When Meepo emerges, the elf looks upon the kobold with first dark eyes, and then as he talks, his look becomes one of sadness. FInally he says, "I understand your need for self preservation Kobold. But try to think beyond yourself. If you release the princess, weakened state or no, she is going to escape and the war will begin again. Countless lives will be lost. Just...imagine, if by giving up your life you could save 100,000 people. Would you do it?" He glances at Lionel, "No. I have no desire to see what's on the other side of the door. Curiosity is the worst excuse for such a crime I've ever heard. You should be ashamed of yourself."

"Not going to happen," Lionel rarely felt ashamed and right now was definitely not the case for even questioning his motives or behaviour. "We are here not out of curiosity but to save a friend's life. And don't you start with the guild trips. Your world preyed on the souls of people all over the planes for decades. So, should you miraculously convince Meepo to sacrifice his life, I will personally unleash that Princess on your world and not feel guilty the slightest. But I hope it will not come to this. We are going to fight the Princess, to kill her and rid your world - and the planes! - of her once and for all. If we die trying, pray that your queen will be strong enough to finish the job. Or better yet, think of a way to convince her to join the cause."

Mordekai stands face-to-face with the elf and looks him straight in the eye. "You say that if we release the princess she will escape and resume war. You are not listening to us. You underestimate us. Let me tell you this very plainly. If you let us rest, we will achieve the Princess's eternal demise. Giving up our lives to save 100,000 people? How about giving up your pride to let us end her reign of fear forever? People are still dying to appease this fabricated prison, and your entire civilisation lives in fear of her still. Let us end this all now. We want the same things as you. We just have the faith to act."
Mordekai flinches a little at his own last sentence, never before being one to consider himself one of "the faithful" in any respect. But faith in his companions and in their group's ability to achieve this goal...yes, faith is the correct word.
(Not sure if there's any point in Persuasion checks at this point...I think we've already tried persuasion, and in any case, persuading the scout probably isn't going to achieve much, but still - Persuasion: 18)

Ketch stows his shield on his back, hefts his axe in one hand and drags the blind elf more or less upright with the other. He waits for the others to finishing talking to the elf, asking the elf questions and so forth, studying the elf the whole time to try to gauge his responses and answers.
perception: 9
Once the other are done with the elf Ketch tells their hostage “if you wish to die tell me now and I will make it swift for you. Otherwise the first sign of you hindering us in any, I start chopping pieces off you. Small unnecessary pieces at first, just to make it a long and drawn out process. Lie to us, try to stop us, try to make moving you harder than it need be… pieces chopped. Understood? Do die now or come with us?”
The elf clearly has a lot of thoughts as the group tries to convince him....though its an unusual day when one of Mordekai's speeches falls so flat with his audience. Still, Ketch gives the elf his ultimatum and the elf replies, "What good throwing my life away for no reason. I will come with you, if only in the hopes of bearing witness and surviving to report this folly."
With the blindfolded elf standing by, Lionel takes the three keys and fixes them into place. With an all too quiet 'click', the door pops open. Lionel pushes it wide and looks inside.
A large, circular chamber heavy with the scents of dust and stale air opens up beyond the door. A fifty-foot-high dome of crystal panels forms the ceiling, and tall bookshelves stand perpendicular to the curved wall in six places. The space between each pair of shelves is set with a table, a scribe’s desk, and several chairs, with six tall panes of smoky gray glass hanging on the walls, one in each compartment. At the center of the space, a ritual circle thirty feet across is inscribed into the stone floor. On the floor in the ritual circle are a semicircle of candle stubs, a stack of unused parchment, an inkwell filled with silver-flecked black ink, and a crimson quill.
"hrmpfh elfes guardians of prison we break out queen elfes want stop us before release queen has magic we no magic if queen dumb like skeleton then maybe if not bad idea to release when weak hrmpfh"
"hrmpfh bad elfes for attack when come in portal though hrmpfh"
"We can have spells if we can have rest..." Ketch points out as he shoves the elf somewhere out of the way and then works at closing the doors with the party on the inside.
"Can you do the hut ritual?" he asks Molo. "Targeted so it blocks the doors? I don't know if they could force them in or break them down but maybe, just maybe we can rest and regain our strength first?" ((Do the doors look particularly thick? I don't think they showed as magical so hopefully the army brings no siege engines?))
Turning to Ulthan Ketch suggests "Perhaps you and the cat could give a good search and ensure we are alone here?"
And with that, a pooped Ketch puts his back to the doors and sits... Waiting for whatever disaster strikes next.

"Hrmpfh if arrow fall army here hrmpfh" With that Ulthan will head upstairs with the cat in tow. He'll begin by searching around for tracks but won't follow them directly, and instead will take a parallel route in case a camp exists already. If no one he'll look for a place where he can achieve three things. One spot the army for as far as possible. Two be hidden enough to not be spotted. Three be hidden enough to launch an arrow high up in the air (so he'll dull the arrow some more so it does not glint) with a trajectory to fall down below.
"Meepo no understand giant-kin." Meepo says as Ulthan stays outside of the chamber when Mordekai shuts, and locks, the door. Meepo nods to Mordekai. "Meepo do hut ritual." Glancing to the sad wizard he asks, "Can sad wizard do detect magic ritual?" Then starts to cast the hut spell then.
"I am sure he will be fine..." slowly said Lionel watching Ulthan and his pet leave the room. He sighed, shrugged and helped Ketch to close the door as best as it was possible. He walked around the room, trying not to step on the circle lines or touch anything here, just checking the bookshelves. Then Lionel returned to the door to wait for the hut to emerge. "Don't know how this circle will react to the hut but do not like the look of this quill. Or the ink." (He never liked the look of any, even non-magical) "Better check it later with the rested head."
Meepo goes about summoning his hut. Laffa meanwhile spends the time casting his own ritual. Everyone is sure to stay within a short distance of Meepo while he does his spell. Ten minutes later a magical hut appears, pressed up against the door making it impossible to open. Laffa gets up and looks around the vast library, and begins strolling.
The books, walls, and shelving all radiate dim magic, "Probably preserving them, they're in very good condition." says Laffa who pulls a book off of a shelf and begins looking through it. "Fifty Years at Sea, volume III". He lets the pages run under his fingers. "Excellent condition. Can still smell the sea salt." You figure there must be at least 10,000 books in this library. A fortune by any measure.
The panes of smokey glass are also magical, a different one, full of abjuration and enchantment magic.
The group settles down in the hut, hoping the barely disturbed library stays quite while they rest.

((Ok, so Ulthan chooses to be locked out of the room... Laffa is wandering off so cannot enter the dome? I assume the cat is with Ulthan and the bound elf kept outside of the dome area?))
Laffa wandered off after the tiny hut was done, just to take a quick peek around. Meepo asked him to detect magic, so he had to have a quick walk around the room to get within range of sensing everywhere. But he did that after the hut was made, because his detect magic spell took the same amount of time as the hut spell.
Ulthan and his cat left and went to go scout for the army. The elf is laying in the library bound up, outside the tiny hut.

"Meepo wonder if books lost?" Meepo suggests, frowning around at the shelfs. "Meepo think not, as this look like library, and books belong library." He nods his head in agreement with his own logic. "Meepo think books look worth lots though, wonder if take books and sell other book place. Meepo friends get money from books, right?" He looks around to see what the others think of this idea. "Meepo could have skeletons walk, not need ride Meepo Hole."
Laffa kicks his feet back while laying in the hut, "Sure thing. Could get a boat load of cash back at Sigil for this many books. Maybe even enough to buy yourself a wish spell to get rid of the mark."
The sound of a distant "thunk" is heard through the door and back out in the other rooms somewhere. It's silent after.
"That sounds like Ulthan's arrow? We can't open the door ourselves to let him in, can we? The door itself literally can't pass through the wall of the dome? I could go and get him... but the cat would have to be left outside."
Mordekai takes out his Tome, moves out of the hut in case the but would interfere with his Tome's magic, and writes to Ulthan, who hears the message in his head and can reply...(actually, do I need to roll a d100 to get the message through? What's the procedure for doing that?)
"Ulthan, is that your arrow? Is the army there? Come down, I can get you in the door... but I couldn't bring the cat too."
Lionel's last words before he fall into deep sleep without dreams were "The books can be cursed too". After that, he concentrated on one thing - to get much needed rest. He would not be able to tell a sound of a fallen rock from a sound of the (definitely magically enhanced) arrow that one can hear through the thick locked doors two rooms away from the source. So, could not be of help anyway.
Meepo shrugs, laying down for rest. He glances to Mordekai as he mentions Ulthan maybe being the sound of the thunk. "Meepo no know, need sleep." He curls up into a tiny ball and goes to sleep.
Ok, well Ketch would have done his own Detect Magic ritual, not trusting Laffa, and wandered a bit himself once Tiny Hut was done... Assuming he too see nothing other than described he would be curious about the smokey panes of glass but not enough to tinker with them. He would probably end up taking about 4 or 5 different books whose titles piqued his curiosity, putting Fervent Mysteries of the Halflings and A Study of the Salvation of the Humans into the spots of two of them - He's finished those and found them not worth a second reading...
Otherwise Ketch rests. He will set a guard rotation with Meepo, Mordekai and Lionel, but except for his watch he would attempt to get a long rest in.
