“Out of all the ******* people we could’ve gone under with, had to be with that lunatic,” Olivia grumbles as she braid her hair to the side, having showered and changed a few minutes prior to Gabriella joining them. She straightens out her jacket before looking to Adelino. “Alright, I think we’re all ready. Fill us in, will you?”

CHAPTER ONE - A DARK AND STORMY NIGHT SCENE THREE - A MISSION FROM GOD
Adelino drags the mortal vessels back to their cells. He leads you out of the area, along a corridor, and up a set of stairs into a main warehouse area. Passing stacks of crates and shelves piled high with various cardboard and plastic containers, you go through another door, an up some more stairs leading into a hallway.
You are led into a personal office. The rectangular room has a large desk at one narrow end, and bookcases line the wall opposite. The entrance into the room sits in the middle of one of the longer walls, and the opposite wall is broken by a continuous row of narrow windows placed just above head height. Lateral Venetian style blinds on the inside of each window reveal a limited view of the night's sky. The interior decoration of the room is mostly brown and drab, hailing from a decade unknown to you. The desk is a sturdy construction of mahogany. Several chairs are arrayed in front of it, and a chocolate brown leather sofa is pushed back against the wall to one side.
A Persian Iranian man is seated behind the desk in a plush brown leather office chair and immediately jumps to his feet as you all enter. Another Caucasian man in a denim jacket and with stringy blonde hair is standing to the side of the desk, giving you all an appraising look as you enter. Adelino leaves, bowing.
"It is such a pleasure to meet you all. I am Shirazi." the man says, genuinely. He gestures to the Caucasian. "This is my associate, Mickey. We are all members of the Mithriac cult. Please. Sit."
Ryder paused for a moment before taking a seat calmly, clearing his throat slightly, feeling slightly more relaxed than earlier. "Ryder Evan's at your service."

Gabriella tightened and rolled her eyes - was about to retort at Olivia's mockery, or better yet strangle her with the Abyss in the most painful manner, but composed herself, recognizing they were a team, she had a point, and the little ***** would get what was coming to her soon enough if she kept that crap up. Gabi had been asleep a long time, and the urge to murder again was definitely rising.
Shirazi spoke. "Indeed, yes, I shall. You are all in London. The year is 2012. I do, however, have grave news to share. There is a common belief among our kind that Mithras was destroyed by one of the many bombs dropped on London during the Second World War - around the time you went into Torpor. However, the Cult of Mithras secretly knows the true tale: a traitor within the cult turned on our Master and Savior. With your awakening, the other remaining faithful followers of the Mithraic Mysteries now await his prophesied return."
Wits + Insight DV2: ?????
He takes a letter out of his drawer and hands it to you all. This is what it says:
My dear and loyal friends,
I am sure you have many questions, but for the time being I must ask you to be patient. The circumstances around your awakening are clearly unusual, and I apologize for this. Much has changed in the time you have been asleep. I regret to inform you that, most tragically, our Lord and Master Mithras himself was destroyed some years ago. Ungrateful traitors from within his Cult betrayed him to his enemies. The Cult continues however, devoted to his memory and his legacy. Your resting place was lost to us, buried as a result of damage caused to London by a great war between the nations of Europe. It is only through recent circumstance that you have been revealed again, and rightfully returned to us.
You wake on the cusp of a great storm that is about to envelop London in its fury. I, and many others still loyal to our cause, have already retired to other domains far from here to escape its wrath. However, one important task remains, which has been entrusted to you, our only remaining Heralds of the Sun. Artifacts of spiritual value to the Mithraic Cult are still in London. They are kept by those who were once loyal to us, but who have now strayed from the path. Whether they were involved in the conspiracy to murder our Lord is unknown, but they are no longer to be trusted.
- A clay seal, once used by our Lord to mark official documents, left in the possession of Lady Anne Bowesley - A silver ring inset with a ruby, believed to be in the possession of the Tremere Sri Sansa - A bronze dagger of Egyptian style, gifted to the Nosferatu Richard de Worde - A Phrygian cap, once worn by our lord in his original Mithraeum, since claimed by Gwenllian ferch Arwyn
We humbly beseech you to seek these items out and retrieve them before the storm descends. Also take with you the goblet that was used to wake you. Once you have completed your task, call the number 0794 636728 and we will send a team to extract you from London and guide you to safe haven. May good fortune, and the blessings of our Lord and Master, go with you.
Connor reads the note that Thomas sent the Coterie. "Understood. I have one question for you though. If these less then trustworthy individuals prove reluctant to return our relics, are we authorized to do whatever we need to in order to get them back?"
All of you know who Pater Thomas is. (He is the leader of the Cult.)
Shirazi leans forward in his chair. "I would be lying if I told you I was not curious as to what the letter says." he admits. "Despite being versed in the Mithraic Mysteries, I have not been briefed on the letter's contents or the wider plan. I am acquainted with Pater Thomas, however - he inducted me into the Cult almost a decade ago. When he and most of the vampires here in London fled, I chose to remain behind to see you awakened. It is an honor to meet you all."
"Don't worry too much about our jobs, just make sure that extraction is ready when we're through. It's crucial that these us and these relics be out of here before shit hits the fan. And it's an honor to meet you too, Shirazi."

He also takes out a burner cell telephone that you've never seen before in your life, as mobile phones did not exist in the 1940s. Mickey impatiently shows you all how to use it. Pick someone to carry it. And don't lose it. "One last thing." Shirazi says as he takes a card out from his drawer. "Queen Anne is the current Prince of London. CHAPTER ONE - A DARK AND STORMY NIGHT SCENE FOUR - UNWELCOME GUESTS
You see a small flying drone in one of the windows above your heads. Suddenly, an alarm goes off and Mickey and Shirazi startle. Adelino runs into the room and cries, "Operation Antigen! They are here! We must flee!"
Mickey yells, "Get the **** out of here!" as Shirazi scrambles in a panicked manner to collect paperwork and items from his desk into a briefcase.
"The storm!" Shirazi breathes, "They found us! Grab the chalice and leave this place! May Mithras be with you!"
The sound of terrible automatic weapon gunfire can be heard downstairs. The Chalice is nearby on a table, within reach.
From this room, you have three choices: Fire Escape that leads up, the Back Entrance downstairs, or the Front Entrance downstairs.
Connor didn't know what the hell Operation Antigen was, but he heard Shirazi refer to them as the storm and the sound of gunfire hadn't changed so much in 70 years that he couldn't recognized it. He grabbed the chalice and pointed towards the fire escape, not thinking that they should go downstairs, where the gunfire was coming from. "Everyone go up!"
