Unable to round past the fighters in front of him to swing his mace or cast a deadly spell by touching the hobgoblin, Tallanvor seeks the calm of the void and harneses the true source forcing it into a piercing radiant energy directed at the hobgoblin.
Attack: 23 Damage: 5
If it hits, the next attack will have advantage on the hobgoblin

((I'm assuming a 22 is a hit, so rolling with advantage))
With a feral cry of "Up yours, you indolent, ugly, hairy spawn of Skiggaret!", Humblodt brings his shillelagh smartly up between the hobgoblin's legs (24 for 11 damage), "and your father smelt of elderberries!" he adds in disgust, on realising that the hobgoblin is wearing a chainmail codpiece.
The insult was written when I was expecting to hit a bugbear, but it seemed a shame to waste it ;)
The bolt of energy hits the hobgoblin, illuminating it. It's corpse fails to the ground still glowing and covered in burns. It's chainmail codpiece flares brightly in the light.
Humblodt's Shillelagh swings upwards, but misses the delicate area it was intended for.

Ro looks down at the hobgoblin bleeding out on the floor and spits out some blood. Then she turns and attacks the bugbear, slashing wildly at whatever she can reach.
Humblodt utters an incomprehensible word that may or may not be an ancient Dwarven curse, which seems to revitalise him ((bonus action healing word restores 4 hit points)).
He then swings with his shillelagh towards codpiece o'clock, but it is a feint; he reverses the swing to clout the creature on its ear ((Attack: 17 Damage: 7))
Ro pounces on the falling bugbear and continues hacking away at it until the bellowing in her mind peters out.
As the rage fades she looks down at the gory mess that was the bugbear's face, then up at the party, and then down at her arms and torso - completely covered in blood.
Somewhat overwhelmed, and maybe a little bit light-headed from her injuries and the adrenaline wearing off, she gives Humblodt a pleading look.

"Don't worry, I think it's dead", Humblodt tells Ro gently. He gives the dead hobgoblin a kick in the codpiece and winces at the resulting pain in his foot. "They all are".
He quickly checks the corpses for anything of note before gesturing to the rope, "Best we join the others lest something else comes this way".
Twiglet gradually calms down from the frenetic combat. He looks appreciatively at the crossbow and silently vows to get hold of one for himself when he gets the chance.
Then he remembers why they were forced into the panicked retreat and desperate battle. His clumsiness, overconfidence and desperation to prove himself to the others. He had learnt a huge amount so quickly and felt stronger in himself, but he dreaded someone asking the question ‘who alerted those bugbears?’ Who needs a scout that can’t stay quiet??
Twiglet quietly helps to search the combat area for valuables, gives back the crossbow and generally tries to avoid eye contact with the others.
With all those thoughts whirling in his head, It takes him a while to realise he isn’t nearly so shaken about the blood, or the death of these monsters. It’s true that the bugbears were fixed on attacking his friends. He had little choice in this fight. But, was that the only reason? The lack of shock...disturbs him somewhere inside. Is this what it meant to be a hero? To be blind...insensitive...headless of the death that surrounded you? Walking with your armour gleaming and head high with your wake as red as the sunset?
The largest bugbear carries a pouch containing 15 cp, 13 ep, and a potion of vitality. The others only seem to have their weapons and armour which amounts to three large clubs, 5 javelins, and a Hobgoblin sized longsword and shield.
Noticing Twiglet has joined them, Humblodt claps him on the back. “You did good there lad. We knew we’d never get away without having to fight those things, so it’s as well we got it over with.”
Twiglet looks into the gruff Druid’s eyes and sees knowledge, wisdom and honesty. He relaxes, the dwarfs rough hand feeling heavy and reassuring on his thin shoulder. Twiglet smiles openly in relief with the realisation that his comrades know, but don’t begrudge his mistake.
Twiglet thanks the dwarf for his bravery, then heads straight as an arrow to where Roars in Silence is doing a terrible job of lurking in the shadow cast by the remains of the burning oil. Without hesitation, the little halfling hugs the goblin, ignoring the stickiness of blood. “You were amazing”, Twiglet says earnestly. “Your fury is stronger than their clubs or axes. “ he hugs her again and simply says “thank you”.
Ro avoids making eye contact but accepts the hugs and her expression softens somewhat. She nods and glumly signs back. "You are a good person." whispers Twiglet. "The bugbears attack for no reason. You only attack when you have to. Yes you are good at it and you enjoy your power. I am good at sneaking...and I enjoy that I can do it."

I must have typo'd that:
The spell attack should have been +5 not +6, so 22 not 23

The bugbear's back and legs are sliced open, blood covering Roars. It stumbles but uses it's club to support itself.

[And you is very good at sneaking! That trap was a good idea. We should put traps around campsite maybe so we can no be surprised in the night.]
