Pizazz's Ravenloft and Beyond

Paladin did not expect such violent reaction and got the full blow of Mordekai's spell. When the sound stopped ringing in his ears. He returned back with Tyr's name on his lips( Protection from Evil and Good on Mordekai ) determined to get Mordekai and Meepo back one way or another.

Meepo sits against the statue, pressing his back against it as he watches the giant kin with the rock.  As long as he stays close to the statue he will be fine... 

Ulthan shrugs and raises his hands as if giving up and walks around the corner outside the room... looking for something heavy that could be pushed to the ledge... hmm.. table would be nice but seems long... another statue would be great... Also how solid does this statue appear, could it be toppled over for instance?

The clap of thunder echo's through the temple, claps continuing for several seconds as they echo down hallways and through large open spaces.  

Ulthan walks out of the room and looks around. He is in the main temple chamber. There are hallways leading away downstairs. There are some 8 foot tall granite statues down on the main floor, but nothing interesting is out there. Through the double doors to his right is the long table covered in a feast, and surrounded by chairs, with all manner of things he could drag/dump down off the ledge.  As for the statue itself, it's 4 feet tall and probably weighs a couple hundred pounds.  Though...Meepo and Mordekai do seem sorta fond of it.

He spots a figure in the darkness down below, on the east side of the main temple room, emerging from the hallway that leads away.  The figure seems to be limping badly, and as he moves closer Ulthan recognizes the warrior the party had lost, Ismark. He appears to have a sword out, his bow on his back, as he limps, badly wounded, across the empty space.  He stops, looking up in your direction.  Though, with his human eyes, and the only light being the torches from the room behind Ulthan, the best he's likely to see is a large black outline blocking his view to the lit room.  He stands, unmoving, watching carefully, but staying quiet and still. 

(What about effect of Protection from Evil on Mordekai?)

"hrmpfh. Uhm... glowy one... there's something down here you need to see... like quick.... like before you do anything else... like right now... hrmpfh."  Ulthan will take cover nonetheless, ready to bolt for the crack in the wall which is way too far away from here.

Protection from Evil seems to have no affect on Mordekai at this time. He's too busy fawning over the statue.

It seemed the immediate danger was not about to kill either of his friend and Lionel went to the doors to look at the new threat, that Ulthan discovered in the room below.

(Can he see the man?)

"Maybe put statue on disk and take with?"  Meepo suggest to Mordekai.  "Giant kin most like can lift onto disk for us..." 

Lionel looks down and sees Ismark squinting up at him.

Mordekai turns to Meepo with nothing but the glint of utter delight in his eyes. "We can steal it and take it with us! The people of Barovia would surely have their spirits lifted if they could see it. I mean, we'd have to take a house here and display it in our upper window for them to see, I'm not going to part with it and put it in some town square or anything ridiculous like that!"

Mordekai calls out to Ulthan, "Hey, Ulthan, come here! We need your help." 

"Izmark?!" After Mordekai's quiet approach there was nothing to hide anymore end way and Lionel was not afraid to shout. "Is this really you? Answer me and I'll come to collect you."

Meepo starts to cast floating disk as a ritual.

Not hearing sounds of stabby from the other room, Ulthan for the moment goes "hrmph, come later, weird stuff here. hrmph." Ulthan watches the scene before him unfold moving towards as much cover as possible letting glowy man look after it, after all he apparently knows the old Ismark who is probably a new Ismark and he's going to get his lights beaten out of him.

Ismark crouched, as if started by the loud voice, then quickly limps over to get cover behind the main statue where you can no longer see him.

You hear Meepo begin one of his ritual spells back in the room.

Ulthan watches carefully the scene, arrow out, expecting something bad to happen at all times. He hears Mordekai call him from the statue room.

Agh! Lionel noted where Izmark went, but did not have time for chase in the darkness with two mad friends on his hands. He returned to the chamber picking up Ulthan on the way. Not trying to simply drag one away anymore, he simply suggested: "They might try to protect the statue if we simply try to break it. Can you hols Meepo for a while? Just do not let him cast." Hopefully, Ulthan listen, because Lionel got busy tying up Mordekai. Not offensive hands binding, just winding it around him (covering mouth as well), in hopes, that his admiration of the statue will make him passive. Since Lionel did not try to drag him away anymore and generally did not prevent the admiration.

If Meepo looks like he's about to cast Ulthan will throw another rock at him to break concentration. Ulthan intends to stay out of the room as far as possible without falling off the ledge.

Ulthan, throw your rock (make your attack), since Meepo is in the middle of casting a spell. 

Mordekai, Lionel approaches, pulling out a rope, and in a cagey way tries to start wrapping you up.   ? 

If he's facing the two people fighting then I throw the rock, once again distract not kill. Attack: 23 Damage: 2

If he's not facing the two people (he could still be facing me since last time he turned towards me) then I just dodge out of the way so the spell won't hit me.

Mordekai looks confused at Lionel.

"Why are you tying me up?" he whispers as Lionel moves in closer, "You're strong.  If you could just pick up the statue, I could get both of us out of here with the statue.  Such a beautiful statue does not belong in such an evil place as this.  But, shhhh, don't tell Meepo.  He'd have to come catch us up, and I don't think he'd like that."

He pauses for a moment, partly waiting for a response from Lionel, and partly thinking.  Then an idea hits him, "Perhaps Meepo wouldn't mind so much if he doesn't know the statue has gone?"  Mordekai casts Darkness on the statue.  "Now, Lionel," Mordekai whispers, "humour me - please try and pick it up?"
