Pizazz's Ravenloft and Beyond

Yes, the dragon is certainly in fog.

2 turns of saves for the skeletons: 

So, 7 are now free of the fear.  13 skeletons are still unwilling to get closer to the dragon.

Outside the waves have grown in the now stormy winds that buffet into the cave. The cave with 4 feet of water that is crowded with fearful skeletons are now being pushed back and forth by foaming waves that break into the cave in a steady pace.

As Meepo unleashes the blast but misses in the fog.  Then the dragon knocks Ketch over with a huge buffet of its wings.  The fog swirls away revealing the beast standing massive over top of Ketch.  The dragon, having knocked Ketch down once more, continues gouging him with its massive claws and trying to bite him in half with its jaws. 

 Claw : Attack: 25 Damage: 12

Claw : Attack: 28 Damage: 16

Jaws : Attack: 31 Damage: 20

Ulthan, fog is clear. Your action.

Ulthan goes through his repertoire of minor tricks but not finding anything better and still not looking good will continue shooting his arrows as true as possible.
Attack: 18 Damage: 7

The first arrow slams into the dragons shoulder and twirls away, while the second seems to jab in between two scales and draw blood before tumbling free to the ground. (Ulthan, you're within 30 feet of Lionel, please add 1d4 damage to your hit.) 

A tail comes slamming down onto the still prone Ketch. Attack: 31 Damage: 22

And then a thick fog pours into the area once more, filling the space around the dragon. Mordekai and Meepo aren't in the fog this time, but are presented with just a thick wall of fog to look at, within which are the dragon, Ketch, and Lionel. 

Ketch, Mordekai, Lionel, and Meepo, you may all take your actions.

     Ketch is not a happy half orc.  He may have been a bit rash in advancing on a dragon without being sure his backup was right behind him.  Well, the thing is done now.  Still and all, he needed a moment or two...

     Getting to his feet again, Ketch casts Cure Wounds upon himself once more, thankful Gruumsh finds him worthy of such a boon.  (4th level for 22 healing) 

     Then, calling upon the magics of his helmet, Ketch concentrates for a moment in an attempt to buy himself that moment or two... and perhaps draw the dragon into turning it's back on his friends...  But then Ketch realizes he cannot do that in such succession after calling upon Gruumsh for healing.  Chagrined, Ketch instead just once more attempts to circle around the dragon and get on the opposite side as Lionel.

Lionel found Ketch again mostly relying on swearing from the half-orc. "That should help a bit" Cure Wounds second level for 17

Mordekai curses the dragon loudly, frustrated by yet more fog.  In his anger, he moves to stand in the centre of the dais, picking up a random bit of the dragon's treasure on the way, something nice and breakable, that looks like it'll make a very loud sound when smashed, and he hurls it to the floor of the dais.  "Dragon!  Every time you harm him, I smash more of your horde!  You may not see me, but I'm sure you can hear it through your fog!"  He calms a little, the catharsis of smashing the dragon's possessions alleviating a little of his rage.  "Let's come to a reasonable solution before your pile is worthless."

((I did.  Would have dropped without that 30!  I'm also remembering the 2hp from the ring at the end of my turn...))

Meepo commands his willing skeletons to come into the main chamber and space out. I figure they will need all of their movement, plus the dash action for this.

He also uses his own action to send another ray of frost... ray of frost

Attack: 23 Damage: 5

The dragon in the fog sweeps his wings once more towards both Ketch and Lionel, a huge buffet slamming into both of them.

Ketch, Lionel : Dex DC 20 Save or take 13  13 damage and be knocked prone.  

 The fog swirls about, thinning in the huge buffeting attack. Several skeletons come shambling into the room as quickly as their bony legs can carry them, and spread out. 

Breath recharge: 3

Then the dragon's neck cranes towards Mordekai. It hisses, it's eyes full of anger....and..... leaps, using the buffets from his wings, his huge form moves with grace, landing between the dias and most of the rest of the treasure in the room, and opens its mouth.....a blue hazy crackling sound echoes from deep within....and then a blast of lightning rips through the room, striking Mordekai, Meepo, and Ulthan. 

Mordakai, Meepo, Ulthan, DC 19 Dex save.   67 Lightning damage, save for half.  66 damage.

NOTE: Don't know why i got a manipulate dice rolls, but it scrambled things.  Damage from breath is 66.  3 more skeletons made their saves. Breath recharge was obviously successful.  And Damage from wings was 13.

Meepo dex save: 14

Meepo casts absorb elements Taking half damage, but still... Wowsers.

Lionel Dex save (sounds like a joke by now): 10

Lionel and Ketch get an AoO for the dragon flying away...but with Disadvantage if you're prone.

Lionel's battles with the dragons were not... that stellar to put it mildly.  Now, from the floor, where he fell after dragons take-up, he did not hope even to reach the beast. But he tried nevertheless.

Attack: 14 Damage: 7

Ketch Dex Dave vs Wing Buffet - 20

     Instead of his own AoO, Ketch will use his reaction and Channel Divinity: War God’s Blessing to give Lionel a +10 bonus to their attack roll

After Ulthan presumably fires some arrows…

     Ketch, finally with a moment away from the dragon, casts a 3rd level Cure Wounds on himself for 27 

     Ketch will then move towards the dragon as much as his 30’ gets him…

Mordekai DC19 DEX save: 10

Mordekai uses his reaction to cast Hellish Rebuke, dealing 15 Fire damage to the dragon, or half on a successful DC17 DEX save.

The flames lick at the dragons sides, sizzling a few scales.

Lightning has ripped through Mordekai, Meepo, and Ulthan though.  Meepo is glowing with a blue nimbus after his magic seems to absorb part of the energy.  Mordekai meanwhile is smoking and looks a little ..... shocked?   *ahem* 

Lionel's swing is suddenly infused with power and his blade strikes out and hits the dragon as it leaps away!!  (Lionel: Let me know if you apply more damage, and at minimum, please add Crusaders Mantle damage)

Meanwhile, Ketch keeps his feet beneath him despite the blast of wind.  He must be getting used to these! 

Ulthan, your action! (and remember to make a save)
