Jaeson hears Tibby's call, referring to the old woman, and walks out to see for himself. Soon enough, he finds the old woman as well, and hunches down. "Should have warned her about bandits, indeed." With that, he rises back to his feet, and turns to walk back inside. "Got to wander about that dragon, though..." Returning inside, he stands behind the others, his mind being pulled apart in numerous directions, from his newfound powers, to the supposed dragon that the job detailed, to the mysterious woman standing before the three right now.

Skip would collect the glass viles in a small wooden box, along with the herb gathering tools and even some of the old books. As he makes his way downstairs he would meet up with the others. "Yeah I think so Tibby.. Skip would say taking his hat from his head and holding it in his hands.. much like he had done as they finished burying the bodies... right before the lovely burial tune played by Tibby. "She did have this though... It looks like she paid for a some kind of magical recipe and it is supposed to be picked up tomorrow... Check out the note. I say we bring this with us and go pick it up... we don't want it to go to waste." Skip would say as he slowly puts his hat back on his head and hands Tibby the note. He would then look over to the mystery woman. "Yes, I think you should answer my friend here.." The husky halfling would say motioning to Tibby. "We had hoped to head back to town to earn some coin but.. well... it looks like if we want any kind of reward for our time.. we will need to head to Conyberry. If you tell us about yourself, we might allow you to come along if you wanted." Skip would finish with a smile. Then looking to Jaeson. "I grabbed a few items from inside and picked up some coin from the bandits. Perhaps once we get to Conyberry we can divide up what I found here and we can continue towards getting ya back on yer feet" The halfling would exclaim with a hardy slap on the back. "I know the deal was you were working for free my gnomish friend.. but you have been very helpful so I will make sure I get you something as well... Even if it means I go without." The halfing would say with a smile.
Then looking to Yessica, he would continue. "My name is Skip by the way. I am going to head inside the mill and make us some dinner before we rest up for the night. Why don't you come in and tell us about yourself over a nice pot of stew.." He would say with a smile before turning around and heading into the building.
Tibby, stops poking the woman and eats the stew. "Wow this is really good! Where did you learn to cook? I agree we should get this item and maybe it will be worth something to someone and maybe you can make it with that recipe you found and we can sale it. Maybe we can travel under the guise of Tibby's glowing spoon elixirs? Sounds like a plan to me." Tibby says not paying attention to any protests from the others. He then cleans all the food up when everyone is done with prestidigitation and falls asleep strumming his lute.
the beautiful young woman in her dark clothing comes up to Tibby, wiping the blood from her sword as she introduces herself as Yessica, not a damsel in distress but a fellow adventure seeker and clearly well trained. She holds up her now shiny sword, so Tibby can see it good in the low light, and asks
" does this count as a glowing dinner utensil? " she then tells him about the Red Arm mercenaries who were after her and that she suspects someone thought she found a relic on her last adventure and they wanted it for themselves. And no, that relic isnt a magic cooking utensil. She offers to join you fine gentlemen in an adventuring party and says she has information on a good quest within two days journey that has promise of good loot.
Tibby says, "Ahh well maybe if you were a giant you could eat with it but I'm afraid you are much too small. Maybe skipper could make a magic stew to make you grow so that you could use your sword as a dinner utensil. Let us put a pin in this and ask when we pick the magic ingredients tomorrow."
Tibby starts to strum his lute and try a way to make mouth and sword rhyme as he falls asleep in the corner or the 2nd floor.
Anyll sees he Gnoll's mighty strike against her now friend Daishi and she casts Sacred Flame
Causing a pillar of light to descend on the would-be forest king Gnoll
Gnoll dex save 11
The Gnoll senses the heat and light and attempts to leap put of the way, but is caught in the divine radiance and his fur sizzles in its heat. He takes 6 dmg
The flames, arrows and sword work are too much for him and lays there on the ground smoldering. His breathing becomes ragged and he let's out a a last gasping statement..
Joining her new friends for stew, Yessica does her best to not jump at every sound coming from the dark night outside. "I sure am a happy wee lass that you all showed up when you did. Now did I hear you mention something about a dragon in the area?! We should probably stick together, safety in numbers ya know"
Perzy'S having found no other dangers, bids good night to his new friends and falls asleep with one eye open under an oil cloth tarp setup in a lean-to.
The dawn arrives early and you three wake within minutes of each other and begin to break camp for the north-western journey towards the Neverwinter forest. The cool breeze brought with it clear skies. During the night, some of the village horses returned to graze and Bree and Noa are able to find a suitable mount
( minus the saddle) if you wish to speed your travel. Perzy'S horse named Orc Knuckle was already loaded and ready to go. The red dragon's horn tied prominently on top of the saddle bags.
"Sounds good Yessica. We took this quest to get my friend here back on his feet. He has had a rough time and needs a little coin." Skip would say looking to Jaeson. "Since the old woman was killed though, I doubt we will get paid for that so after we pay a quick visit to Conyberry, I would love to take you up on your mission." Skip would say with a smile. "I was supposed to work tonight and tomorrow but... well.. I fear I might not have a job anymore after this but Helping out a friend is worth it!" The scruffy halfling would say with a smile. once everyone was finished eating and settling down for bed, Skip would take time to wash up the dishes out of habit.. even though the owner of the home was dead and buried. He would then cast prestidigitation to fill the area around him with the smell of freshly baked cookies before drifting off to sleep. The last thing he would do before falling asleep would be to extinguish the light coming from his spoon.
"Good puppy..." Bree soothes the mastiff she found to use for a mount. She pats the flank of the beast as it nuzzles her affectionately. "Guess we are ready to move out then?" She asks, looking around for anything that they might have forgotten to grab. Seeing nothing but rubble she shrugs and climbs onto the mastiff. "Ok, Render let's go..." She pats the big dog's neck as she speaks to him. She was very glad she had made friends with the chief's pet during her time working as his servant.
Jaeson would eat silently, deep in thought about a million different things, not chiming in much. Though, he does take the time to introduce himself to Yessica. "You handled yourself well, lass. It will be nice to have someone on board who isn't so...squishy, like the rest of us." The friendly chatter among his companions took his mind off of his worries for the time being, and soon he found a bed to drift off in. He was a little concerned about the possibility of a dragon attack in the middle of the night, or potentially more bandits showing up, but the others didn't seem overly concerned about it. Jaeson decided that he was too much of a worrier, and let himself sleep, as soon as his head hit the pillow.
Though sleep came easily to him, so too would nightmares, and it took a few occasions where he would wake up from a bad dream, before he could settle down in a more peaceful slumber.

"May the gorging beauty feast on your soul..."
Then he dies.
Daishi kneels down next to the bodies and examines them carefully. Less than noble opponents, but what would you expect from forest dogs like these. I gave them a chance to parley at least. My knighthood may be stripped, but at least I have my standards.
He searches for anything of value. Look what I've become, he thinks.
"Thank you both,"he says to his new companions Ashe and Anyll. "Do you think there are more? Perhaps we should hurry back to the lodge. What do you think they meant with ''Gorging Woman' and this territory that they are talking about?"
Daishi will use second wind to regain some health: 3
Daishi rifles through the satchels carried by the self proclaimed Kings. Mostly bits and bobbles no value. Like wads of string, a small knife, etc. The gnoll has in his satchel a small statuette the size of a chess piece made from gold that looks similar to the drawing on their shield, but barely recognizable because of its poor craftsmanship. You estimate it's probably made from coins melted down over a fire. Might be worth 15-25 gp or so, maybe more if someone sees some artistic value in it. You chuckle a bit at the thought. In the goblins pouch you find 50 sp, 25 cp and a sheet of paper with a drawing of the " gorging beauty"
You will have to ask Falcon about this when you get back to the lodge.
You three make it back to the lodge with no further disturbances, enjoying the pleasant night air. You find that Falcon has already retired for the evening, so you will have to ask your questions in the morning.
Anyllis a little bit stunned by the rate the situation escalated; he's only had to ward off intruders before, never to the death... He touches the severe bruise, not puncture wound thanks to his magic, and thanks the goddess watching over him still.
He expresses willingness to help to Daishi and Ashe, musing over the drawing for the most part with slices of polite conversation here and there until they arrive at the lodge...
"Yes, it's time to go." Noa said as he managed to get a horse to actually let him mount it. He wasn't used to riding bareback but he'd have to make due and used his bedroll as a cushion for his ride.
"It's time we start tracking those orcs. Lead the way, Perzy'S."
You start the ride heading northwest down the mountain. Every so often Perzy'S would dismount and search a perimeter looking for ambushes and to ensure they were following the right path to the small trail they needed to intersect the road to Neverwinter forest. He tells them they will eventually pass through an old destroyed town called Connyberry or some such name that was wiped out by Orc raiders a very long time ago. The peopel all believed the rumors laid by the orcs that it was the work of Barbarians allowing the force tribe to stay relatively unnoticed in the area for many years.
Noa tried to make sense of what they knew from the village and showed Bree the talisman he picked up from the wreckage. He figured that if they could find out more about what they were tracking, the better.
After several hours of travel, Bree's Treesym spots something of interest. The familiar indicates there is an altercation of some sort between a large athletic woman and some ugly humanoid and a strange looking wagon. The tressym seems to think arrows are being shot from the wagon at the woman.
The distance is hard to tell through the birds senses as they figure such things in a vastly different way, but you only need to veer slightly off the present course to intercept
