Sorrin returns her gaze, then provides a smirk, "Fast it is then~", and as if on cue, a new song starts up. Sorrin laughs, and gives Aless a wink, "Love this song. Hope you know how to swing~" Sorrin leads Aless into the first few verses of the song, swing fast and hard, even throwing a few long spins for the fun of it, before breaking off from her a for a little so she could show off her own moves. He himself, however, didn't let up and laughed as he enjoyed the moving of his body to the song, eventually navigating back to Aless to join with her again where the song allowed it.
The woman Victor had chosen wasn't as interesting of a conversationalist as the members of his Coterie were (no human was, to be honest) but she still kept Victor's attention so that he didn't get bored. He found out that she was the owner of a nice little adult store in Denver and that they're having a Valentine's Day sale soon. Victor then made a mental note to pay a visit to the store during the sale. In terms of dancing, she proved to be an adept partner, although he did have to hold back, but once again, that was usual with mortals. Every so often, he glanced over to Alessandra and Sorrin, happy that they were also having fun. He hoped that Alana and Misha were having fun back at the hotel.

The Jazz Era was one of the era's Alessandra had missed when she was staked to the heart. When being caught up to speed with the times that had passed, she found jazz to be one of the genres she genuinely enjoyed (even liking the electro versions of today as well), and when Harold came into her life, he taught her how to swing. To say she didn't love the style of dance would be an understatement.
Despite the restrictions her skirt caused her, she managed well and kept up with Sorrin with little to no difficulty, a smile more than apparent on her face as he spun her, twirled her, and guided her in a smooth effortless arc (the crowd having even momentarily circled around them to watch their dancing), all in the beat of the music. She wasn't shy when she was left to dance on her own, even at one point staring daggers at one man who tried to put his hands on her. He was quickly shut down and backed up and she returned to enjoying herself until the song allowed them to be brought back together again.
When the circle had dissipated and the dance floor soon grew more crowded, it got harder for them to dance as they had, but she kept herself close to Sorrin, and her eyes out for Victor, just to make sure he was doing alright himself, which it seemed to be so. With a breath and her arms resting on her shoulders, Alessandra looks up to Sorrin with a smirk. "Color me impressed, Mister Dracova, you are quite the swing dancer~"

Sorrin returned the smirk, "Why thank you milady. You've got quiet the fire in your step as well~ Where did you learn to swing?" With the pace of song slowing down a tad bit, Sorrin moves his hand down to Alessandra's hips for a slower style of just rocking around while they talk.
Victor tells his partner that he'll be back in a few moments as he heads over to the DJ and pulls out some bills from his wallet, obviously making a request that he play a new song. Shortly afterwards, the jazz fades out in favor of a quicker paced rock song, as Queen's Brighton Rock begins playing in the club.

“Take a wiiild guess,” Alessandra jests, smiling as she speaks. Despite the change in music, she keeps her arms rested at his shoulders as it would be easier to hear her explanation. “Harold did. He was raised around that era, so, of course when he heard of my... unfortunate missing of it, he had to teach me of the ‘Roaring 20’s’, or so they call it.” She gives a little one shouldered shrug. “I’ve missed many great things it seems... But it is what it is. How about you? Did they have jazz in... what was it you were from again? Romania?”

Sprrim chuckled and didn't move either, "We did, though it was a tad more formal. We only ever did swing in my village or when my platoon went out to celebrate....the music was terrible back then, but the company more than made up for it.....very much like now, no?~" He chuckled, and then stared at Aless….yet not really. More accurately, he seemed lost in his memories for a moment. However, this only lasted for a few seconds before he blinked out of it and smiled at Aless, "Apologies, thinking back made me a tad nostalgic....things seem so much happier once they're over don't they...."
Alessandra knew that nostalgic look well. It was one she often wore when by herself, left for her thoughts to cloud her mind of her time long past. It had been ages, yet... she remembers everything as if it were yesterday, only making it hurt all the more. Upon hearing his apology, she softly smiles up at him and shakes her head. "There's no need to apologize, my dear, it's hard not to reminisce of the past... Though, it is true that your memories tend to be happier when all is said and done." She pauses, thinking back on her trek up Mount Celestia, and how,, despite the weight behind that moment when it was happening, it still came to her as a happy one. "... Is there someone you miss from your past that you still think of today?"

Sorrin smiles softly at Aless's question, "Everyone....." He turns his head to look at the sea of people that surround them, "I miss the children that ran down the river of the base I worked. The baker who often gave me burnt bread to take home...." For a moment he closes his eyes, as if savoring the moment and memory, "I miss the sounds of laugher of my comrade's from when their our mate's clothes were washed pink by his brother's red scarf....." He opens his eyes again and looks back to Alessandra, "I miss the everyone, because I know I can never see them again..." He bops his forehead against Aless's due to their closeness and looks down towards his own heart, "Even if I died now, I know that they will not be at the place that I find myself....such is out curse no? To forever be separated from those we hold dear?.....Alessandra......do you believe God hates us?" Sorrin's gaze looks back up to lock eyes with Alessandra, a deep sadness and even mild desperation that she had never seen before lay in his gaze.
The question itself was an innocent one, and she hadn't anticipated to garner quite the reaction from Sorrin. Her smile had faded when she listened to him answer her inquiry, his tone of voice different from his normal carefree and whimsical tone. It sounded wistful, almost homesick, and it physically hurt her to hear his voice that way. What really had been the second stake to the heart though was the look he gave her now. When white hues met sorrow filled grey eyes, she was hit with the grief that he had been holding back for so long, and Alessandra wanted nothing more than to help rid him of the emotion.
But there was nothing she could do. It was the curse of their kind, and they had to carry it on their backs each moment of everyday.
Her hands tentatively slid themselves up his neck, now cupping the sides of his face while her thumbs gently caressed his cheeks at an attempt to comfort him in some way. The question left her stumped, and she was quiet until she finally broke the silence to answer, but he could easily hear her voice full of uncertainty. "I cannot see why he would hate those of us who never asked for this curse in the first place... Yet I am not him... I'm sorry, Sorrin... but I do not know."

Sorrin let's the music fade into the background during the silence between his words and Alessandra's. Upon hearing her answer, he let out a small sigh. Though if it was off relief or disappointment....even he wasn't sure.
He closed his eyes and move a hand from Alessandra's hips to one over her hands, holding it as she held his cheek for a moment. Moving her hand, he then placed a kiss on her knuckles and smiled hus usual smile at her.
"Thank you milady...if you don't mind, I think I'll go have myself a drink....why not go see how Victor fares? I'm sure he'd be happy to speak more with you~" Not waiting for a response, Sorrin gave Alessandra a bow then turned and walk towards the bar.
Again, his tone changed back to its normal sound, but she couldn’t help but feel that it was forced out that way. She watched him walk away from her. She wouldn’t chase after him, even though half of her wanted to, she refrained, and stood there on the dance floor, looking at her knuckles. The kiss burned her skin, the lights of the club got too bright for her tastes, and she finally grew aware of the dancing bodies around her to a point where she felt as if she were suffocating. I need some air, she told herself as began to snake her way through the crowd. I need to leave.
At this moment in time, the club felt like a maze and she were a rat trapped inside it. It didn’t help that people would stop her for conversation, but she turned each one down, not wanting to talk anymore, busy trying so desperately to get out.
It felt like hours when she finally found some sort of exit, and the breath of fresh air collecting in her lungs felt so refreshing when she stepped out. The night air was cool against her skin, and she didn’t know where her legs were taking her as she kept walking down the alleyway she found herself in, but she knew she needed to get far away from here, even if for a few hours.
A text would be sent to their little group chat about ten minutes after her exit, a simple, I’ll meet you guys back at the hotel. Don’t look for me. Please.

When Victor saw Sorrin head to the bar, he was about to dismiss his partner and have a dance with Alessandra. Then he saw her suddenly leave the club. He dismissed his partner anyway and was in the process of collecting Sorrin and paying the tab when he got the text from her. He pulled out his phone and sent her a quick response. "Okay. Just please get back before sunrise and don't get yourself killed. Misha would kick my ass if something happened to you while you were out. I love you."
Victor called up an Uber and set a course for the hotel. He collects Sorrin and gets him in the car. "Did you say something to her that got her upset?"
Sorrin was originally brooding out the window, but upon hearing Victor's question, sighs, "....in a way...we were talking about our pasts....I should likely apologize for dredging up bad memories shouldn't I..." It sounded like a question, but it didn't seem directed at Victor.
"Do it when she gets back to the hotel." He replies, before taking a moment to come up with the right words for what he wants to say next. "This is why I don't talk to you guys about your pasts. It never ends happily and I don't like seeing you guys get upset."
