Amrik made several steps to the stairs when Ordrag stood up, not even wobbling on his feet, to much agitation of the creature at the couch. If Polly shoot her spell now she could both understand creature's hiss and master's thoughts.
"He is behind you, Master! It did not work!" Instigating thoughts of kidnapping in Amrik's head, and much fear about the person, that sent the group after him.
Amrik sped up, gesturing on the go to the bouncers of this deck, and stepped at the stairs when red-haired Gazg stopped Ordrag: "Master said wait here". Ordrag can argue but it will take time. Creature flew up (probably to avoid Choir's attention) and now monitored the floor hissing from the ceiling. Amrik hurriedly went up.
Fran would look as though she were contemplating the drink, she'd look at her coin and sigh. "Ah -" When Ordrag would suddenly stand up, Brutus would get excited at the sudden comotion of everyone in the room. "Woof!" With his hallow bark he would start wagging his tail. The artificer would give the bartender a sheepish look of apology and get up from her spot at the bar.
As Fran stands, Brutus' excitement would double "Woof woof!" "Shh yer gunna get us kicked out!" She'd look back at the bartender, "Maybe we should go-" "Woof!" Brutus would hear her say 'go' and bound for the stairs after Amrik. "Oh bother." The artificer would head after Brutus, shimmying around the 'awkward' red head and Ordrag stand off. "Pardon me" She'd tip an imaginary hat to Gazg before rushing up the stairs. "Sorry, I just built him last night!" She'd call out as she goes.
(Can Brutus pounce or swipe for the back of Amrik's knees to trip him? Dogs do it when they're excited lol)
Not sure he is in range: Amrik passes Fran (she does not know if this is part of the plan), Ordrag is trying to follow - gurad does not allow it, ok, not part of the plan. Fran need to play out all the scene and then begin to move. All that time Amrik is moving and he is in a hurry. May be on the next deck?

Chaise begins!
Last time we saw Amrik, he was at the stairs already. Fran was the only one unsuspected and with the reason to be allowed to leave. The rest was stopped by the guard and the creature, that is in the air, hence, dumping the wine on it's head would not be an option. Ordrag neutralizes the guard (Athletics: 15), Adray successfully run his 80ft avoiding said guard, but meets bouncers, interested why he is bothering their main patron. Devilish creature hisses (now Adray got the clear message in his head to return or else) and flies closer to the staircase, raising up it's tail-needles.
Fran, ignored by the bouncers, going up the stairs, only to be caught in a thick black smoke on the top. When she and and her cute dog got through the unexpected cloud and cursing coughing patrons, Amrik is gone and Laraelra is muttering something about costly show-offs that can not leave without special effects. Bouncers on this deck are busy opening portholes and trying to get rid of the smoke. There are more people coming down the stairs to the bar and the tables.
While Adray is arguing (or fighting) with bouncers, the new person appears upon the scene - a young woman with the bronze skin, big black eyes and a mass of curly black hair tightened in the not, asks with a well modulated voice obviously used to shout over the noise, who is here called Amrik Vanthampur?
"You just missed him," Choir calls out. Drat. A perfectly good glass of dubious wine and nobody to dump it on.

When Polly realize that the imp has mind magic, she understand that they were probably found out the moment they walked in.
She rush after Adrey and Nibbs and and see that Adrey is stuck with a bouncer. To try to help in the confusion she whispers inder her breath to cast Prestidigitation"islingr, slytha" (Light source, sleep.) and she will snuff outt he lanterns in that area.

Fran will send Brutus sniffing in hope he might be able to pick up Amrik’s scent and lead them in the direction he ran or perhaps could be hiding. “Aye, slippery fellow...” She’d mutter under her breath.
"I dont have time for this," Adray growls and attempts to get past the bouncers. He grabs at one and tries to toss him down and the kicks at the knees of them both in attempt to drop them to the ground and then move past.

I am afraid, sniffing is not an option for a Steel Defender . Sound is already stretching, but among senses only visuals (darkvision and perception) are indicated. Not to mention, even a bloodhound needs some sample of the smell to work with. It's about midnight now, the streets are dark, and though it would not be the problem for a construct, but to distinguish one individual in a dark clothes from another without being specifically taught about the features of that "one" you need is difficult task. Does Fran go out to the upper deck?
There are indeed two bouncers now at the stairs plus one more in observing mode. Not to mention the creature, prepared to fight. It would take time to sort out confusion, considering an attack already was made - showing guard away.
The loud woman standing on the stairs - another obstacle on the way of chasing Amrik - make a disappointing noise but tried to locate the friendly voice in sudden semi-darkness, organized by Polly, that answered her to ask another question: "Do you know if he is going to come back?" At that moment she noticed flying menace and interrupted herself with "Holy Companion! It's a devil!". (You could safely assume the woman is a fellow Elturian - the exclamation is quite revealing). The woman took out her sword but creature made one last hiss and flew up (to the next deck).
To sum it up: Amrik is gone (as Polly can tell - convinced about existence of some mysterious "he" who sent four people familiar with Mortlock after him and knows something about ... well... everything). Downstairs everyone is on edge and mass fight can begin at any second (Gazg joined the bouncers) but so far no one got hurt - yet. The creature just flew away. The elturelian woman (still a new person to the scene) is eyeing suspiciously everyone - she just saw a devil (literally) freely moving among those people around.
Brutus would return a look of confusion to Fran. "Aye! You don't have a sense of smell." She snorts to herself as she shakes her head, amused at her mistaking her steel defenders abilities with a real dog. The artificer would give Brutus a hallow pat before approaching the young woman demanding for Amrik.
Fran would bow her head in a respectful greeting to the dark eyed woman, "Did yeh see a well groomed man dressed in black run off?"
By the way, if Fran (or eventually Ordrag) made their way to the upper deck, they could see those squeaky crows from before still perching above the dead seagulls.
The woman sharply turned to the new voice, with the chaos and high tension around she needed the question to sink before she understood it. "Someone like that did bump into me on the way here, yes, but ... Was that him?" She lowered her sword. "Another wasted day. Or do you know if he is going to return today?"
Creature hisses (curses) and moves away.
