This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
After finishing tending to the others, “My name is Egret, a traveling cleric of Gond, though this was not in my itinerary,” with a slight smile at an attempt at humour, “I can fight well enough and have a few useful spells, but the only weapon I have is a length of rope like his. Maybe I can try and restrain one of them while the rest of you attack it...” Voice trailing off he’ll start fiddling with the rope to see if its long enough to tie into a noose, losing track of where he’s at. Dex? 6
If the DM will allow, I will use Blessing of the Forge on the pipe, not sure if its enough of a weapon to count.
The quaggoth steps forward from the back of the cell, and, surprisingly, says in elvish:
(I think Tempest and Don are the only elvish speakers here)
My name is Prince Derendil. I was polymorphed into this form by a terrible curse. I am actually an elf. A gold elf, to be precise. I must return to my kingdom, Nelrindenvane, in the High Forest.

Thank you for your kindness. It is hard to find around here. I will help you as much as I can. I must break this curse before I am overtaken by this primal form.

(Has Don heard of Nelrindenvane? Does he know anything about it?)
Don eyes the quaggoth warily. Surely this quaggath isn't a brute, like the others of his race Don has heard of. Don will try and ascertain his honesty or intentions as they speak.
Insight: 18
In elvish:
"Well met, Prince. It is nice to hear the fair speech down in this dark hole. How long do you have before a cure is out of reach? What can you tell us about the other prisoners here? Who among them can be trusted? Like yourself, there are many among them of races best avoided, on the surface."
The derro smiles around at the group with a haughty air. He then speaks in Under Common:
"Be not alarmed..." He says to those who understand him. "Many things have happend as has been ordained already, and it will not be much longer until you can lead me from this place..."
Don, give me a history check. The quaggoth replies:
I do not know how long I have..****y that the curse makes me more bestial every day. The rest of these...they do not speak the fair speech, so they only see me as a monster.

Manju - In Orcish still laying on on the ground will roll his head to meet the Orc's gaze.
Elves and Dwarves aren't so bad, plus they're probably going to end up helping to get you out of here and back to your tribe... might want to be more helpful and grateful.
"Glad you can, gives us a way to speak without everyone in the world knowing what we say... Might be useful when Drow are around..."
In common she answers his other question. "Not too helpful in itself so far." She says with a shrug. "Lots of people need to get back home it seems, not much in the way of giving us something we can use to get out of here though..."
The orc is surprised that anyone could speak the warrior's language. He'll shove some gnomes to make room if Manju comes closer.
Like they helped you? Wha'ver you are and the bugbear be'n beat down, and took off to get torture, they all sat. 'Course t'was stupid, like stupid stupid to attack, n'one should'a stood up, but still. They make speeches about help'n after y'ar off get'n torture, all noble like. You know that dorf took the pipe you drop'd, once y'ar gone? Also stupid to show but still. You get beat, he gets weapon

MManju - Rolling over to his side Manju will lazily crawl over to Ront before sitting down and throwing a pebble at bugbear.
"Ha they're just scared but Manju isn't. I don't know if you know this but I'm kind of a big deal... or soon to be in Faerun."making a disgruntled face "I don't need a pipe, life in the circus has hardened my hands and honed my body, that's why they couldn't hit me... for the most part. I do agree it was stupid but I couldn't let Mr. bugbear over there do it alone and we got valuable information, I don't think they can handle all of us and even if a few of us fall we can get weapons and over run them. You know if we ever get out of here I could use someone to carry my equipment, it'll pay well." giving the orc a playful elbow
Tempest, you don't remember anything about the place either. I did forget about Don's insight check: You feel like he's telling the truth.
Tempest actually isn't too put out by that. She is too impatient with her studies sometimes and probably just didn't care enough to read about some elven kingdom.
Ront does not carry. (you can tell from his inflection he is making fun of your 3rd person thing, and also very offended but allowing it with disdain because you are not a real person (ie an orc) Orcish has a lot of ways to express negative emotions) What the eff is Manju?
Won't attack dorf and elf for now, fine, but don't let them get too close. Rather kill dark-elf for now.
Manju - Letting an enormous pained grin curl across his face and continue speaking in Orca.
Knowing the Orc isn't exactly pleased with him or how he presents himself, Manju will continue to push on and try to help him out... there's a fan in there somewhere and he's willing to find it.
"I am Manju. Performer, acrobat and personality at your service. Probably a good idea not to attack them anyways, from the looks of it you would be very outnumbered if you chose to do so. What can I help you with, is there something you need? I'm sure we could work together for a mutual benefit.

Tempest looks over the creature in disbelief. She shakes her head though, since she did know things like this were possible with magic.
"well, help us get out of here and we'll do the same for you." She says in the end after a moment for her shock to ease.
The quaggoth nods.

The orc looks in surprise at the Quaggoth speaking Elvish, then spits and curses (I think only Manju understands Orcish)
Elfs and dorfs eff'n everywhere. Elfs in disguise, humans talk'n eff'n elfyboots, dark-elfs shov'n new dorfs and elfs in here. S'bites.
