"As long as you don't threaten people who could kill us, be my guest.", he said to Khaffosi. "Let's find out what this Tarina person know. With a bit of look we will be on the cults doorstep before we know it." Zodge mentioned that the informant had dangerous friends, and the wizards wondered who that might be. He didn't like to stumble from one situation to another without perfect information or a plan to follow through. For the time being though, Axandros had no choice but to adept and improvise.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Pogo pats Arrow on the shoulder with a meaty hand and cast cure wounds 13"Maybe we shouldn't be bleeding when we meet the captain's contact, it might not inspire confidence"
The soothing energies of powerful healing magic wash over the wound on Arrow's chest, the puncture to his innards knitting back together, albeit with some dried blood left on his chest.
Upon turning the corner, the party see a two-storey thatched roof building, large and elegantly built. It stands separate from most of the other buildings in this street, the architecture very different, a place of history. Entering the tavern, the group notes there is an assortment of patrons. Immediately upon entering the group spots two figures flanking the entrance, one clad head to toe in plate armour, and a giant of a woman, towering over the party. She eyes the party, her face that seems to have seen several punches over the years discerning whether the party are going to cause trouble for her or not. The other figure is harder to read, given the helm's visor is fully down.
Four large wooden round tables populate the taproom, as well as some private booths off to one side. Behind the bar is a half-elven man in his mid years, leaning lazily by the end of the bar. About a two dozen or so patrons already populate the room, including one half-orc passed out on a couch against the far wall, beside which lies an old sea chest. The bustle of a populated tavern begins again after the group has been eyed by several tables, the laughing of a couple of halflings as they take a pot of silver coins after placing some cards down on the table.
The group sees a pair of young human men carrying serving trays navigating the room, picking up emptied tankards and placing new ones at certain tables, collecting coppers and the occasional silver as they work, seemingly unbothered by the musky scent of unwashed patrons mixed with copious amounts of alcohol.
Axandros didn't normally frequent such taverns. The noise, the odour and the occasional violence were all contributing to the disdain he felt for such places. As he went through the main entrance he was quickly validated in his feelings once again. The wizard swallowed his pride though, given the fact that this etablissment accommodated the only real lead Captain Zodge provided them in search of those wretched cultists. Axandros, mostly ignoring the dealings in the taproom, went straight for the half-elf behind the bar and seated himself on an open barstool near the barkeep. "Good day, Sir.", he greeted him. "I'd like a tankard of your ale and...", he hesitated for a second before deciding to address this matter head on, "...and I'd like to ask for the whereabouts of a friend. Her name is Tarina and she should be waiting here somewhere in this fine establishment." The wizard hoped he would get the information without raising to much of a fuss, but if necessary his new companions seemed to excel on creating 'fuss'.
"Sir seems a bit fancy." The barkeep replies back to Axandros. "I go by Alan, Alan Alyth." He walks over towards a tap to let the brown murky liquid of questionable origin flow into a freshly cleaned pewter tankard. "We get a lot of name and faces that frequent here. As long as you don't cause problems for me or my team, then feel free to ask around for her." Now that the group has wandered in, it becomes apparent there is an old wooden spiral staircase around the corner from the entrance, over to the right hand side, that leads up to the next floor. There are also a few doors that lead out of the room, one by the bar, one near the sofa & chest, and a third by a fireplace, on the far right wall. Three padded chairs are setup by the fireplace, the doorway between the fireplace and the staircase. Alan returns with the ale. "This bitter's 3 copper a pint." He says, placing it on the counter. "Feel free to grab a table."
There is some jeering and cheering from one of the tables, apparently the card game is getting towards its finale. A snooty looking halfling scoffs as he pulls his colourful cloak around himself and secludes himself back into a private booth.
Khaffosi looks at Axandros while shaking his head. Leaning in, he says, "You wouldn't make a good living finding people if that's all you got." Khaffosi signals to Alan to pour a tankard then turns to the room and bellows, "A tankard of Alan's bitter for the first person to point me to Tarina!"
Arrow will look around the tavern to see if he recognizes anyone - perhaps a contact or a snitch he's worked with before while Khaffosi does what he does best.....and loudly.
Alea looked over at Khaffosi and for the first time she smiled a bit at him, even she has to admit that was clever, even if a bit to loud. Her smile faded as she looked over at the human clad in plate armor, she wondered who this heavily armored figure was I’m such a tavern
Khaffosi ... bellows, "A tankard of Alan's bitter for the first person to point me to Tarina!"
Hunferho looks quickly around the room. People usually react when their name is said loudly, or try to look inconspicuous when they realize a fierce-appearing stranger is looking for them.
Insight: 4 (If this is Perception, that would be a 1. I guess Hunferho is too surprised that an outhouse with tables can be considered a tavern.)

Khaffosi, please make a Charisma (Persuasion) check, this is to see how well you attract the attention of the boisterous patrons.
As Alea looked at the human she wondered just how corrupt this person was, or if they where actually honorable and stead fast, and using her experience she had a good idea of what to notice
Baldur’s Gate Feature: Loyalty Test
You’ve had enough dealings with crooked soldiers that you can spot the behaviors common to corrupt guards and military officers a mile away. While awareness of such corruption doesn’t equate to evidence of it, and your sense certainly isn’t foolproof, your instinct proves a useful starting point when determining who might take a bribe, who might turn a blind eye to a crime, or who might have criminal connections. You can also use this sense to get a feeling about who might fulfill their duties strictly by the book.

The promise of a 3 copper drink isn't too enticing to the crowd, perhaps if offered something more fancy they would be more willing.
"Ya know what," A woman with perhaps Calashite descent (a land south of Baldur's Gate, warm and desert-covered) wearing a dark blue robe with handstitched stars patterned around the shoulders beckons the man over. "Perhaps I will take you up on your offer, if you also play a little game with me." She gestures to the chest by the couch with the unconscious half-orc snoring on it. "Pick a game, let's have a bit of pleasure before your business."
Well, that was exactly the fuss Axandros was thinking about. Grabbing everyones attention without getting them one step closer to their actual goal. "Your expertise is remarkable.", he muttered towards Khaffosi before turning again to the Barkeeper. "Where would I find your regulars, friend? Maybe they could help me find her." The wizard was almost certain that Tarina would have been one of the regulars, since Captain Zodge confidently told them they could find her in this tavern.
Khaffosi pays the barkeep for the tankard and looks at the others, shrugging his shoulders, "Happens all the time. Lady over there wants a bit of pleasure." Khaffosi walks away from the group and places the tankard in front her. "What games can I pick from?"
Like water through the roots of a mangrove tree, Arrow flows around the common room still looking for any known contacts he may have in here that could be of help, while also keeping an eye on Khaffosi because taverns are not the safest place to be in Baldur's Gate.
Alan gestures to the crowd. "They're right there." He says. "Course, there's some who use the private rooms, they don't like to be disturbed." He nods to the two young human men going around the room, collecting empty tankards. "They might know people better by name."
The woman smiles, "The tradition in town is Baldur's Bones, but there are other games that are in the chest. Cards, dragonchess, amongst others."
Baldur’s Bones.
Baldur’s Bones is a popular dice game in the taverns of Baldur’s Gate. Each player requires several six-sided dice. The rules are as follows:
Each player puts the agreed ante in the pot.
Each player rolls three dice. Play then proceeds clockwise around the table, with the host of the game going last.
On their turn, a player can choose to “stand” or “roll.” If the player stands, the next player can take a turn. A player who rolls takes an additional die and rolls it. If the total of their dice exceeds 21, they “bust” and are out of the game. Otherwise they can keep rolling additional dice until they either stand or break.
After everyone has had a turn, the highest point total (excluding players who busted) wins the game and takes the pot.
Khaffosi tries to kick Arrow's retreating form as he says, "This time, we'll be deputies!"
After Axandros speaks, Khaffosi looks downtrodden, "You mean don't threaten anyone that can kill you. That doesn't leave me with much to threaten..."
Alea let out a sigh as she looked around the group, she choose to stay a bit closer to Hunferno for the timing being
