"I am not exactly full of pockets to carry books, am I?" Giggled the skull. "No, I do not think you can get something like that around here. And you might want to restrain from the talks about fighting devils - not that they all love each other and never kill, but talking about it openly is considered a bad manners."
"I do believe, though, if you particularly please Maggy, she might consider given you a weapon fitting the machine... I'll do my part to convince her."
Meanwhile, Redcaps and Madcaps calmed down enough to pay attention to surroundings and returned to their roaming the grounds. Some again begun "dancing" after the moaning limping golem, some returned to the wall, and the most crazy few tried to throw some garbage toward the "ravens" but jumped away the moment ravens hopped closer.
Adray claps Nibs on the back saying, "Excellent job, you handled that like a real pro." He gave an approving nod and then listened to the skull talk. "So the machine thing is fixed, we found that tooth. What else is there to d I before this ritual?"
“That golem’s been groanin’ an’ limpin’ since we got here.” Fran would jut her chin out. “Think ‘ees got a problem?” She’d tilt her head, unsure if it was just his natural anatomy make up and it was normal or not. Machines and people, separately, she was alright with. But a combination of the two? I ‘unno...
Ordrag grins back at Adray. It's been a while since me hit anything. And them little turds was asking for it.Then turning back to Barnabas, he asks: Hey, can you tell us anything about where us is going, or what to look out for?

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
"You can always sweep the yard, he-he-he," Barnabus was now obviously in a nice mood. "Good eye, though. Mickey moves like that for some time now. Or was it always like that? He does not talk anyway, only moans. Those miscreants redcaps find his moaning funny and like to "dance" after him. But you might be right, there can be something wrong with him."
It does not look like the skull truly cares, more like you picked his curiosity too.

Choir looks at the golem with confusion. Would a heal spell even work on something like that? And she is going through her spell allotment quickly...not likely Akadi of the short attention span will pay attention to many more of her prayers today.
But the alternative is...sweeping Hell?
Choir attempts a small healing spell on the golem: Cure Wounds for 10 points.
If that's no good, this may be a job for Fran.

Choir's guess seems to be right, the hopping, limping and moaning are clear to the attentive eyes, though weird shape and nature of the golem obscure things. Does not seem like anyone even tried to check on the walking grisly assortment of body parts (except redcaps and madcaps, enjoying it's misery).
"Foot," says Choir to the others. "Sore foot. Can it be fixed? Try to tip it over." The golem will have to be stopped somehow to get a good look at the problem.

Fran would watch their inquisitive Kenku set off to solve Mickey’s discomfort. When she’d return with her report, the artificer would reach for her tools. She’d pull out some large tweezers and clamp them, ready to lend Choir a hand.
With that news Adray scratches his head. "Does that golem have enough intelligence to let us look or is it going to move about mindlessly and resists our help?" He didn't really expect an answer, more talking out loud.
With a sigh he heads off towards the lumbering beast. "Hey, golem. Ya got something in your foot, lets get it out."
It's possible the head piece of the golem was not particularly smart when it was alive either. But it was not an animal either - golem stopped and turned to Adray, towering even over Ordrag - fighting that thing would be... unpleasant. For a few moments it stared bluntly then slowly turned it's head down and looked at the foot (that one was humanoidish - and at least was made of soft tissues). A few more moments of staring, then Mikey lifted the foot, with a surprise ease keeping the balance (that mountain of flesh was by far not as clumsy at it looked). When it was high enough (the leg was turned under absolutely unnatural angle) everyone (including curious Barnabas) could see a small black torn, tricking out of it.
"I am not touching that thing!" Immediately declared the skull floating aside as if someone asked him to do anything about it. Golem now stared at the torn - his own "hands" were definitely too big and deformed to grab the tiny thingy.

That was not a very easy task - the "torn" was sitting in this spot for obviously a long time, walked on, and continue submerging. After a few attempts to use just fingers, Choir remembered about a pair of pliers in her tools, and tried that. Thank goodness for the strength of the Tempest Clerics - today kenku needed it all, because it felt like pulling a partucularly stubborn tooth. What finally came out of the foot, looked like a large piece of a big black bone - chipped, cracked and with protrusions, that made it into a harpoon.
When the "operation" was over (the golem did not bleed and did not even jerked during the whole process) Mikey carefully stood on the repaired foot, then placed the whole weight on it - and his mouth opened in a toothless grin. The sound, coming out of it, was definitely less of a moaning and more of a happy cooing. The moment it happened, and once Mikey made several straight steps without hopping, "caps" became furious, cursing the group for taking away their entertainment. They did not agitated each other enough, though, to attack.
"Well done," approved Barnabas again and whispered: "lately Maggy was a bit annoyed with Mikey for his constant moaning, we thought she was even going to replace him".
"Very-very good indeed," suddenly "ravens" appeared very close as if dropped out of thin air. "Helping everyone, are we? May be help yourself too? You killed that Redcap - Grubba, but he a friend - a madcap, Wazzik - as much as they can have friends. Madcaps only need an excuse to attack, and you gave them one. He is planning to kill you right now. But we do not want you to die, no. We can help to get him alone, somewhere - and there you can kill him first. What do you say?"
Ordrag shrugs and replies: Me offered to arm wrestle. Him wanted to fight. Me don't want to kill any more of them, or else there will be more that want revenge. Problem will grow like a snowball. You know what a snowball is?

"Agreed, the initial contest was non violent and he escalated it. If we were to strike first then we would be perceived as a larger threat. No, we should remain in the open here, and if a threat happens then we act. Just means we have to be careful, we're on its home turf." Adray responds.
Fran would put away her tweezers that ended up not being needed. The artificer would just shrug, give Brutus a pat and would ready herself to tag along.
Choir cleans up the bony harpoon-thorn and examines it with interest. She decides to keep it. Who knows when it might come in handy?
