It's been three weeks at sea, leaving your homeland for dead after what the people are calling The War of the Green started. The monarch of the lands of Sarroka, Queen Leenea, was kidnapped during her travel to the neighbouring empire of Daverro. All that was left were green scorch marks and the crisp remains of the unicorns that pulled her royal carriage. Sarroka, under its guidance of the Prince Regent, claimed that Daverro had taken their queen. The emperor claimed the opposite, stating she never even reached their borders. This started a war between the two states that has lasted four years, but it seems like neither side would win. While the two sides were warring with one another, it appeared that a third party was involved, as during the largest battle for both sides, the entire of the field was covered in a coat of green flames. None that were on that field survived, but from their ashes rose spectral figures with a green tint, a whole army of undead men and beasts.
Both sides, realising that they were now both on the losing end, called a ceasefire and to make a temporary alliance against this new threat. However, it was too little too late. This Emerald Army had too vast numbers, more than even the elite paladins of Daverro could manage. It only took three weeks to ransack both capitals. At present, refugees from both nations are sailing to the nearby island of Prospain, a neutral country, in hopes of regrouping and seeking asylum before sending brave adventurers back towards the green flames that bathe both nations in an attempt to find and defeat the Emerald Army and whomever is pulling the strings in the background.
Welcome to campaign recruitment thread for War of the Green! A campaign in which you (yes you, the player) can take a role within a group of hardy adventurers whom will be some of both nation's last hopes to regain their homelands. This campaign world comes to you thanks to the generous input from the recruitment interest thread. The campaign will be based initially on a large tropical island, though it may transition back to the continent and the nations of Sarroka and Daverro as the game continues. When I have a group together for this campaign, I'll be fleshing out the world with them to get things going.
Please note this is a homebrew campaign for a world I'm writing as we go along. Nothing is fully set in stone yet, so it will be open to critique etc.

Family Member: Goblins don’t have traditional families. Everyone is your brother or sister in a goblin tribe, but we would still backstab each other for food. Backstory: My tribe lived close to the the border between Sarroka and Daverro. We were minding our own business : hunting, fishing, sleeping. But when the war started everything got turned upside down. Bandits, Refugees, Soldiers. So instead of being abused by them, i’ve chosen to join one side. NPC: Nadariel a Sarrokan Halfelf, he tough me how to control the natural energy and he gave me the feeling to belong to that army and that my brother in arms belong to me.
Ability Scores: Ability scores: 1112159131010 (using point buy)
Alignment: Neutral Good
Faith: Umberlee
Favourite Food: merengue (full of air, perfect for an air Genasi)
Wish: Endless flight
Fear: Fire
Trinket: 18
Nationality: Daverro
Nation Views: They are idiots, all that fighting after blaming us for their queen vanishing when she never made it to us. They are very good at overreacting
Stakes: My magic isn't fully under my control and so I am scared to be around too many people. I want to free our lands so we have more space rather than being crowded refugees.
Family Member: Human mother: Beatrice, and twin brother Gale (no magical powers, it had been theorised that my lack of control comes from having absorbed his power so having too much)
Backstory: I was part of the fleets protecting Daverro from sea attacks, so although I was in the war, I wasn't in that fight. I was one of the crew sailing to Prospain, and likely one of those sailing back to try and reclaim land.
Thing of Note: Daverro's Emperor had a secret relationship with Queen Leenea (rumour in Daverro, could be a fact but was never confirmed. Adds to why Daverro had nothing to do with it)
NPC: The captain of my ship, a wood elf named Ivellios Galanodel. He taught me all I know about sailing, a favour that I have been unable to repay.
Name: Ace Cragaxe Race: Envoy Warforged Class: Gunslinger Fighter Background: Inheritor (the will of his creator, and knowledge of how to craft firearms) Ability Scores:11, 15, 16, 9, 16, 13, 14 (I'll definitely keep these) Alignment: Neutral Good Faith: Moradin, Dwarvish God of Creation Favorite Food: Though he cannot eat, his father has a love of Strawberries and therefore Ace has a fondness for them aesthetically. Wish: For the world to know and recognize what a brilliant man his father is. Fear: To be out done, or made obsolete. Trinket:89 (A vial of Dragon Blood, interesting to say the least, if using the PHB trinket table at least)
Nationality: (Thank you kindly for the answer) Daverro Nation Views: Due to his nature and the teachings of his creator, pity that both sides seemed to have been at war for so long due to the machinations of a third entity. Stakes: To show the effectiveness of his father's creations while also slowing the needless loss of lives. Family Member: Dalgram Cragaxe, 317 year old Mountain Dwarf (Father/Creator) Backstory: Before the war began, Ace was built by Dalgram primarily to be an assistant. Lifting boxes, holding things in place, mostly menial labor to aid the at the time 313 year old dwarf in his seemingly mad experiments to build a weapon he had seen in his dreams. The war breaking out unfortunately caused the elderly dwarf to have to put his projects on hold, pack up and move. The stress on his old body, as well as his looming mortality made him believe that he may never be able to fully realize his dream of creating a weapon that even the physically weakest person regardless of race could defend themselves with, and more efficiently end conflicts on a military scale once perfected. The answer was right before him however, in the form of the warforged which before then had no name, only 'bot'. Pouring all his knowledge, all his ideas, and literally rebuilding Ace from the frame up to continue his legacy and be the perfect example of it's functionality. Though Ace inquired multiple times of going to the front lines, each inquiry was shot down by Dalgram, always mumbling of some extra upgrade to be made or blueprint to improve. However after the arrival of The Emerald Army, both seeing a chance to show his father's brilliance and help the cause Ace made sure his father was secure on a refugee ship, and left with tools and weapons in hand to join up with whoever else may be brave (or from a certain standpoint foolish) enough to go against such a threat. Thing of Note: While Ace was a crack-shot with his father's inventions and always happy to lend a hand to those in need, he has a distinct lack of care or compassion for anyone whose foolishness got them in a situation. To the point of having been witnessed refusing to aid people who got trapped or injured while attempting to retrieve material possessions from their homes when the area had already become too dangerous. Dalgram lectured him for this, but the Warforged couldn't seem to wrap his head around the concept of having compassion for one who as he sees it threw their life away for such a stupid reason. NPC: Rival/Enemy and Uncle: Malbek Cragaxe, 200 year old Moutain Dwarf. A fellow craftsman, but a more traditional dwarven craftsman in the making or armor and weaponry, Malbek viewed his brother's creation, including Ace as an embarrassment to the family name and to craftsmanship in general.
I am happy to discuss/tweak anything you think needs tweaking, just a character I adapted from a game that fell apart ages ago I would love to get to play again ^_^.
Character Sheet Made: https://ddb.ac/characters/17814533/jmATZy Uncommon Magic item is Goggles of Night Spent most of the gold to have purchased and crafted a Pepperbox and a fair amount of ammunition for it.
QUESTION: Which, if one over the other, would be more likely to be highly technologically advanced/have access to the technology to make both Warforged and Firearms?
Daverro would be more of a technological-based society than Sarroka. Think of Daverro basing their technology on mechanical engineering & magic, whilst Sarroka is more a traditional fairy tale magical progression.

Name: Kaed Race: Human (Variant) Class: Wizard (War Mage) Background: Criminal/Spy Ability Scores: see above Alignment: CN Faith: Favourite Food: Hearty Stew Wish: It would change on a daily basis but would revolve around the concept of acquiring great power and using it in a fairly selfish but generally good way. Save the kingdom and become the king type goals, not just save the kingdom. Fear: Going back to prison Trinket:91 a gold monocle frame without the lens?
Nationality: Sarroka Nation Views: Spent the entire conflict in prison in Prospain, had only just arrived back in Sarroka. Stakes: Denied the chance to fight with fellow war mages due to incarceration wishes to atone. Family Member: Younger brother, also a mage, likely to have been fighting in the conflict. Backstory: Former War Mage, gambling debts led to leaving for Prospain, attempting to rob a rich merchant in order to raise the money owed but was caught, when caught imprisoned for nearly the entire duration of the war, returned home only to have to immediately return to Prospain, which he isn't overly pleased about. Thing of Note: Kaed found he missed the spicy, yet hearty food of his childhood more than anything when living in Prospain, if he is honest with himself he probably misses dice games too, despite the trouble it got him in. NPC: Casil, his cellmate in prison, due to be released shortly, a likable but extremely shady character.
Name: Vilrael Halfblood Race: half-elf Class: Warlock, Fiend Patron, Pact of the Chain Background: Haunted One Ability Scores: see above Alignment: N/G Faith: Seeking faith, but doesn't revere any specific deity Favourite Food: Elven Bread, a sweet bread rarely cooked by elven mother as a special treat Wish: destroy his patron Fear: succumbing to darkness Trinket:43 A tiny silver bell without a clapper, heirloom from mother
Nationality: sarroka Nation Views: Blames leaders on both sides for getting everyone into this mess, feels sympathy for commoners and soldiers caught up in it. Stakes: Seeking redemption Family Member: Lilenar Silverleaf (maternal elven grandfather) Backstory: lived with elven mother and human family before the war, when the Green Army attacked village he made a pact with demon lord to defend village, ended up releasing demons which destroyed enemies and villagers alike Thing of Note: rumor-village destroyed a division of green army. Fact-villagers killed in process NPC: demon pact giver, imbued essence of the demon into my character. Will DM detail ideas if asked/selected Alternate/additional NPC: Shalroc, Demon cultist who offered pact to character

Character idea is used elsewhere. If you're intrigued and looking for a backup to fall in, I'd be happy to come up with a new concept.
Name: Yroc Grumbak Race: Orc Class: Fighter 1, Warlock 4 Background: Tribe Member Ability Scores: Ability scores: 6121512121415 Alignment: Lawful Neutral Faith: The Tribe of Ancients (Did some research on the Undying, which led to the Undying Court, based off that; an Orc version, neutral/nature aligned) Favourite Food: Hyena, hide burnt to a nice black crispy coat Wish: To gain a place among the Tribe of Ancients, to help shape the future of the Orc race Fear: To become frail and weak, lost to history as if he were but a meaningless Human miller. Trinket:71 - A tiny silver icon of a raven
Nationality: Daverro Nation Views: Initially, the war was a cause for easy raiding as the able-bodied men were pulled away to the front lines, but when the Sarrokan soldiers trod onto their tribal lands their allegiance suddenly aligned with their supposed ruler, and they fought fiercely, not quite in the name of Daverro, but with a common enemy, thus both sides turned a blind eye to their differences. Stakes: Half of the tribe's warriors died in the Green Flame, the great battle that was even now shaping his future. Yroc knows many of his tribe remained in their ancestral lands, and he is anxious to learn what has become of them, if they have survived to defend their holy sites. Family Members: Basc, younger brother and strong warrior, naïve but fiercely loyal to his family, had a wound in his leg that festered during their escape, leaving him unable to return until the war is won. Naidu, younger sister, fell in love with a Human during the escape, bringing shame to the tribe. Yroc still speaks to her, but it leaves a sour taste in his mouth, and he does not expect her to choose to return. Backstory: Yroc was, and still is, a warlock for the Tribe of Ancients, a chosen one to commune with the Ancient Orcs to determine the best course of action for the Orcish race as a whole. When the war drums signalled, the Eldest warlocks remained within the tribal grounds, with the younger generation taking up the banner to lead the Orcs into battle. Working loosely with the soldiers of Daverro, they raided into Sarrokan lands, with Yroc leading small war parties. He was on such a raid, far from his tribal home land, working on intel passed through the Daverron military, when he heard of the Green Flame. A rush of refugees, both commoner and soldier alike, drove him to find refuge on a ship, knowing the enemy lines suddenly stretched deep between him and his home lands. Thing of Note: The tribal lands of the Kra'k Toch, or Warrior Blood Hands, is a land of open plains and sparse rocky hills. It stretches for miles, and many of the hills have become holy sites, with shallow caves dug into the sides as places of prayer and holy burial sites. It is close to the border with Sarroka, which is how they got involved in the war in the first place. Rumour, or perhaps belief, says each hill is a seat around the blue fires of the Tribe of Ancients, where the Ancient Orcs sit and talk and pray, guiding the Orcish race in ways unexplained to simple mortals. NPC: Turic, half-sister and occasional lover, poor archer and known to be a coward when it gets hairy, but her intellect has proven worthy in former scraps with the enemy. Out of all the Orcs that made it across to Prospain, the only one besides Yroc currently willing and at strength to return. (Barring other players making Orcs... don't see a whole lot of them, but it can happen)

Name: Nariah Foolsbane Race: Half-Elf Class: Paladin/Warlock Background: Courtier Ability Scores: <roll seven stats, 4d6 keep highest 3, drop lowest roll. If you don't like your rolls, put note of using standard array/point buy> Alignment: Chaotic Good Faith: Corellon Latherain Favourite Food: Her father's spiced potatoes Wish: Another day with her father. Fear: Meaningless death Trinket:94 White Sequined Glove, a gift from Boris
Nationality: Sarroka Nation Views: Daverro are either blind fools of outright liars for believing their Emperor. Stakes: My father died that day, I wish to make it so his life had meaning Family Member: My mother and sister surely are there, I would have made sure they got to the boats. Backstory: Daughter of a general and a witch with a high position at court, Nariah grew up in luxury. She bound herself to the Dark Lady, source of her mother's powers as soon as she was able. When the war started, she took vows and joined the army, combining her fey powers and paladin abilities to be of use to the army. Her father was commanding troops when the green flames came, while Nariah had been on a mission guarding a supply chain, and far from the field of combat. She tried to continue the fight, but wound up putting a lot of effort into ensuring her family's safety. Thing of Note: There is a steep divide between the more traditional churches in Sarroka and the organized groups who draw power from the Feywild. NPC: Boris, her sometimes lover, often times rival is a human scoundrel who worked along side her. He refuses to sign up with the army but his loyalty to the throne seems unshakeable.
Question: Thinking of making either celestial or fiend warlock, what do you have in mind for pantheon/hell/abyss?
I'm keeping the base idea of the cosmological wheel. Baator (Hell) and the Abyss are there to play with, and we can work on a patron based on if/when the campaign is starting up. Feel free to put in notes about your patron which can be fleshed out in the future.
Thank you, will post character details this evening, EST.
There's plenty of time to amend and change your thoughts if you need. I'll be browsing through the submissions, but not making any decisions properly until I close the recruitment thread. Just edit and update your previous post.

Did you have someone who died on that battlefield?> Family Member: <name a family member or two who could potentially be safe aboard one of the ships emigrating to Prospain> Backstory: <what did you do before this war started? Name: Shade Race: Changeling Class: Warlock 5 or Rogue 5 Background: Spy Alignment: Chaotic Good Faith: Loara, God of Spells and Magic Favorite Food: Crab Cake a la Corserus ( Made with seaweed and coconuts ) Wish: Fear: Being burnt alive Trinket: 75trinket
Nationality: Sarroka Nation Views: They must see that the war is not the end of things but the beginning of a better life. Once we win of course. Stakes: My two brothers disappeared during the war. One, Pirus, on the battlefield and the other, Golias, a peacemaker was ambushed. I want revenge and bring peace to my parents. Family Member:Eldin and Gias are my twin sister and her future husband. Backstory:Shade is a spy. He was always one and he lived a double life trying to help his country. Shade has been at war for a long time. Thing of Note: So the idea is that Shade is a construct that was made magically and inserted to replace one of the sons of a very patriotic family. He believes that he is one of them but the parents know better. He is part of a group called the Fog that has been created from captured doppelgangers to infiltrate and give an edge to the Sarroka's spy network. They are thoroughly brainwashed and inserted into the population to hide their true nature. NPC:Blume "The Iron" Carval. Merchant and nobleman. Under a facade of frivolity and exuberance, he is the shrewd spymaster that has given the crown many of his victories.
going with point buy Alignment: Neutral Faith: Ancestor worship Favourite Food: Crabs Wish: A ship that could sail through the air, or even between the stars Fear: Dragons. He’s worried he’ll be thought weak, and unworthy of the blood in his veins. That they’ll kill him for mere imitation. Trinket:75trinket a candle that can’t be lit. He has a suspicion that someday, when he proves he’s worthy of his dragon’s breath, he’ll be able to light it
Nationality: Prospain Nation Views: Sammesh has been making money moving weapons to each country, and smuggling other goods in and out of both sides. He’d rather they didn’t find out. Stakes: Sammesh is worried he was too busy making money to realize he was profiting from their deaths. He now hopes to make up for his war profiteering by helping where he can Family Member: his cousins, Daro, and Tellasz. They don’t know what he’s been up to for many years, due to distance. They came from Daverro. Backstory: He was sailing a small ship. Fishing, smuggling, and finally ferrying refugees. Thing of Note: The village he’s From is notorious for pirates. NPC: Sammesh has done business with a pirate, Harker, who occasionally makes threats to expose that fact unless Sammesh continues to do work for him.
Name: Ephraim Hornstock Race: Human (Var) Class: Wizard (Divination) Background: Sage Ability Scores: Ability scores: 13111215161212 Alignment: N Good Faith: Oghma Favourite Food: Peanuts Wish: An end to all of this, so he could retire in some damned peace. Fear: That these dreams he keeps having will never end. Trinket:65 A nightcap that, when worn, gives you pleasant dreams (actually fits in with his backstory really well...)
Nationality: Sarroka Nation Views: Ephraim is old enough to remember way back before the war started, and has many friends in Daverro. He hated the war and is almost glad to see a common enemy that may get them trusting each other again. Stakes: Since delving into the divination magic years ago, Ephraim's always had little glimpses of future events. However, the nightmarish visions he's had lately has gotten him out of the library and into the thick of it. Family Member: a niece and nephew, Cynthia and Clovis Hornstock. Backstory: Ephraim spent many, many years in the capital of Sarroka, studying in the Academy. When the war broke out, he stayed out of it, hoping to keep studying and divine some way to end the war. He had flashes of what was coming, but never a complete enough picture to warn anyone. He did get enough to get him and most of his family out of Sarroka before it was overrun. It was a little difficult to get them to take him seriously, because despite being a capable wizard, Ephraim's gone a little bit nutty staying in a library for so many years, and hasn't developed the social skills quite as much. Thing of Note: Ephraim is an esteemed member of the Academy of Magical Studies, which is the top school in Sarroka for wizards. It's been around almost since Sarroka was founded, and Ephraim probably taught many of the mages that fought in the war. NPC: A half-elf friend that's a professor from a rival academy in Daverro that he hasn't spoken to since the beginning of the war named Kellen Offund.

Name: Marius Dragonsoul Race: Human Class: Barbarian 3/Druid 2 Background: Acolyte Ability scores: 106127151214 Alignment: Lawful Neutral Faith: Platinum Dragon Favourite Food: Root vegetables (he's a vegan) Wish: Peace across the world Fear: That there really isn't a Platinum Dragon Trinket: 79
Nationality: Daverro Nation Views: Both nations are wayward and in need of discipleship, but he has the idea that Daverro has moved further away from spirituality with their technological advancements and so feels Sarroka is a little more right-minded. Stakes: 1. I am a missionary sent to minister to the army. 2. This evil must be vanquished. Family Member: No family; two fellow monks: Amad Soolt and Gristale Freedman Backstory: All Marius knew until just after the War of the Green began was the Solace of Lendyson monastery. Dedicated to the worship and study of the Platinum Dragon, those who lived within Sol lived separate from the rest of Daverro and instead attempted to bring order to their own lives through study and training. The priests have always told Marius he hatched from a dragon egg left on the steps of Sol. While he does not believe this particular tale, he has always felt some pride when they say he has the heart of a dragon. For over five decades, Marius did not leave Sol. After the War of the Greens started, however, he and a few other of his order left the safety of Sol to help combat the new evil as missionaries. Marius wasn't involved long before the evacuation begin. Thing of Note: While the people of Daverro mostly feel the Solace of Lendyson is/was a holy place, and so revere it to some extent, the fact that so little is known about what went on within the walls (they were completely self contained with their own farm, livestock, craftsmen, etc.) have given way to rumors about sexual practices, deviant worship rituals, etc. The monks have no idea about these rumors, though, because they're only said out of earshot just in case. Fact is, it was almost paradise, and very primitive. All monks are vegan. There is absolutely no technology. There is no giving in marriage; the monks procreate on a schedule. NPC: (See above) Amad Soolt, a half-elf, has been Marius's brother in every sense except blood. They grew up together, studied together, fought to learn and fought because they got on each other's nerves, supported each other, and competed with each other. They left Sol at the same time, though they did not stick together; they separated to help spread the word of Bahamut.

Name: Ace Cragaxe
Race: Envoy Warforged
Class: Gunslinger Fighter
Background: Inheritor (the will of his creator, and knowledge of how to craft firearms)
Ability Scores: 11, 15, 16, 9, 16, 13, 14 (I'll definitely keep these)
Alignment: Neutral Good
Faith: Moradin, Dwarvish God of Creation
Favorite Food: Though he cannot eat, his father has a love of Strawberries and therefore Ace has a fondness for them aesthetically.
Wish: For the world to know and recognize what a brilliant man his father is.
Fear: To be out done, or made obsolete.
Trinket: 89 (A vial of Dragon Blood, interesting to say the least, if using the PHB trinket table at least)
Nationality: (Thank you kindly for the answer) Daverro
Nation Views: Due to his nature and the teachings of his creator, pity that both sides seemed to have been at war for so long due to the machinations of a third entity.
Stakes: To show the effectiveness of his father's creations while also slowing the needless loss of lives.
Family Member: Dalgram Cragaxe, 317 year old Mountain Dwarf (Father/Creator)
Backstory: Before the war began, Ace was built by Dalgram primarily to be an assistant.
Character Sheet Made:
https://ddb.ac/characters/17814533/jmATZy
Uncommon Magic item is Goggles of Night
Spent most of the gold to have purchased and crafted a Pepperbox and a fair amount of ammunition for it.
Daverro would be more of a technological-based society than Sarroka. Think of Daverro basing their technology on mechanical engineering & magic, whilst Sarroka is more a traditional fairy tale magical progression.

Name: Kaed
Race: Human (Variant)
Class: Wizard (War Mage)
Background: Criminal/Spy
Ability Scores: see above
Alignment: CN
Faith:

Wish: It would change on a daily basis but would revolve around the concept of acquiring great power and using it in a fairly selfish but generally good way. Save the kingdom and become the king type goals, not just save the kingdom.
Fear: Going back to prison
Trinket: 91 a gold monocle frame without the lens?
Nationality: Sarroka
Nation Views: Spent the entire conflict in prison in Prospain, had only just arrived back in Sarroka.

Wish: destroy his patron
Fear: succumbing to darkness

Stakes: Seeking redemption
Family Member: Lilenar Silverleaf (maternal elven grandfather)
Backstory: lived with elven mother and human family before the war, when the Green Army attacked village he made a pact with demon lord to defend village, ended up releasing demons which destroyed enemies and villagers alike
Thing of Note: rumor-village destroyed a division of green army. Fact-villagers killed in process
NPC: demon pact giver, imbued essence of the demon into my character. Will DM detail ideas if asked/selected
Alternate/additional NPC: Shalroc, Demon cultist who offered pact to character
Question: Thinking of making either celestial or fiend warlock, what do you have in mind for pantheon/hell/abyss?
Character idea is used elsewhere. If you're intrigued and looking for a backup to fall in, I'd be happy to come up with a new concept.
Name: Yroc Grumbak
Race: Orc
Class: Fighter 1, Warlock 4
Background: Tribe Member
Ability Scores: Ability scores: 6 12 15 12 12 14 15
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Faith: The Tribe of Ancients (Did some research on the Undying, which led to the Undying Court, based off that; an Orc version, neutral/nature aligned)
Favourite Food: Hyena, hide burnt to a nice black crispy coat
Wish: To gain a place among the Tribe of Ancients, to help shape the future of the Orc race
Fear: To become frail and weak, lost to history as if he were but a meaningless Human miller.
Trinket: 71 - A tiny silver icon of a raven
Nationality: Daverro
Nation Views: Initially, the war was a cause for easy raiding as the able-bodied men were pulled away to the front lines, but when the Sarrokan soldiers trod onto their tribal lands their allegiance suddenly aligned with their supposed ruler, and they fought fiercely, not quite in the name of Daverro, but with a common enemy, thus both sides turned a blind eye to their differences.
Lynn-Marie Verine-Wintercleaver, Human Bloodhunter - Adventures in Esyldien
Finan Caible, Human Bard - Joys of Balance
Yroc Grumbak, Orc Fighlock - Pizazz's ToA

Ability scores: 16 12 14 9 12 11 12
Name: Nariah Foolsbane
Race: Half-Elf
Class: Paladin/Warlock
Background: Courtier
Ability Scores: <roll seven stats, 4d6 keep highest 3, drop lowest roll. If you don't like your rolls, put note of using standard array/point buy>
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Faith: Corellon Latherain
Favourite Food: Her father's spiced potatoes
Wish: Another day with her father.
Fear: Meaningless death
Trinket: 94 White Sequined Glove, a gift from Boris
Nationality: Sarroka
Nation Views: Daverro are either blind fools of outright liars for believing their Emperor.
Stakes: My father died that day, I wish to make it so his life had meaning
Family Member: My mother and sister surely are there, I would have made sure they got to the boats.
Coriana - Company of the Grey Chain
Wagner - Dragon Heist: Bards.
DM - The Old Keep
I'm keeping the base idea of the cosmological wheel. Baator (Hell) and the Abyss are there to play with, and we can work on a patron based on if/when the campaign is starting up. Feel free to put in notes about your patron which can be fleshed out in the future.
Thank you, will post character details this evening, EST.
There's plenty of time to amend and change your thoughts if you need. I'll be browsing through the submissions, but not making any decisions properly until I close the recruitment thread. Just edit and update your previous post.

Trinket: 75 trinket
Nationality: Sarroka
Nation Views: They must see that the war is not the end of things but the beginning of a better life. Once we win of course.
Stakes: My two brothers disappeared during the war. One, Pirus, on the battlefield and the other, Golias, a peacemaker was ambushed. I want revenge and bring peace to my parents.
Family Member: Eldin and Gias are my twin sister and her future husband.
Backstory: Shade is a spy.
NPC: Blume "The Iron" Carval. Merchant and nobleman. Under a facade of frivolity and exuberance, he is the shrewd spymaster that has given the crown many of his victories.

Kellen Rivian (Level 12 Lore Bard)- Ghosts of Saltmarsh (cbaer8)
Ruven Gilrel (Level 4 Bladesinger)- The Shattered Obelisk
Name: Sammesh
Race: Dragonborn (brass)
Class: Bard (Lore)
Background: Sailor
Ability Scores: Ability scores: 13 9 14 14 13 15
going with point buy
Alignment: Neutral
Faith: Ancestor worship
Favourite Food: Crabs
Wish: A ship that could sail through the air, or even between the stars
Fear: Dragons. He’s worried he’ll be thought weak, and unworthy of the blood in his veins. That they’ll kill him for mere imitation.
Trinket: 75 trinket a candle that can’t be lit. He has a suspicion that someday, when he proves he’s worthy of his dragon’s breath, he’ll be able to light it
Nationality: Prospain
Nation Views: Sammesh has been making money moving weapons to each country, and smuggling other goods in and out of both sides. He’d rather they didn’t find out.
Stakes: Sammesh is worried he was too busy making money to realize he was profiting from their deaths. He now hopes to make up for his war profiteering by helping where he can
Family Member: his cousins, Daro, and Tellasz.

Paladin - warforged - orange
Name: Ephraim Hornstock
Race: Human (Var)
Class: Wizard (Divination)
Background: Sage
Ability Scores: Ability scores: 13 11 12 15 16 12 12
Alignment: N Good
Faith: Oghma
Favourite Food: Peanuts
Wish: An end to all of this, so he could retire in some damned peace.
Fear: That these dreams he keeps having will never end.
Trinket: 65 A nightcap that, when worn, gives you pleasant dreams (actually fits in with his backstory really well...)
Nationality: Sarroka
Nation Views: Ephraim is old enough to remember way back before the war started, and has many friends in Daverro.
Ready to DM and chew bubblegum. And I'm alllll outta bubblegum.
Kellen Rivian (Level 12 Lore Bard)- Ghosts of Saltmarsh (cbaer8)
Ruven Gilrel (Level 4 Bladesinger)- The Shattered Obelisk
Name: Marius Dragonsoul
Race: Human
Class: Barbarian 3/Druid 2
Background: Acolyte
Ability scores: 10 6 12 7 15 12 14
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Faith: Platinum Dragon
Favourite Food: Root vegetables (he's a vegan)
Wish: Peace across the world
Fear: That there really isn't a Platinum Dragon
Trinket: 79
Nationality: Daverro
Nation Views: Both nations are wayward and in need of discipleship, but he has the idea that Daverro has moved further away from spirituality with their technological advancements and so feels Sarroka is a little more right-minded.
Stakes: 1. I am a missionary sent to minister to the army. 2. This evil must be vanquished.
Family Member: No family; two fellow monks: Amad Soolt and Gristale Freedman
Backstory: All Marius knew until just after the War of the Green began was the Solace of Lendyson monastery.
