Big monster! Ordrag lays in to the now-glowing snake demon, using his weapons not only for attack but to defend against blows, twisting to and fro to use the protection of his armor to full advantage...
If the warhammer is a hit, I'll use Savage Attacker re-roll for that attack: 8 If the warhammer doesn't hit, then I'll re-roll the critical damage instead: 20 Whichever one we go with, I can choose the higher of the two rolls.
The combined attack was devastating -- and yet demon was not destroyed. Nor did it fight back. Instead, it disappeared for a briefest of moments to re-appear behind the hulk that was moving from the church, hiding in the clouds of poison gas.
Staying behind seemed to pay out now. Polly (no advantage this time)!
Commanding the Zombie Gnolls is a bonus action, but they continue to follow the command until complete or issued a new one. So I assume they will still go after and attack the creature? Though it'll take a turn or three for them to get there again. Assuming it lasts that long...
Polly will spin and advance about 20 feet towards them, probably staying about 60 feet up in the air. She will mutters her incantation and thrust out her left hand and send three beams of purple and green crackling energy striking out at the creature once more.
Eldritch Blast Attack: 27 Damage: 5
Eldritch Blast Attack: 12 Damage: 9
Eldritch Blast Attack: 14 Damage: 9
OwImp, just within range, will also chuck a Magic Stone at the thing!
((Actually, takes a Bonus Action for Polly to have him attack... Since last turn both Zombies and OwImp attacked when only one should have been able to, I propose we erase that OwImp attack from last turn and say it's this one... So basically forfeit the attack this turn.))
((I keep counting OwImp as an independent NPC. Polly would have to order to zombies to follow the demon - it disappeared, so by their program the goal is achieved))
The big demon did not leave his--most likely--master alone and stopped advancing towards the party. But Choir tried to at least take care of the big stinking cloud ( Gust of Wind ) getting closer to the demons, but removing some danger.
Where did he...? Turning, Ordrag sees the demon re-appear 150' away. Regretting more than ever his lack of skill and experience with ranged weapons, Ordrag sighs and starts running back up the avenue.
Dash 60' toward demons.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Fran would take steps forward to place herself ahead of the others until Ordrag and Adray could come join in. She'd whistle for Brutus to come bounding this way with them. The artificer would grin, taking up a defensive position within range of the now visible demons. She'd take a chance to try slowing them down a little, hucking a glob of her trusty grease at the pair.

Adray was surprised when the snake creature disappeared. Frustrated, he looked about until he saw the others moving towards the creature. He also turned around and rushed at the create. He then tossed out his hands blasting a new spell gifted to him from the Dragon Queen.

(Demons save: 1122 )
By now the demon probably realized it's mistake with teleporting to the distance still reachable by the range attackers of all kind. It slipped on the mix of the grease and the ichor pouring from numerous wounds on it's body, got hit by force bolts from Adray -- and disappeared.
In the same moment five guards wielding spears advanced from the north. Splattered head-to-toe with black ichor, they gaze at you with hungry eyes - and pure madness. These are obvious humans, not demons, city-guards by the look of them. But something--most likely that dreadful liquid--turned them mad.
((Demon S, we’ve not seen them do anything outwardly hostile to us, as I recall, do ignoring for now...
The advancing humans.., if Polly tried [Tooltip Not Found] she couldn’t target the overall magical effect of the ichor presumably brainwashing them, correct? It would be one spell attempt per person? So Polly has too few spell slots for that...))
Mentally, and loudly verbally at the same time, Polly hollers directions to her Gnoll Zombies 🧟 “Restrain these people! Hold them, do not kill them!”
The Gnombies? Zomgnolls? head full speed towards the humans. They’ll need some time to shamble their Gnombie selves over there but they’ll go full speed til they do.
“And you,” Polly says to OwImp, “See if you can find where that demon teleported to this time! And no arguments!”
OwImp obeys. Mostly. He can be heard muttering under his breath for a short bit, but then he turns invisible and takes to the higher skies. (Since he was on Polly and she’s already in the air...) He’ll fly much higher for a birds eye view as well as keep mainly heading to the right, guessing it maybe just teleport further in the same direction...
Polly herself will fly thirty feet worth of south and easy (assuming top of math is north) to try to keep distance between her and the possible (likely..) hostile. But just in case they’re not, she’s not going to attack anything that hasn’t attacked her or her companions yet...
((Demon was slowly advancing at your position after he stopped his attempts to get inside the Temple with people in it. And if we talk about "Dispel Magic" - yes, one spell per person ))

Now the demon truly saw his targets --well concentrated in one place too-- and rushed forward, ignoring the grease and not caring the slightest about mad guards, that joined him, to get caught into his stench cloud (one immediately bend over and threw up).
It was nothing more but positioning, that part of the battle was only about to begin. Though, Polly's warning to her small undead army resonated with Choir - little kenku moved closer to the humans, probably to help.
Neither Owimp, nor Polly can see the multi-armed demon, it run away beyond the obscuring fog.

It does not look like the demon is going anywhere now, when he got Adray right in front of him. The monster proved to be quite nimble for his brute form and Adrays breath just graced over his hide, while fist attack did not find the crack in his defense yet.
With the demon close at hand and Brutus still a jaunt away, Fran would fan out some knives. With Adray up front, she'd keep in mind to aim her knives between the monks flurry of attacks as to not get him. When all was clear, she'd whip them towards their visible foe.
