. Should we have a game plan going in Gundren? And we heard there may be orcs in front of our path. Should we go ahead first to clear that mess before we move the cart forward?”
Thok will be set by the fire to cook the game he's returned with. As it is cooked, he assesses each member of the party and hands out portions he believes appropriate to each.
"Without knowing their numbers, it is difficult to plan for the orcs. Perhaps someone might scout ahead?"
