Number 5 did not exactly tried to free himself, more like madly and blindly rushed toward the closest "fresh meat" and made a solid attempt to achieve it: Strength: 9, while two precise kicks from Ordrag sent number 3 in the quiet bliss of unconsciousness.
(Number one is knocked off, number 5 grappled)
The last guard (number 2) -- the woman -- is as mad as she was, though wounded. Ordrag is to the right of Choir.
It seemed everyone just stopped fighting ignoring the last mad guard. Eventually Mooncolor was able to cure the last of them and healed the one Ordrag had to incapacitated.
Cured guards thanked the group, not harboring any ill will over the understandable death of one of them, and explained that they were battling demons in the fields when they suddenly felt an overwhelming desire to consume humanoid flesh. Eager to return to the battle in the fields, they disappeared as they passed through the hazy border.
The moment they left, a woman’s voice -- the same you heard in the Temple -- enters your mind. “Nice work. Take a break. You’ve got an hour before the really bad stuff happens.”
She was not lying: as the hour approached its end, you could hear cackling laughter far off in the distance from the west it seems. This laughter gets closer and louder, heralding the arrival of more of Yeenoghu’s troops. Finally, six demons appeared on the western edge of Idyllglen — a hulking, ape-like brute and five small, doglike creatures with rubbery gray bodies and big ears. Cackles in the distance signal more enemies on the way.
The small demons you recognise by now - stinky dretches , but the ape is new with who knows what capable of.

Ordrag and Adray were sure getting their work outs today runnin’ to and fro. Fran would chuckle from Ordrag’s quip to Adray as she’d load her cross bolts and move in with them, Brutus close behind. Taking aim, she’d fire her bolts at the ape.
((Not to nitpick, but if we rested an hour before this Polly would have had the Gnombies spread out a bit into a line... prolly like 5 to 10 feet away from each other.))
"Do we know what is going on?" Polly calls out, confused by all this appearing and disappearing threats. "Have we tried talking to them?"
((Gnombies can be spread out, but demons do not look like a talkative sort. And general situation resembles Lulu's dream in Maggie's fort. Since Lulu is not around - quite possible it is more than just a mere similarity))
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Hearing that they had about an hour, Adray took his time to focus his energy and regain his Ki. He would need it the next fight. When the battle did come, he smiled at Ordrag, "No running off on my own this time." He would follow suit but a little slower. While Ordrag sprinted 60 feet, Adray would jog 50 feet and chant a spell with intent of icy death for the front most oponent.
Stinking demon number two probably did not even noticed the tiny skeleton hand above him - and was dead before had a chance to do so. The ape, whose hid was suddenly penetrated by a mere bolt, seemed surprised - and quite angry too - dashig forward to the (apparently) dangerous foe with all it's wrath. But before it got close enough to the crowd - it disappeared from the view.
Molly started to shout some words, but then bit them back. Did the ape teleport? She asked herself looking around. Or go invisible.. or is there something more at play here?
Floating mid-air, Polly shrugged and halheartedly cast her spell anyway. Lifting her hands above her head as if holding a giant stone, Polly shouts “pêl dân yn ffynnu!” and throws the theoretical stone with all her might. There is no stone but a pale purple light flashes forth, landing in the middle of the demons and erupting into a giant Fireball
(( 36 Damage or Dex save vs dc 16 for half (plus any resists and such))
“Are we reliving a dream? Or a memory?” Polly asks loud enough for the others to hear. “Are we fighting inside Lulu’s head? Is this safe? Is this smart?”
Addendum: Gnombies are holding in line, their current instructions to act as lookout and guards, to point and moan if any new creatures come within 50 feet or so.
IwImp is still invisibly exploring and searching for first demon that teleported away... they getting sight of anything?
Whether it is smart, safe or even real - no one can tell. The occasional wounds, though, feel very real - Adray could tell as much.
OwImp, either enjoying the quiet out-of--danger job or annoyed by zero results, can not report anything, the six-handed demon disappeared (did not return during short rest either). And so far gnombies did not sense any danger either.
Dretch saves: 219112
After the small fire storm settled down only one disoriented dretch was still standing there. It made few uncertain steps toward the party and stopped, dripping ichor all over the ground around.
There is no sign of Ape, though the burning trees and buildings make enough noise and smoke to damp senses, if it is invisible - it can be anywhere, if it teleported - even more so.
"The really bad stuff happens," Choir mutters nervously, hoping she didn't blow her biggest spell prematurely. She moves forward to where she can cast Sacred Flame on the last dretch, for 15 damage (Dex save DC17)

Would be pointless for a drench to even try to run from the holy light, that struck the demon down on spot. For a moment it looked like the battle was over, but suddenly one of the gnomby raised his head and gave out a hyena's laugh, attracting everyone's attention - from the mist on the southern part of the came more attackers: another pack of six gnolls led by a big "alpha", covered with brutal piercings and grotesque trophies (22 )
Mooncolor did not wait until the pack reaches the group and run forward, aiming at the disgusting intruder.
