The Exploits of Misfit Company

Stella moves silently into the circle of eladrin, keeping on her guard for any magic, and offers Bix a hand up.

"Probably because he was in pain." Kasha blurts. "And yes, you can have fun, but..not at the expense of my friends. Since when do you hurt others, mother??" she asked, her voice beginning to raise.

"We just wanted him to dance the way we were. We weren't trying to hurt him."

Kasha sits down on the floor cross legged, arms across her chest, with a pouty face. She had nothing else to say for the moment. She did, however, take a moment to wave her hand and druidcraft some leaves across her mothers ta ta's and chichi, to make her more "decent".

Alys would take a look around from where she stood, wondering if there was something that seemed ‘off’, besides it being the Feywild. 

Aelisandra doesn't stop you from conjuring up the leaves, but she does kneel down to get to face level. "What's wrong Kashbear? You usually aren't this grumpy."

"Please take us to the Summer Court, mother." was all Kasha had to say.

Aelisandra gets really serious for a second. "The Summer Court? Why would you go there?"

"Because we have a job to do. We're here to collect some feywild essence and we need the Summer Queen's permission to do so." she said flatly. She then looked at her skeptically. "Why WOULDN'T we go there?"

"Because we are primes, and only the mad or the foolish from the plane would ever willingly walk this plane." Bix comments from his position on the ground, ignoring or at least rejecting Stella's offer for the hand up. Odds were pretty split, as he had his eyes closed and mind partially elsewhere. "... Al... can you do me the favor of banishing me from this plane? Or even you, Vastra. In hindsight, I should've not bothered coming in the first place. Not to this... place."

“We have a job to do. We’re sticking together until it’s done.”

"It's not really a job though, now is it now?" Bixby stated tiredly. "More an exchange being made in exchange for a request being done on your behalf." That's when he finally cracked open an eye and to look upon Kasha. "You wouldn't make a compatriot do something against their will now would you? That cannot truly be alright with someone like you."

"I don't yet have the power to travel across planes, but if you no longer wish to participate in this endeavor, we can walk with you back to the portal that we entered through and you can wait for us with Hiatho until we're finished with this task."

"On my behalf?" Kasha said, starting to get annoyed. "Oh, i'm sorry. I thought we were a team, you know - where we stick together through the good AND the bad?"

Bixby raises a brow. "So, instead of answering my question, you decide to try and guilt me instead?" He asked, despite doing the very same. "I see... I suppose I should've expected it that sort of thing by now... To answer your question, that only applied -- as far as I was aware -- with life or death situations. Not some side jaunt that we're not even being paid for except in a -- in hindsight , unnecessary thing." He admits as much.

"Though what really surprises and confuses me that you are even all that concerned about continuing this trek. You didn't seem to care all that much before... in fact, I could've sworn you were confused about us being in that village. But now you're invested in all this?" This he asked, before looking from Vastra to back the way they came. "Hm... That is a good point. Shouldn't be too far, I imagine. Thanks for the reminder, Vastra. I must've been more scrambled then what I figured already." With that, he'll pick himself up, and dusts off his pants.

After hearing whatever the others wish to add, he'll just say nonchalantly, "I'll see you guys back on the otherside, I suppose."

"Very well then. We'll take you back to the portal, since it's far too dangerous here to let any single member of this party travel through this place alone, and you can wait for us to finish. And if you have some grievances that you'd wish to air, we can return home and do that. In private." As Vastra says this, you notice that all the eladrin have stopped dancing and are watching you argue. Aelisandra isn't saying anything, but the expression on her face is making it very clear that you should do this quickly before their mood worsens.

The walk back to the portal goes without encounter. Bixby, when you walk through the portal, make a DC10 Wisdom Saving Throw.

"If you're taking this as me trying to guilt you, instead of reminding you of our pact as brothers and sisters then..then.." she stammered, clearly upset now, "..maybe you don't understand what we're all about. And don't pull that crap on me about me not caring or..being invested. I've stayed around, thick or thin! For ALL the missions. Good AND bad, whether I was invested or not. There were plenty of times we were in danger and our lives were at stake - and I was here, with you all. Yeah, i'm a little absent minded and light hearted, so!?"

She stood there and watched Bix go, seething where she stood. After a few moments, she plopped to the ground again and held her head up with the palms of her hands and her eyes began to water.

Vastra picks up Kasha and brings her into a hug.

Stella purses her lips as Barney rejects the hand, but retreats, knowing that this time, at least (she still isn't sure about the rest), it isn't personal. The rogue watches him go through the portal and moves next to Kasha, giving her a hug of her own as soon as Vastra sets her down.

Obsidian hops up onto Kasha's shoulder and rubs his cheek against her face.

Yvan is only able to shake his head in disappointment at Bix ready to leave the wilds so early into their adventure, seeing him off with a creased brow and a frown. He looks down to the new weeping druid being held by Vastra and decided to kneel down and embrace her as well.
