Game: D&D 5e, sandbox via generated world maps, towns and dungeons from donjon.
Group Type: Online, Play-by-Post (D&D Beyond PbP Forum)
Experience: For prospective players, some experience with D&D 5e is preferred, but not required. As a DM, I no experience, but open to learning via experience (and laughs!).
Location/Timezone: GMT+0, the United Kingdom. Being in the same timezone will help with flow, but not essential.
Schedule: Open-ended, preferred posting frequency is at least 1 posts per day
Game Style: As maps and place are pre-generated, I was hoping for a game focused on making a great story with mature players. More RP focused, but exploration and combat will definitely be present.

Aazel is the son of a clan chief. His parents were killed in tribal wars leaving him as the sole survivor of his clan. As a youth he was given a medallion which he was told that when he came of age, it would lead him to great knowledge and power, but since there is no one left from his clan to guide him he never learnt the meaning behind the medallion. His purpose in becoming a holy warrior was two-fold: 1) to be able to stand up to his enemies if ever they came again. He would not allow his clan to die completely; 2) to seek for some way to try and connect with the spirit of his parents in the afterlife to gain knowledge of the medallion and its secret. He continues to study any aspect of religion or arcane knowledge he can find in hopes of either contacting his parents or unlocking the secrets of the medallion.
Daffafle grew up along the Red River, just outside the Ravenwood Forest. Her parents had rejected the hustle and bustle society, specifically after their former city was targeted by monstrous beasts, wanting to live in peaceful solitude. Daffafle, however, was always interested in people, badgering travelers through the area, and keeping careful notes on each person. While she learned the ways of the rangers from her parents, she determined to explore the world. After returning home from travel, she was horrified to find her parents were missing, their home in shambles. She was unable to determine what caused the damage, nor was able to find her parents, alive or otherwise. Her life goal is to create a compendium full of each creature that can be found in the world, especially including the hominid races. She also hopes that, by completing the compendium, she will be able to discern which monsters attacked her parents and their village.
Backstory: Lorilla doesn't know when she takes her jokes to far. She never means them in mean spirits, she just wants to make people laugh. And the gnomes she lived with in their village deep in the sylvan forests encouraged this behavior, so she never knew just how bad it could get. The only person who would reign her in was her uncle, who turned her excess passion and energy to work with the fine details of his jewelry making enterprise. Lorilla took to it almost as easily as she did to pranking people. Her uncle took her with him to sell his jewelry, and the attitudes of the people she met made her want to stay and lighten people's days. So she did, waving goodbye to her family with promises to return when she was done making mischief in the world to make people laugh.
Vappa had not even hatched when his nest was invaded by a rival Lizardfolk tribe. His mother, sister and a few other hatchlings were the only to survive, fleeing deeper into the harsh swamps. Soon after he hatched, Vappa realized that this tribe of less than twenty was already struggling to feed those who couldn't feed themselves. Vappa took after his sister to become a hunter to feed his family, but he was too young. An alligator three times his size was about to swallow him whole, but then his savior came; an elder human woman, went by Karisha, wandering the swamps in hopes for shelter, rescued Vappa and killed the alligator with ease. Vappa, eager and desperate to help his family any way he could, pleaded with the woman to teach him her skills. She agreed. The training took the better part of Vappa's young adult life, including to read, write and speak Common which was, admittedly, much more egregious. When he was in his early twenties, Karisha declared that his training was complete and opted to leave, but not before she told Vappa about the human lands. She said if he wished to put his skills to the test and provide for his family, he should go there to accept missions for coin. Vappa said goodbye to his family, promising that he would return with money and supplies to rebuild the tribe.

No one really knows what happend but there are rumors he might be involved. Wulcrath was once a member of a Fairly Large Town's Guard, however, after an attack that overwhelms and destroys the guard and Town, He finds himself wandering the countryside, seeing the world and it's many places and inhabitants. He wanders from place to place, taking odd jobs from anyone who will give them to him. One day he takes a job that asks him to search for people who have gone missing. Wulcrath quickly learns that this job in particular may turn out a little more odd than any thus far...
Bart has been a scribe in his local library for several years now. It seems however that the library will soon be left to rot, unless something can be done. Their biggest sponsorship has withdrawn, and they simply can’t afford to pay the scribes, researchers, and custodians. Bart loves the library and wants to do all he can to keep it alive. He’s always had skills that could be used for... other, more profitable work (largely learned from the very books he’s protected, copied and cared for). It’s time to go looking for ways to put them to use, and hopefully keep the library up and running.
Unfortunately, it would appear some work is more dangerous than what he was prepared for...
