You could swaer that the octopuss is smiling as it moves a bit away from the crocodile (5ft to increase the distance to 15 ft) before it leashes out at the reprile with his tentackles.
Gnoll reaches out with its tentacles, but falls short as its realising that it is still holding the structural integrity of the area of the bridge it is at.
(For reference, if you go "away" from the crocodile, you will be going under the bridge, which may cause some complications, like should you knock the currently not entire stable supports where the artisans are working)
Trumann / T'vonii / Morduc / Korvek, what do you do?
I misunderstood our positioning a bit there. I will amend my turn by useing bonus action disengade and swim upriver 15 ft behind the croc, wich should be between me and the bridge now.

Trumann steps to the river bank. Says a prayer as he grabs his holy symbol. "My lady, yet another attempts to shorten the life of one who's time is not nigh. Your will protects him."

Trumann Bloth | Loxodon Grave Cleric | War of the Green
Prosinet Fizzlepurtet | Gnome Wizard | The Wilcox Experiment
From his vantage on the bridge, T'vonii starts gathering energies in his armor. Unlike before he doesn't make any specific gestures. Instead energy begins to collect in the gems and runes on each of his gloves. It is chaos contained...sort of.
Reckless Casting:
Potential Spell 1: 2
Potential Spell 2: 8
In his right hand black and purple energy gathers, in his left a similar power. He studies the semi-stable power of the spell before quickly fishing a dagger off his belt. After a moment he decides to unleash the spell building in his hands. A pitch black sphere engulfs him for a brief instant. It disappears, apparently centered on the pommel of his dagger which he now has covered and clutched in his own gloved hand.
((Potentially more after responses to questions in discord))
Trumann releases a bolt of divine energy, it twists and lands in the water, striking the enormous crocodile from behind. (Enormous Crocodile: 11 damage.)
T'vonii temporarily blinds his companions on the shore before concealing the focus of his spell, out of sight.
Morduk understands that crocodiles do not normall grow to this size where he comes from, so this must be a regional variant. However, it is like most beasts. They do not really have much of an elemental affinity or vulnerability, and their scales are fairly thick, aiding against their more deliberate and less agile movement.
(Gnoll, given we've already resolved your turn, you don't get to reap the benefits of Trumann's actions. However, Korvek gets to...)
Korvek reroll:19
The pointed edge flies into the water, its end sticking out as a small pool of red reveals itself. A fine hit! (Enormous Crocodile: 21 damage.)
Happy holidays, players! I know this time of year will be busy for most, including myself. Over the next week or two my posts may be a little less frequent than normal. Hope you have a great time, and we'll be back to the usual frequency in the new year.
(If I'm reading this right, Gnoll is still close enough to the crocodile that Tahia has sneak attack (but not advantage). Rolling sneak attack die separately in case I'm wrong.)
Tahia will use the lance as a sighting point to target the crocodile, letting loose an arrow: Attack: 21 Damage: 6 Sneak Attack: 6
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tahia aims and looses the arrow, striking into the crocodile's thick hide. (Enormous Crocodile: 33 damage)
The enormous crocodile swims quickly to octo-gnoll, snapping with its mouth as it comes down with crushing force.
Bite vs. Gnoll:15 vs. AC. Hit:35 piercing damage, and grappled by the crocodile until escape (DC 15)
(Note: originally the d from the d10 was missing. That would've been drastic damage!)
The enormous crocodile snaps and grabs a heft chunk of octo-gnoll! (Gnoll (giant octopus: 24/52 HP, grappled)
Trumann, T'vonii, Morduc, Gnoll, and Korvek, your turn! I know people will be on holiday posting time, so usual 24 hour limitations are extended for the next week or two.
Still holding the spellbound dagger in his left hand, Tvon'ii make a simple gesture and flicks his wrist of his right hand. Three blue-silver daggers forms and fling themselves at the croc. The whistling bolts of energy swirling and darting around any obstacles to find their mark without err.
Trumann raises his hand as another jet of sparkling energy swings into the waters, striking the enormous crocodile again as it begins to shimmer with divine light. (Enormous Crocodile: 47 damage, granting advantage to next attack this turn.)
T'vonii sprays jets of pale energy that disappear beneath the water. The crocodile is struck by the three rays, each striking with moderate force. (Enormous Crocodile: 57 damage.)
(For reference, Mord can be within 15 ft. of the enormous crocodile, as he can be on the supported bridge by the artisans.)
Gnoll takes advantage of the glowing energies, using the remaining couple of tentacles to counterattack, grappling the enormous crocodile back. As he constricts, he can see blood seep from the many wounds its taken from spells and ranged weaponry from his companions. (Enormous Crocodile: 70 damage.) He then uses the innate mystical energy to recover some energy. (Gnoll: giant octopus 33/52 HP)
Morduc and Korvek, your turn! I know people will be on holiday posting time, so usual 24 hour limitations are extended for the next week or two.
