The bugbears glance at each other, then back at Isolde who is doing foot tricks with The Black Spider's severed head amid the entrails of the slain giant spider. They then look back at the weary party: the disheveled Marcon, a crouching Ronk; eyes wide and fierce, Vanzaren who looked scared but determined to put up a fight, Garet standing there stoically ready to accept whatever fate befell them and finally Rigel with his face twisted into an angry scowl but eyes that pleaded with the bugbears to join them...
One bugbear gives an acquiescent shrug to the other, who returns the gesture with a nod. Rigel's shoulders slump just a little in relief in response to the bugbears' silent agreement to his offered alliance.
BGBR 3 The brute bends down and snatches up his small buckler, fixing it firmly in his grasp while eyeing Rigel. "Better be right little puny man," he growls before turning and stomping towards Isolde while snapping his spiked club around with a few flourishes like a city jailer.
Attack (Morningstar): 13 vs. AC 19 (Isolde); dealing 15 piercing damage on a hit.
Isolde seems to barely notice the approaching bugbear as she tossed around the head with her foot like a hacky-sack. The bugbear broke into a run, bring his spiked club over the top in a hard, downward strike but the slender eladrin merely leaned left at the last minute causing the attack to miss her completely.
Just then, from the door in the hallway behind them, came the sound of pounding on the other side of the locked door, followed closely by the sound of an angry dwarvish voice: "Help! Get me outta here! Confound it! Open this door now!" It was easily recognizeable as the voice of their patron, Gundren Rockseeker.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Marcon, whether it had been for good measure or simply for being looked at by the foebear, let out guttural growl as if daring the bugbear to take another swing. For a brief moment after, a look of disappointment and rising anger crossed his face once the bugbear turned to strike at Isolda. But before he can act on either fury or reason, hearing Gundren gives him pause long enough to glance back down the hall, and even appear to calm down. Juuuust a little.
"Gun... dren?" He said in uncertain tones. Frowning, he then spared Isolda a long look, before with a heated huff, he snatched back up the warhammer and marched back down the tunnel fully intent on literally clawing and smashing the door apart; venting the last of his fury in the act, prior to his hands and arms largely returning back to normal afterwards. Just before the attack however, he'd bark out loudly for Gundren to "GET BACK".
Movement: Back down the hall to the door.
Action: Dragon's Fury(Attack) at the Door. (Initial, Reckless)Claw - Attack #1: 25 Damage: 6 of non-magical slashing. (Bonus, Reckless)Claw - Attack #2: 19 Damage: 6 of non-magical slashing. (2-Handed, Reckless)Warhammer - Attack #3: 21 Damage: 14 of non-magical bludgeoning(if door is not broken down by then.

Which each blow, the door begins to crack and splinter under the force of Marcon's determination...if nothing else. The first two strikes take their toll but fail to achieve the farmhand's objective. The third strike, however, was more than enough to reduce the heavy wooden door to little more than firewood, which scattered across the floor inside the room. Peering inside, Marcon finds not only Gundren, but his brother Nundro and a pale-looking Sildar Hallwinter.
The three stand, unarmored and unarmed - save for their balled fists - but nonetheless ready to defend themselves. Seeing Marcon standing in the doorway, Sildar visibly relaxes but Gundren dishes out a healthy dose of dwarven bluster: "Oh are ye done with yer vacationing now, huh? Ronk stands and leans against the wall for a moment, feeling... Rather rough at the moment. He sees how fast Isolde works with her sword and lets out a low groan. Isolde dodges one spear thrust and swats away the other with the back of her palm as if she were merely shooing a fly. Ronk realizes his first attack was a little hasty, but knows his second was well-placed...as he withdrew, he felt a tinge of admiration for Isolde's monk-like movements all while remaining completely composed.
ISOLDE "Well, it looks as though your friend doesn't want to play, so I suppose we'll deal with you first," says Isolde to the bugbear standing right in front of her. She grasps the hilt of her longsword in both hands and swings it sidelong, sending her into a deadly pirouette:
Multi-attack (Nepenthe, two-handed): 21 vs. AC 16 (BGBR 3); dealing 13 slashing damage on a hit. If the target is a fiend or undead, it takes and extra 7 radiant damage.
Multi-attack (Nepenthe, two-handed): 17 vs. AC 16 (BGBR 3); dealing 11 slashing damage on a hit. If the target is a fiend or undead, it takes and extra 10 radiant damage.
She circles several times gaining speed as she pulls the sword close to her chest, then lunges out bringing the blade around waist-high. The tip of her sword catches the bugbear just below his armor and opens up his mid-section from one hip to the other. It happened so fast that he didn't even feel pain, but his eyes went wide as he looked down and saw the inside of his body. He jerked his head back up, mouth agape in surprise, just as Isolde came around for the second swing...this one aimed high enough to catch the bugbear at the base of the neck...and liberated his head from his body.
GUNDREN The surly dwarf reaches down and picks up the warhammer that Marcon had dropped for him and marches through the door with the determination of a man on a mission. "Eh...now who's that!?" he exclaims upon seeing Isolde as he pushes past Vanzaren into the chamber.
NUNDRO Having no weapon to wield, the dwarf's brother follows after him, but stops short of entering the chamber as well when he sees Gundren stop in his tracks. "Any of you lot got somthin' I can swing?" he says to the group.
SILDAR The human walks towards the door and rather than blustering past Marcon, the man stops and offers his thanks: "It seems we owe you and your friends our lives yet again," he says gratefully. (OOC: Sildar will take the dodge action this round.)
Vanzaren passes back his scimitar and draws the moonblade. "Take that," he says, stepping farther into the room and getting ready for whoever tries to swing at him first. "I don't recall inviting you here," he says in Isolde's direction.
Garet gasps heavily as he feels the danger they are in. With a swift move he pulls of his father shield and gives it to Nundro "I b..believe that is a p..proper cause".Then hegrabs gently his medallion and whispers short praying

Despite all of his training and skill, both martial and magical, Rigel is unable to land a hit on the eladrin, who just stands still as the attacks somehow manage to miss her completely
Though stopped for a moment by pangs of discomfort, Marcon gives chase after Sildar and the rest, and eventually brushes past to get into the main chamber itself. Then with an exasperated huff he pushed himself just that little bit more to get behind the elven swordsman and kept to a wider stance as if to keep her departing back through the southern doors. Yet for all his apparent bravery anyone looking closely enough can see a nervousness tinge his every movement.
Movement/Action: To Dash until directly behind Isolde.
