Choir nods and holds out the crown to Adray.  Having the bad guys help them against other bad guys was much better than having to fight all of them.

Polly joins Fran in the back an start brooding. First she had been starved like a beggar outside the city when Eturiel vanished. Then she had been forced to join FF and already been through several life or death battles. The only upside was that they could keep the spoils if their was any and when they finally finds something good it is going to be taken away from them.

“I vote we kick these guy’s behinds and continue on our own. We’ve prooved that we are quite strong and the magical items in these chests seem to be quite powerful. And I don’t trust these guys..”  

Ordrag nods at Polly's words, and says: Yeah, me hear ya Polly. Me don't trust 'em either. We done all the work gettin' their gold and them won't spare a nib. Them don't know how to com...compro...them don't know a good deal when us give one. Maybe if them won't agree not to kill our suspects, then us only give half the gold. If them not like that, then them can fight us for the rest. Whadya reckon?

”I think that might be worth looking in to. I wouldn’t mind parting with all the gold, but I think the magical items might help us in our upcoming fights.”

Adray looked at the chest with the mask the waiting Cultists, the back and finally back to the group.  "Shit guys, I recalled something about that mask.  Its powerful and something that could lead to no good in their hands and something they wont stop until they get it.  We give and save our lives.  Big picture their cult gets stronger more lives at risk...  I got ta vote no to giving up the mask."

Fran would stretch and crack her neck to one side, then the other. “Aye, sounds like we’re decided.” The artificer would reach behind her and grasp the handles of two daggers.

Choir shrugs and pushes the crown back up on her arm again. Having an ally in Avernus might have been good, but how far could they have trusted Tiamat and her cultists, anyway?

There is no surprise and though with your new experience this particular cultists do not look all that tough - long talk and obvious hesitation of the party gave them enough time to observe your behaviour.

We need Ordrag's Initiative and can begin. (Ordrag did not add some HP after the short rest, did he? 4 healing potions from stolen goods - Choir took 2, Fran took 2 - correct?))

I did try to use Hit Dice, but it didn't seem to add any HP. Do we have to roll them separately? 13, 11

Polly will cast it By the window 15ft behind D4, hitting only D4 and D3.

Polly did it! She finally mastered that capricious spell - both D3 and D4 dropped down where they were standing (if rolling actions against them - do it with advantage).

"Sorry, You're just too dangerous to trust," Adray calls out as he rushes forward.  He draws his short sword and slashes at D2 and then quickly tries to sweep the leg.  He then finishes his momentum with a spin and strikes at DL's knee.

Adray unleashed the full fury of experienced fighter on a fancy dressed acolyte - the man did not stand a chance. If he was not dead after surgically precise strike of the sword, the final blow sent him to his Master (whoever he was) as sure as fate.

The leader of the cultists on the other hand avoided Adray's punch with a one fluent move, remaining unharmed.

Fran would tap her wrist against a chest with a tink before releasing her very familiar Acid Splash. She’d aim it at the leader hoping for a bounce to D1.
