"Hey now......I'm no thief...I paid for it this time..." also the drinks he brought were whatever passes for upscale here not Baldur's Bathwater or whatever it was :P
Looking to Alea Pogo nods, "Indeed I do! You don't sail the seas as long as I have without encountering those bastards. But those cowards never could stop my crew." Turning back to the bar he places a few copper down to order another drink and gives Alea a solemn look. "It's when they target someone else and you arrive too late... They don't just steal goods they destroy lives and as a disciple of Lliira I can't tolerate their behavior."
He takes a drink and gives himself a hearty smack across the face before a smile returns to his face, a forced smile but still a smile "Sorry my friend I fear pirates bring out the worse in me, I must remember to be a beacon of joy for my goddess and I'm glad to have an ally against this filth"
Alea looked at Pogo and gave him a solemn look as she had a bit of an understanding of what he meant "I get what you mean, as someone who's lived in baldur's gate for a while I've seen my fair share of lifes taken... it's why I'm glad we'll be dealing with a murderous cult after this"

"I found her once....I can find her again." Arrow says through mouthfuls of stew. "and if not, Khaffosi can be quite....persuasive when he needs to be."
So it seemed it was decided then. They'd relieve some murderous pirates from the burden of living in exchange for information on murderous cultists that they would kill afterwards. Quite reasonable, the wizard thought to himself, but at this point he would have done anything to get the Flaming Fist of his back. "On the bright side of things, we won't be holding any moral debates on whether they deserve to die or not.", he announced to Pogo and Alea.
After eating and drinking, Khaffosi pulls a whetstone out of his pack and starts trying to remove the nick in the blade of his greataxe. His color goes from ashen gray to flustered red as he grumbles, "I hate waiting."
But waited they did. The tavern continued its loud and rambunctious conversations, a few applauding on Arrow's well performed rendition of the elfsong. A couple of patrons leave, only to be replaced by other drunkards arriving to get more ale from a new venue. Occasionally there is a sighting of a rat or two finding their way across the floor, stealing crumbs before disappearing into cracks between the panels on the wall; the staff seem to give them no mind.
After another thirty minutes of waiting eight motley humans saunter into the tavern. The leader is a brawny man with a cloudy right eye, a cruel sneer, and a pirate’s swagger. The others are an unsavory, rowdy bunch who act as if they own the place.
“We’re looking for an old friend of ours,” says the dead-eyed man. He sniffs the air. “Goes by the name ‘Tarina,’ or so I’m told. Loves to cheat at Baldur’s Bones.” He gestures to the room, the swagger still in his stride. "A round of the house's finest to the table that can show me to her!"
At this notion a few of the tables start looking at one another, a couple calling out. "I'll tell ya," "Drink first!" "They don't know shit, I'll let ya know."
Hunferho asks the bartender Alan more about the song they heard earlier. (In particular, he'd like to know about "Elturel" (is that a person or place?), "Hellriders", and why would cloven feet be trampling the lands of Elturel?)
(After this encounter is over, I'll ask if Alan said anything more about the song, during the 30 minutes waiting for the pirates.)
Since Khaffosi's grumbling could be heard all the way downstairs, Hunferho will send him a Message when the pirates arrive. "Eight unhygienic humans are asking for Tarina. Leader has a dead eye. Sending upstairs."
Hunferho will turn to the leader. "My good man, surely you can offer more than a mere tankard of beverage in return for valuable information about Tarina?" Hunferho will "unconsciously" glance up the stairs when he says Tarina.
(OOC: I figure this guy will be suspicious if he is told to go upstairs. If Dead-Eye thinks he has figured out that she is upstairs, without paying Hunferho, he is more likely to relax and get cocky.)

Khaffosi gently-but-not-gently kicks Arrow to action, "Get ready. The bard is talking in my head again. Dead-eye is here."
Khaffosi will drag Arrow to the wall next to the stairs (3 squares up from the little couch) and mock pin his head to the wall with the greataxe, then start yelling loudly, "Blasted cheater! I'm onto your loaded dice. Give me my coin back!"
Alea sat by and watched trying to distance herself from the scene and appear uninterested in dead eye at the moment so she begins to drink up a conversation with Pogo “things must be bad if they’re declaring martial law” she said giving Pogo a look hoping he understood what she was trying to do

Somehow Axandros was gald as Dead-eye and his goons entered the tavern because whatever happened now promised at least progress, one way or another. He stayed close to Alea and Pogo and watched as the situation unfolded. "This should be interesting.", he whispered to them both.
With a clenched jaw Pogo resisted the urge to punch Dead-eye on sight, and hearing the two bounty hunters shouting from upstairs he relaxed a little as he had an idea of what his cohorts might be planning. "Oh yes, I've heard from a few people that it was a tragic event from top to bottom." He replies to Alea as he waits for the right moment.
Alea shacks her head as she listened and let out a sigh a frown forming on her face “as know, I sure hope that they get it all sorted it out soon” she said keeping an eye on dead eye to make sure he didn’t get away and to keep a tab on him

Dead-Eye's face looks towards Arrow's outburst, the pirate striding towards the pair, his cronies flanking either side of the man. He glares with his good left eye, his cloudy right one being impossible to tell which way it is looking. "Yer not the only one who's been cheated of coin by that harlot." He says. "I am sure there can be an accord, and you can get yer cheated coin back from her."
