As a bonus action, part of the Belker goes gaseous and attempts to enter Barnabus through his nose and mouth. Give me a DC17 Con Save.

Through agonizing pain Barnabus finds a center of calm for a fleeting moment. Within it, he focuses all of it out and towards the creature in a voiceless screech into whatever amounted to a mind for it.

Action: Expending 1 Sorcery Point to 'Subtle' Cast (2nd level)Dissonance(Wis 14), inflicting 13 Psychic damage, and cause target to immediately spend reaction moving away; half as much on successful save and remain in place.

Yvan attempts to help finish of the last Belker with two (hopefully) mighty hits with the aid of Obsidian and Hoodini!

Alys puts out a hand and wiggles her fingers to prepare to toss a heal out to anyone who's suffered a strong hit. She figures between B and Yvan, the last angry smoker should be down.

Failing to notice the remaining Belker until B coughs it back up, Alys will call a Mind Spike down on it. She'd follow up with a Healing Word to send Stella a baby heal.

The last Belker is dead, the room is now clear of smoke as both of them dissipate into nothingness. Which way shall you go now? Forward to the locked door or down the stairs into darkness?

Stella looks at the door. "That seems pretty promising. Might be a princess behind there, yes?"

"Like, yea." Drift coughs up the last remnants of smoke. "Good guess, anyways. Unless he like, decided to go against the norms, and kept her in the basement... whoa.. now that's a trip thought." He kind of spaces out for a moment, but came back mercifully quick. So quick in fact, that he staggered around as if struck by something. "Oh! Before we go popping it open, do we like, wanna see if there's magic on it? If not, Stelz should totally give it a crack."

“I can help with that,” Yvan mentions idly, hefting his axe on his back before approaching the door. With a breath, he casts Detect Magic. 

Alys will provide Stella with guidance should she make an attempt at cracking the lock. 

Stella does indeed take a crack at the lock!

Thieves Tools: 9+3

Your fingers expertly manipulate the thieves' tools and the lock is picked in seconds. It appears that youthful delinquency is good for learning some tricks. The door opens to reveal a lavish bedroom with a single occupant, a beautiful Genasi woman in royals clothing. She eyes each of you thoroughly and while for a brief moment there is a flicker of shock as she notices the unusual assortment of individuals who have just broken into the room that she's been occupied, it's quickly replaced by the composed and regal expression that those of the upper class tend to wear. "I take it that you must be here to rescue me, since Kroll would never think to staff his armies with outsiders." 

"We take it you're the Princess in need of rescuing since you're locked in a room and are wearing royals clothing?" Alys would blurt, but would keep an eye out for any shifty shifty business.

(So shifty, I wrote it twice.)

"That would be correct. I am Princess Elysia Majistra, Princess of the Djinni, and next in line to rule the Elemental Plane of Air. I do not know what brings you here from your home, but if you're here, my father must have told you how Kroll kidnapped me in an attempt to marry me and become king of this Plane and sent you here to rescue me."

"I mean, like... huh? Yea. Guess we are, and I guess he did. I mean, not really guess considering what led us to this point, but fairly close." Drift slides up, a flamboyant bow. "The name's Drift, and we are the Misfits, at your service." He comes out of it showing a sleepy grin. "I can see why Kroll took an interest in you. 'cause like, positions aside, you're totally radiating this... I dunno... Like, if ever one needed a reason to scale the highest of heavens, you would be more than enough." Drift nods as if he said something wise, and then starts for a second.

"That reminds me. We still need to take care of Kroll, least he come kidnap you again. You good for now, or do you, like, wanna come and maybe give'm a piece of your mind. It'd be dangerous, of course, but like, I don't want to keep you cooped up here, and suggesting you sit tight in one of our bag of holdings just doesn't seem right." 

"Are you...flirting with me right now? Never mind that. Obviously Kroll has to be taken care of. I am unarmed and I possess very little in the way of combat magic, none of which would be effective in fighting Kroll. But I can offer you two things. The first is someone who can fight with you in my stead." Her eyes glow as she says something in Primordial and in moments an air elemental appears. "The second thing that I can give you is knowledge. If you exit this room and take the path going to the right, the staircase will take you to a storage room. Follow it and you'll find an ancient blade with great power and a valuable treasure that Kroll must not possess and would be greatly pained if it were to be taken from him. I myself will remain here, rather than risk being attacked in an escape attempt."

Stella flicks Drift lightly on the arm. "Drift, snap out of it, we have work to do." She inclines her head to the princess. "Thank you, Princess, for both the information and the ally. We'll be back shortly, I expect."

Obsidian jumps down from Stella's shoulder and sniffs at the elemental curiously, then holds his face just close enough to the elemental that its wind ruffles his fur, purring.
