The demon was scary - truly! That had to be some special magic to freeze on the place a construct (that, or Brutus was more alive than one could expect from a mechanism). Little Lulu panicked, watching the towering ape with eyes widen in terror. Yet Mooncolor was not terrified. He sang something - both beautiful and very out of place in this scary disgusting darkness - and the wave of celestial light washed over the group, removing the traces of fear.
(Brutus is free too now)
That had to truly surprise the demon. So much so, that Akadi-sent light got him uncontested, and so did Ordrag's weapon attacks, supported by the blasts from Polly. The pig-ape suddenly looked much less scarier and way more beaten up than it was a few moments ago. It's rage - or panic? - made the creature to jump into the frenzy close fight, ignoring the obvious danger.

The holy light could not touch huge demon this time, but it did not matter - the fiend bit more than he could chew (quite literally). Combined attack practically pulverized that huge body, leaving just a big puddle of ichor quickly absorbed by the scab. Polly hesitates at the threshold, nervous.. But she gulps and crosses. She pauses, looks around, then tries to act like she hasn't a worry in the world.
Adray moves in and lets out a sigh of relief. "This is it. We likely have the means to save the town and our people. Days and we are finally here... Let's not terry. Lulu, can you remember the way?"
Fran would scavenge what bolts or shrapnel she could find left from battle. But then her attention would get pulled away when the doors would open at Lulu’s approach. She’d trot to catch up with the hollyphant, Brutus at her heels. “Yeh ready fer the next step Lu?”
The artificer would follow along through the doors.
((Actually, there is no need for description delay, we just do not move until everyone levels up))
The interior of the citadel appeared to be just one large alabaster chamber brightly lit by sunlight shining through windows. How light passes through the scab and into the stained glass windows (not to mention to look as true sunlight) is a mystery only magic can answer.
You stepped in and both Adray and Polly felt uneasiness when did so, as if they were judged and though allowed in, were still watched (for OwImp it was particularly difficult). Once you crossed the threshold, though, a bright white light burned away the blood and grit staining your clothes. Restorative energy brought life to numb muscles as the glow softened to reveal the interior of a sun-kissed cathedral in all it's glory.
Pillars line a path from the door to a raised dais carved with Celestial runes. Embedded in a stone atop the dais is a glowing longsword. The runes lit up with the same brilliant light but before anyone could step closer to actually read them (at leas Choir could do it) the translucent image of a woman in her thirties wearing plate armor and bearing a thin scar on her cheek appeared before you. As she pointed toward the hollyphant, Lulu’s eyes turned pure white. A whisper filled your ears as her voice said, “I remember!” A wave of radiant energy erupted from Lulu’s body and in that blinding flash the ghostly warrior, the hollyphant, and the Bleeding Citadel disappeared.
The solace of the cathedral was suddenly replaced by havoc, screams of panic, and acrid smoke. You found yourselves standing at the edge of a small town of burning cottages, fields, and trees. A broken sign on the ground reveals the settlement’s name: Idyllglen. Shrieking townsfolk run from cackling, snarling demons and gnolls.
((Proficient in History or Religion can try to make DC 20 Intelligence check to remember the history of the place))
This is not Avernus you see in front of you, but, though very real, it still feels like a dream - something you experiences in Maggie's dream probing before. You see the town and the attackers clearly but everything beyond the settlement's borders is engulfed in a smoky haze that does not look welcoming in any way. You all are here - even Brutus this time. But like with Maggie, Lulu is nowhere to be seen.
The map (big picture!)
You are at I1 but there is no time for sightseeing: you founded yourself surrounded by six gnolls , lead by a giant hyena all ready to attack. Further on the road is an overturned cart covering some human, it seems, and six dretches claw at it, while a giant demon pounds on the door to the temple of Lathander (I3), trying to force its way inside.

It does not. You get additional benefits (more HP, new spells, etc.) but not long rest.
