Adray turned to his companions and signaled for them to huddle up. "Im not sure we have much to bargain with money wise but we could make some sort of deal or trade. What does everyone think?"

"So fresh," the hag said in a strange tone, sort of kind, but with a hint of anticipation in it, "so new to the plane, knowing nothing like newborn. I can smell it on you..." She stood several moments in silence, thinking, nodding to herself. "You do not have anything of use to me, and yet, you brought something desired with you... I will help. That little sweety" (a nod toward Lulu) "wants her memory back. I want to see them too. But it takes some time, the ritual is not that easy. And I will need all of you joining it - if you care about your friend here, that is. While you are waiting - go, make yourself useful. My crew can use some fresh hands." (considering one of the crew was a literal flesh golem, the notion sounded ... a bit scary)
The hag turned around and walked inside the compound without adding anything else, leaving all of you with the "crew": two kenku, a flesh golem, two ravens (too smart for the real birds), a Flameskull (that floated out of the door and now "stared" at you) and a bunch of Redcaps and Madcaps (the only difference is the color of the caps with the latter being sickly greenish-black) running about with booming footsteps and crazy laughs.
The Flesh Golem made another moan and limped aside (a few madcaps immediately run after it, imitating it's moves and laughing "Mickey is dancing, let's do Mickey!".
Meanwhile, kenku turned their heads in unison, looking now at Fran. “Be a worthy worker and work will come!” suddenly declared Chukka. “Don't talk, act. Don't say, show. Don't promise, prove.” followed Clonk and beckoned artificer to the horrific construction on wheels, standing a bit aside and in the far corner of the yard. He shook his head and added with a voice full of sadness "Dead brick."
Scratching his head he tjrns towards the others and says, "So I guess we trade in labor and participate in another ritual. Then she gets to see what the memories are too..."
He moves in a little closer and says, "Needless to say, lets be extra cautious, there is no telling what she may do once we learn more from Lulu's past. She may interfere by attacking or passing info to someone in league with the fallen angel in attenlts to gain favor ." With a quick look around to make sure the group heard he steps back. "Right right, lets get on with helping out now " said st a lounder tone.
Fran would shift a little uncomfortably, taking a bit of a protective step closer to Lulu as the hag spoke her requests. Some sounds of concerns would grumble from her throat, but not loud enough to be heard outside of herself. She'd stand firm and await her departure.
She'd look up to the now gone quiet golden bundle of fluff. "How you feel bout this Lulu? We heard yer story of how yeh lost your memory. But are yeh ready teh recover 'em? Share 'em?" Fran would ask, genuinely concerned for Lulu. Whether the hollyphant knew it or not, the redhead took to her presence right away and felt bonded to her whether it was mutual or not. It was obvious to her that Lulu was special and although strong, still should be protected. She'd wait to listen for a response whether the golden hollyphant was ready to give one or not. Not that the hag really gave them much choice. But Fran would be there for her, putting all her best efforts forth for Lulu.
As Chukka continued to beckon, Fran could appreciate their no nonsense attitude and straightforwardness. She'd look to her fellow curious Kenku and place a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Choir, yer an' Akadi's guidance made all teh difference. I'd welcome it again." She'd nod to her before scanning the group. And at Adray's loud declaration, the artificer would straighten up her posture, giving him a confident nod. "Ya ready teh tackle this thing?" She'd wish to consult with him over the function, construction and testing of the vehicle. Ordrag too. Polly's intellect and magic always welcomed for problem solving and safety.
"Keep me company if I gotta climb high?" Fran would lean in to whisper to Lulu as she'd look up at the horrific 'Dead Brick'.
Aight. Let's put mah tools where my mouth is. The artificer would roll her shoulders back and crack her knuckles. "Mmk." She'd glance to the pair of Kenku's wondering if they would chime in to provide them with an overview, or if they, as a team, were on their own to prove themselves. Either way, Fran was confident in Adray, Choir, Polly, Ordrag and Lulu. They've met many challenges before them. Should they welcome her to take the lead, she would. And with a smile on her face. Even in the chance they 'failed', Fran felt good at this moment in time, like she was in her element, ready to get her hands dirty tinkering away. It was even better to have company and all the help.
Choir gladly steps forward to offer a prayer of guidance to aid Fran's efforts.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Lulu seemed to really appreciate a word of sympathy right now - for the first time you see energetic ball of positivity so lost and confused. "They did not help."(she probably meant kenku) "I mean, I met them and do not remember anything still. If I do not remember, then I can not find the sword, and if I can not find it... No, I have to! Yes, if it is the ritual, then let it be the ritual. You will be with me there, right?" Once decision was made, Lulu stopped dwelling on possible consequences and looked around with more curious eyes.
It seems the whole gang decided to check on the machine kenku were fixing. The crew followed - even the moaning and limping golem (he did not look like someone dancing in joy, but what do you know about golems?) and glaring glowing skull.
"Demon Grinder", proudly introduced Chukka this monstrosity, and repeated with the same sad intonation "dead brick". The machine itself looks as a bulky, armored coach that rumbles loudly - supposedly - crushes obstacles and enemies in its path with the help of a swinging wrecking ball. Iron jaws are mounted on the front of the vehicle, which handles like a garbage truck. Right now it does rumble (it certainly not as "dead" as Chukka claims) but nothing comes out of it, it does not move. It is kind of dirty (heavy working machine in Hell, what do you expect) and looks as complex mix of magic and mechanics.
"You bet, Lulu." Fran would say without hesitation. She'd hold out her hand in a fist to gesture for a fist bump, whether Lulu knew what it was or not. "I ain't abandonin' no one."
Looking up at the large 'Demon Grinder Dead Brick', Fran would stroke her chin a couple times before putting her hands on her hips. She'd purse her lips and then look over to their wise mage, "What are yer initial thoughts Polly?"
Polly has been silent for the most part since coming to this place, trying to get a grip on this place. Are Chukka and Clonk good? Can we trust the old hag? What will be of our little hollyphant once the ritual is over with and she has regained her memories? The questions just keep piling up..
“To be honest Fran, I don’t know. There are just too much that we don’t know yet. Do I trust these people? Not at all, but what choice do we have? obviously I will not let Holly go through this alone, but what if she goes mad from what she learns? There have to be a reason why she gave up her memory to begin with.” She look over at the machines “These vehicles look awesome, though a little frightening. I’m sure they are useful out here.”
"We don't trust you either," quacked one of the raven to Polly's open declaration, "No, we do not," answered another and both made a laughing sound.
Meanwhile Polly studied the machine. The mechanical parts did not look broken - not that Polly would know, but at least the visible sides look just dirty, not even chipped or cracked. However, there was something about one spiky gear that felt off: it sparkled, so to speak, or, better say, periodically emanated some dark mist, that dissipated almost immediately. It tok all Polly's attention with help of Choir's prayers to noticed, and when she pointed out to both kenku that strange phenomena, they confirmed, this is not what the thing was supposed to do.
"Appreciate the help," quite polite, ceremoniously and almost in unison said both, and carefully examined the gear. "Demonic essence," gave the final verdict Chukka. "Stuck," nodded Clonk. And both looked at Polly, saying - again, almost in unison and in hag's voice: "Any ideas?"
Fran would hover over Polly and the Kenku when she'd provide her review of what the issue could be. When Chukka would say 'Demonic Essence', the artificer would cock her head to the side before leaning in to squint at the one spiky gear they were staring at. She'd tap it a couple times to see if she could see what they were seeing. "So wha? This like some bad 'magic' grease or somethin'?" The artificer would air quote magic. "Can ye' replace the part or scrub it clean if it's a special one maybeh?" She'd shrug throwing the idea out there. Can you scrub magic off? She'd pat her nose thinking that could sound a little too ridiculous out loud.
Choir says a prayer, attempting to affect the demonic goo with a divine Word of Radiance. There's nothing a little holy radiance can't light up a little.
