Vicros you carefully open the door finding it unlocked as you peek in and around a small corner by the door and see a fairly short man over a stove cooking and humming to himself in gold and red adorned robes.

(Is he alone?)

As far as you can tell he is, seems to be just making something on the stove for the moment. 

Vicros motions to the others that he sees someone and tries to sneak up on the man.

Ezra waits at the door. 

Without entirely realizing it, Ezra’s inner thoughts reach out and speaks to Vicros telepathically. “Be careful. Hard to know if he’s dangerous or just here.”

Can I see what he’s cooking? Perception 17

Nikola waits for something to happen, keeping his lighted shield from pointing into the other room, and casts guidance on himself.

He keeps humming away as you get fairly close behind him, he pauses a few times but you get behind him without incident, what do you do. And Ezra you can tell he's making some sort of mac n cheese. 

Vicros stands behind the man and says "You got enough of what you're cooking for the rest of us?" Vicros will Ready his daggers and will attack with the hilt end just to knock the man, not slash or kill, if he tries to attack Vicros.

The man stiffens up hearing you and turns around slowly as he turns around staring at you after seeing the glimmer of the blade in your hand and puts his hands up not saying anything just staring at you blankly.

"Ok, that's a good start." Vicros says as he points one of the daggers at the man. "Let's continue with your name, what you're doing here and what in the hell is going on here?" Now he points the other dagger at him.. "And I'd appreciate an honest answer."

Intimidation: 16

He sputters for a second "I- I'm just the cook, they wo-ont let you guys out, they'll hurt me worse if i t-tell you." He says shaking a little bit and you see on his arms a lot of small scars and cuts along his arms and a few bruises on his face

Vicros puts away one of the daggers and lowers the other to his side. "Ok, let's try this again. Your name. Who is they? And where are they? We are here to help you but you need to trust us. I don't want them to hurt you again. Please help us, help you and the others."

Persuasion: 14

Hearing the amiable conversation, Nikola comes into the room to listen, shield still glowing. Not wanting to be fooled, Nikola tires to tell if this guy is lying or if he's legit.

Insight, with guidance from earlier, 20

Nikola he seems to be being pretty honest, Vicros in response to you he does relaax a bit but is still very jittery but answers " I'm Adrian, they- they're the ones who own here, they're on the far left room in the corner, I was making their food, I have to finish their food, they hurt me more when im late." He says as a darker look goes on his face and he goes to return to making the food

Bruce frowns upon hearing the man's answer, and glances to "far left room" in the corner that he mentioned. He grips his weapons and tries to peer into the room, if the door is open. If not, he'll walk over and listen closely. 

Perception (if needed): 11

"How many of them are there? Are they armed? If they're responsible for the destruction and torture we've got to stop them." Nikola smiles grimly, "That's what we're here for, isn't it?"

Ezra looks to the others.  "Maybe we can surprise them.  Is there another entrance into that room?"

"Adrian.." Vicros leans in. "How much longer until you have to serve the food? Do they come to get it or do you bring it to them?"

"There's no other entrances I don't think, I just serve it when it's done and if they think I took to long then, th- they hurt me a lot. They have weapons, most of the time there's only a few of them unless there's some event but those don't happen often." He says still focusing on the food
