Virran works the room, carefully investigating whilst pretending to participate in conversation. Besides the set up established by Sildar and another table occupied by Harbin Wester, there is nothing significant here. A cellar, which Sildar indicated acted as holding cells, lay toward the back of the room. The keys, to unlock it, you presume, are those hanging at Harbin's waist.
'Hey lass - welcome back. Potions, ye say? I've got me a handful that turned up in that cart ye brought me. How many yer looking for? 50gp a piece, they are."
@Naivara and Virran
"Iarno's much like me, but, ah... more wizardly? Dark hair, my height and quite thin. Always dressed as you'd expect from a magic user."
“Can I take four off your hands, please? We might just be needing them, as we attempt to rid you of the Redbrands. Anything further you can tell us of them would be welcome knowledge. How many of them do you think there are?”
“Are you familiar with the man Iarno? Can you tell me much about him?”
Barthen hands you four potions in exchange for 200gp. “Iarno ye say? Someone like that passed this way a while back, but he kept moving so far as I know. Didn't meet ‘im, myself.”
(OOC: With a +5 I was hoping to score well enough to squeeze any further insight into what he was saying, if he was the hopeless outsider he described himself as, etc. Doesn;t matter though as the dice failed me)
“Ah, now there's a challenge worth of a dwarf! The enchanted crossbow, not the map! Sadly, I have neither here. But if the Cave is found... well, anything could be possible!”
Naivara thanks Barthen once again and rushes back to the inn. Her keen elven senses tell her that the captive is still being held there. She hands the thug a sheet of paper and a pencil, as she releases his hands and holds her mace threateningly toward him.
“If they haven’t paid up yet, then I will. And there is an extra Gold piece in it for you if you can draw, as best you can, a map of the manor. It’s cellars, it’s secret entrances and where all of these monsters you speak of usually lurk. There’s no way we will find Glasstaff in the same room as the Eyemonster. So, if you really want your life spared and the chance to rebuild, then lead us to him.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Virran moves back into the inn "I assume he gave us information" he remarks nodding towards the redbrand.
"Until after we deal with the rest of them we.can toss him in the townhall calls. In regards to the rest of the redbrands I think we should try and draw some of them out. I'm gonna go have a quick look inside the sleeping giant".
Virran heads back out of the in and stealths to the sleeping giant. When he gets close to the sleeping giant he looks inside to see.if anyone is inside.
Brwb winks at Naivara. Now he's absolutely convinced she has the hots for him. "Thank you lady. And may I say what I great idea to get a map. Why didn't I think of that". Yep. 100% crawler! He slips the potion into his pocket. [OOC: in battle, what's the mechanics of downing a potion???]
You approach the inn, but all is very quiet. Even the regular proprietor seems to have taken leave, obviously expecting today to end poorly. The Sleeping Giant is a ghost town.
LSA is all for going to the hidden entrance and starting there, though it might be good to scout around the ruin and check for other frequented tracks. Perhaps already has I tell on the ruin that might be useful to the party.
While Shawn begins to sketch his amazingly detailed map, how does the party wish to proceed?
[OOC: Heaps has gone on, and we don't yet have Shawn-of-the-undead-Vegan's amazingly detailed map. We need a team de-brief and we need to see the map, otherwise we are tripping over each other or speculating; when the team has knowledge.]
"Ooooo" says BwrbyCognac
"Nice map. We should study this".
Maps are one of the few things Bwrb understands - apart from killing things. That he understands very well. And loves.
[OOC: is anyone keeping look out while SotuV map-makes? There's Vegans in them thar hills!]

Naivara tells Virran she will return as quickly as she can. She walks up past the inn into Barthen’s Provisions.
@DM
“Good day, Barthen! I was wondering how many potions you have in stock here?”
@ Stig
OOC: What insights are you looking for?

"A good start Shawn" Bwrb / Cognac slips the second SP into the lad's pocket. "Did they ever talk of taunting this eye thing with torches?"

“Ok. Thank you. Lady Swiftarrow wanted me to enquire about an enchanted crossbow? Would you happen to know where we might find one?”
“And you wouldn’t know much about the old manor, would you? No one in town would have access to a map of the cellars below, would they?”
“Never. They taunted me, but kept themselves well clear when they could. Whenever they did have to, they said the creature grated against their mind.”

Investigation 24
Naivara throws a potion to Stig, Swift, Brandywise and Asmodean. Each party member now has one for their pocket.

(OOC: Typically potions are an action, but homeBrew rule will allow for potions as a bonus action)
While Shawn begins to sketch his amazingly detailed map, how does the party wish to proceed?
Virran enters the sleeping giant and has a look around for any valuables also anything that can give an idea of who glasstaf is.
Mostly looking in the largest bedroom as well as where the inns money would be kept.
Investigation12
LSA is all for going to the hidden entrance and starting there, though it might be good to scout around the ruin and check for other frequented tracks. Perhaps already has I tell on the ruin that might be useful to the party.
LSA to Shawn: ”it seems I misread what you were saying. The redbrands are clearly a brutal bunch. Ho2 was it you fell in with them?
