You quickly make it back to the castle and head to the room in the west wing where the king was mourning over his statuefied mate. When you re-enter the room, you see that the both of them are restored to normal-looking elves, although the king's mate is still a golden statue. The king is actually rather handsome now that he's in his normal state and despite the fact that he's wearing ruined clothes and has clearly neglected to attend to some cosmetic duties, he does have a regal bearing. "You've restored my kingdom, and I thank you for that. Now did you find a way to reverse this petrification effect?"

A delighted hum would escape Alys when Yvan's praise would fill her mind and she'd immediately sink into his affections. Big extra doey eyes would look up at him, beaming in appreciation. Slowly her cheeks would start to darken and she'd bring a hand to her mouth, trying to stifle some giggles. The elf's eyes would soften apologetically. "I'm really high…" She'd snort some more before burrying her face in his furs. It had been a while since she smoked like that. With a little gasp, she'd realize she was still very exposed. With quiet noises, she'd shuffle to untie her cloak from her waist, pulling it back over her shoulders to cover herself.
As the wizard was escorted back through to the village, she was reminded of the healing that would come with the shock. Alys was empathetic of the effects the whole time, but still seeing it upfront was a sobering sight none the less. I'm starting to learn that that's the one thing about mischief,She'd finally respond to Yvan's question after some thought. I don't think we can guarantee anything. But we can have faith in what we did was right. I believe we can take comfort in our honest effort.
Inhaling a deep breath, Alys would begin to hum. As they stepped through the city, she'd sing a warm calming melody from her memory, one with no words. It was a lullaby her mom would sing to her when the young elf was filled with anxiety. She'd pour her sincere sorrow for the loss felt, but even more so, she'd build up to the acceptance and focus on the hope of moving forward. Not all was lost to the darkness, there was light ahead. Alys sang in effort to try to calm and bring some comfort to those in all states of distress as they pass through to the king.
Finally, when they were addressed by the king, Alys would. "We have." She'd hold up the gem, presenting it to the king. "Would you like to do the honours of restoring your beloved?"
Rather than set him more at ease, not that it had been the intention in the first, Alys song left the artificer only more guilt ridden, and by extension ill at ease in the city. Thankfully, or as far as he was concerned, the visor he wore offered a measure of self comfort, least his own feelings proved any more infectious. When at least before the King, Courage would not volunteer an answer. Rather, he folded his hands behind his back, having faith either Alys or the others could handle breaking the news. That and... certain things were not quite right yet for that sort of forwardness on behalf of the group.

The elven king nervously takes the pearl from Alys and presses it against his lover. Almost instantly, the gold begins to peel off like dead skin or an old layer of paint. After a few moments, the gold has completely peeled off, freeing a beautiful elven woman that is quite confused about her current circumstances. The king instantly rushes towards her and wraps her in an embrace. They share a moment before the king turns back to you, tears in his eyes. "You've saved me, my kingdom, and the love of my life. "Well..." Stella slips to the front of the group with a wry smile. "We kind of need your crown to save the world. We'll bring it back after if we can," she adds quickly.
"That is, uh, putting it a touch indelicately." Courage somewhat grudgingly chimes in with a chuckle, before with a hand at his chest and partway at the waist, bows to the king. "But what she says is not untrue. I know not the extent of events in the past that you are aware of, but... the seal and the dracolich... and... oh dear... how did the rest of that go."The tiefling trails off there scratching his head, both suddenly regretting speaking up and... a few other things as well. At the reunion of the king and his partner, Yvan couldn't help but watch when a softened gaze and a small smile, glad to have helped them in more ways than one. Though, he does bring his attention elsewhere after a minute as to give them their moment privacy.
When asked of payment, the goliath glances over to Stella when she answers, then to Courage when he speaks up. "If we need to explain the situation in detail to you, we can," Yvan continues after Courage, wishing he had the priestess write that formal document for the king. Had he asked for an explanation, he decides to be the one to do it, sparing no details as to add to the severity of the situation.

Once the crown is handed over, Courage cannot help but slip back the visor and take a closer look. If he too felt its power without even touching it, then there's a long, low whistle from the Tiefling. Heck, he might do so either way, just from the design of it alone. In a glance back to the king, the tiefling awkwardly and hurriedly dipped his head in apologetic bow. "Needless to say, we'll do everything within our power to see this done."There's then a pause, before he adds with a chuckling, "Stopping, uh, Turokkin. In, uh.. in case it wasn't, uhm... well, you get it."
He then claps his hands together and gives them a good rub against one another while turning to the party. "Well then! Shall we be off, then? After letting you know who, uhm, about the results of all this." Courage looks specifically at Alys after that last suggestion.
Yvan feels a great sense of responsibility once he is given the crown, it's power tingling through his fingertips. "This needs to be kept safe..." He murmurs quietly to himself before looking back to the king and giving him a deep bow. "Thank you, your, em, majesty." He raises his head once more. "Again, if possible to return the crown, we shall."
His attention is then brought onto Courage when he claps his heads, nodding at his words in agreeance. "I think they'll be pleased to know that the kingdom has been restored and the crown has been secured." Forest green hues glance down to the crown that still remains in his hands just before leaning over to Alys and quietly whispering. "Do you have a bag to put this in? Alys would smile warmly, beaming with pride when she, along with the rest of the group, witness Yvan being handed over the crown. Indeed, it in fact radiated with power as well as beauty and elegance. The selfish thought of wanting to wear it herself passed through her mind, causing her to curl herself in a bit of shame. Redness was rising to her cheeks when Courage's look caught her. "Y-yes... Of course." She'd nod.
When Yvan would lean in to whisper his question, Alys would pause to look up. Her face would flush a little from the tease faster than the guilty giggle would leave her lips. "Ummmm..." She'd start to think. It really was a fair question! The elf would nip her lip in thought for a moment before she makes an expression as if she got an idea. "Oh!" She'd shift a little and glance down at her feet before looking back up at Yvan a bit sheepishly. "I have an idea from some old scrolls..." The wizard would pat her nose. "Maybe... Uh... Hmm..." A few thoughtful noises would leave her. She'd wiggle her nose. "Collaboration is needed... I don't think I'm smart enough for this one on my own... Or maybe I'm just over thinking it..." She glance expectantly over to Courage and Vastra. "I need mentor brains!" Her dimple would poke into her cheek as she'd return her eyes to Yvan to give a hopeful smile. "Heh."
Courage frowns and raises a brow up at Yvan. "I don't think we're talking about the same person." He admits as the Goliath considered the crown in hand, or started to, in any event. At least Alys seemed to get his meaning, eliciting a half smile at first, followed by a slight canting of the head to the side at the blush. Confused, Courage glanced back at a shoulder riding Souperb as if seeking answers, only to get a casual shrug from the entity. At that point he glares looked to be formulating some type of mean spirited plan.
"Ah-wha-wut now?" Courage snaps back to attention, and looked between Vastra and Alys. "... Eh, uh... I mean.. uh.. sure, I, uh.. suppose. In fact! Uhm... Here. Mine as well hold onto it as well, just in case."In a slight motion Souperb takes the gesture as a command to go rooting around in his backpack pot before producing an auburn bag of holding, and flying over to offer it to Yvan. "Way I see it. Folk would have a far harder time prying it from you then an old one armed tiefling."Courage says with a chuckle. He inquires to the others, then quietly adds in. "Then we should let Father Tarkus know we were able to obtain the crown."
When the bag is given to him, he gives it a quick look over, then glances with the shying away Alys. After a thought, he wraps an arm around her and tucks her to his side in hopes to comfort her as he speaks. "I think... she meant she wanted help with casting a spell.
