Finnian nods and slides his chair back to stand. "Aye, let's get moving before we burn too much daylight. The goblins may be willing to wait, but we can't afford to give them the cover of darkness. Good luck finding Hati, Gerrack." With that, he heads out of the inn with his party at his side.
Korhil sits in waiting, absent minded and playing with an arrow. He rises when he notices the party beginning to head out. "Are we ready then? The sooner we get there, the sooner we'll be done."
Edmond to the group - So we are walking then. Thank you Mr Greenspear for the information about the stables. When we get back you will be the first to know :).
Edmond fetches his gear and heads out to the south gate with the rest of the Fated 8.
Finnian, Misty, Gimble, Edmond, Gerrack, Conrick, and Korhil section:
Finnian, Finnian follows Misty out the door and heads to the south gate to the city. (OOC: the same place the party entered.)
Misty, Misty leads the way to the southern gate, confident her friends and allies are following her.
Gimble, Gimble takes one last look around the Inn's common room/bar before the party leaves, he sees Greg and a few other patrons having their morning meals and drinks. (OOC: he sees nothing of interest.)
Edmond, Greg Greenspear: (to Edmond) "Thank you Edmond, you and the rest of the adventurers have a safe and great adventure." Edmond follows the rest of the party heading to the south gate.
Gerrack, Since there isn't alot of air traffic in this area or much of any in the world, you see another flying creature in the distance, you decide to check it out and it is a tiefling fitting the party's description of Hati. (OOC: what do you do?)
Conrick, Elsa: (to Conrick) "It looks like your friends are leaving, are you sure you want that coffee?"
Korhil, follows the party.
(OOC: the party is on the move, i'll need a marching order and a set pace. your pace options are slow, normal or fast. on a slow pace you will travel slower than normal making the trip take longer but you get advantage on any and all stealth checks with this pace. on a normal pace everything is normal. on a fast pace you travel faster than normal but cannot move stealthily and auto fail any stealth checks that may occur. the pace can be changed at the start of each day.)
Hati, section:
Hati, you don't see your friends leaving the city. you continue to circle around looking for them.
(OOC: next post there won't be any need for sections so hope you all enjoyed them while they lasted.)

Upon spotting the form of what, from all accounts from Edmond, must be Hati, Gerrack lets out a piercing eagle cry that reverberates through the air, which roughly translates to "I approach in peace!" in Aarakocran, not that he has any real hope of being understood in this land of foreigners. Still, it will hopefully be enough to warn the apparently oblivious tiefling of his sudden approach.
As he circles around the tiefling, he dangles the amulet in plain view from one outstretched arm and cries - in common this time - "A-are you the one known as H-H-Hati? S-Sir E-Edmond has sent me to f-f-find you!"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(OOC: Gimble can be one of those out front, and I’d go for normal or slow pace)
Gimble is hustling a bit to catch up to the front, “Hey Misty, hold up. Hey I was thinkin. If we’re really goin back out there it may be helpful to have some of us up front. And I assume the wings are already in the air. So, I don’t know if anyone wants to join me out front, but I wouldn’t mind snooping out there or to the group’s flank (OOC: Assuming Gimble is one of the ones in the front, he will stay about 20ft in front of the group, keeping his eyes darting from path to sides and back.)
Hati stops his circling as Gerrack approached him and stared at the birdman. A small growl emerged from his chest, but upon hearing a familiar name he loosened up, "Take me to them then." His tone is mistrusting, but lenient in this case, which is usual whenever Hati meets someone for the first time.
With a sharp nod, Gerrack wheels around and begins to fly back towards where he had last sighted the group, flying at a comfortable speed high over the city.
Edmond will be last in line when in single file, following the others while keeping an eye on their back trail and also looking out for their airborne friends. And he will put his armour on at the first short rest. His Hammer and Shield are packed, his sickle is sheathed on his belt, quarterstaff ready to be drawn, and carrying his new crossbow.
“I’ll take on a rain check on that coffee. Sorry for the trouble. Another time then!” Conrick apologizes to the rest of the party for holding them up and joins the group ready for the day.
Misty would already be in her armor, having been prepared to leave at first light.
Misty would be towards the front of the group. She would be setting a fast pace, not so worried about being stealthy on a road, but would slow down if it becomes clear stealth is something they need to be doing.
(OOC: marching order: Gimble, Misty, Finnian, Gerrack, Hati, Conrick, Korhil ,Edmond. [correct me if i got the order wrong.] DM's comment it doesn't have to be single file the road is wide enough for the group to be side by side if you guys wished.) (OOC: for pace 1 for normal/slow, and 1 for a fast pace. so i'll leave it at normal until we get a consensus.)
Gimble, scouts ahead of the group, confident that no one and nothing will ambush the party.
Misty, since Gimble is scouting ahead, Misty is in the front of the group setting the pace at faster than normal but the rest of the group is dragging their feet.
Finnian, you are doing your best to keep up with Misty.
Gerrack, You see the party as they are leaving the city's gate, you fly down leading Hati to the party. Gerrack gets in line with the rest of the party.
Hati, You follow Gerrack back to the party and follow them down the road.
Conrick, After giving your answer to Elsa you quickly catch up to the party. You follow the group.
Korhil, follows the party.
Edmond, You watch the party's back as everyone moves foward, being this close to the city you feel pretty safe.
(OOC: I'll advance the story along in the next post. feel free to party interact in the mean time.)

"Got soft with a night's rest huh?" Misty calls back in a teasing tone, slowing her pace as the others are dragging a bit it seems. "Hey Hati!" She calls out as she spots the tiefling flying in. "Glad you could catch up with us!" Turning to Finnian... "Got any sailor songs you could sing as we march? I don't expect as a sailor you know any marching songs..." She bumps him with a hip as they keep walking.
Finnian marches along with his arcane focus near at hand and his sling loosely tied around his waist like a crude belt. Not being particularly stealthy, he follows Misty's faster pace without any complaint, at the ready for any incoming dangers. He smiles and scoffs at Misty, saying "And what manner of sailor would dare live without knowing a good shanty? Here, I'll even pick a simple one, let the rest of you keep up!"
After clearing his throat and taking a deep breath, Finnian launches into a song, his voice carrying easily among the party.
"Oh, we'd be alright if the wind was in our sails We'd be alright if the wind was in our sails We'd be alright if the wind was in our sails And we'll all hang on behind...
And we'll ro-o-oll the old chariot along! We'll ro-o-oll the old chariot along! We'll ro-o-oll the old chariot along! And we'll all hang on behind!"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
GERRACK is addressing Gimble, Misty, Finnian, Hati, Conrick, Korhil, and Edmond.
"Y-your amulet," Gerrack warbles, returning the item in question to Edmond with a bob of his head.
"W-Walking is not something I do e-easily," he says to the others as he notices them take their places for the upcoming trip. "B-but flying is second n-nature to me... I can also s-scout ahead from the air and offer G-Gimble support. I-I can s-signal you with my m-mirror below if I s-spot something a-ahead."
He waits to see if anyone has any objections -- particularly Hati, as the other winged member of the group, since it would be foolhardy to both attempt to take the same aerial positions.
OOC: If there are no problems with it, Gerrack will be taking point from the air. If possible he will be trying to fly stealthily, as well as scout. Since his flight speed is very fast compared to other races' normal walking speed, I am making the assumption that he wouldn't have disadvantage on the perception roll, but that he would have disadvantage on the stealth roll because of being airborne. Please discard these rolls / let me know what I need to reroll if I assumed any mechanics here incorrectly:

As he hears Finnian and Misty begin to sing, Gerrack ruffles his feathers uncomfortably. He's pretty sure they're carrying the tune well enough in the common tongue, but he'll never be able to get used to this chaotic cacophony of voices as song. Even so, he's a bit envious of how easily the two banter with one another, and glad to be able to hide his awkwardness in company by taking to the air.
Hati lands for a moment, to politely greet the party, but returns to the air, circling the party. He doesn't really care what the bird-boy wants to do, "Do what you want."
Edmond to the group - This close to Emberhorn I think we can set a fast pace at least until lunch. We can slow down to normal pace after lunch if we like, but that will depend on what we encounter. Meanwhile, my turn for a shanty - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGyPuey-1Jw
